Its better to PRACTICE your drawing instead of getting into the habit of taking other peoples work and coloring over it.
Saying the excuses 'i dont have a scanner' 또는 'my camera sucks' 또는 'im not good at drawing' are NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH.
Like Lolly said; If 당신 have consent from the artist and GIVE THEM THE CREDIT, then it's fine. Just giving them credit isnt good enough. 당신 need to ASK them!
Seriously, im sure they put LOTS of hard work into that picture and 당신 think 당신 can just waddle onto DA, take whatever 당신 want, and just post it here like 당신 wont get into trouble?
당신 will. Im sure there are DA artists on here who dont appreciate their art being used w/o permission. I know if I saw MY art being 게시됨 here w/o my consent, id be pretty dern angry!
Bases are perfectly fine; they're used so people dont HAVE to draw the bodies that might be to hard for them! That's why they're made! Not so that they can be ignored and the artist's REAL work can just be taken and edited over like it was nothing.
Its not only editing the work; its just taking it in general. ALOT of people take pictures from DA and post it as their character 'referance' for contests on here and such and say 'this is my character.'

Taking art from someone and claiming it as your own 또는 not asking permission to use it is WRONG.
And if 당신 guys don't get that, maybe there should be a 신고 system where we can tell 팬팝 staff that your stealing from other people, and they can suspend your privleges until 당신 learn your lesson.
No offense on that last sentence, but i mean common; would 당신 appreciate it if 당신 worked REALLY hard on a picture, then some 랜덤 person 당신 dont even know came along, took your picture, edited over it (horribly 또는 not), and claimed THEY made it?

OK this stuff is what starts 팬팝 wars. I dont care if 당신 hate seeing paint overs. I dont care if people should be original. I DONT CARE!!! Yes people shouldt steal and make it thier own. Yes they should draw there own pics. but should we bash and make people who pain over feel bad? HELL NO!! So whay cant we all just shut up and deal with it. Cause news flash, 당신 guys can post BILLIONS of things like this, it wont stop. People wont stop paint overs. They wont stop stealing. They wont start drawing on there own. should they? yes. will they? NO. Besides some paint overs are not bad.

Well, I would, but I don't have a scanner and I don't own a camera. So, paint-overs are my only solution. Srry :'(

The only reason i paint over is becuase i can't draw TDI style all that good, but if i have a base it makes it good. Here is something i just drew on MS paint:

Gwentrentever is not a bad girl, maybe she didn't know that it was against the law doing that without giving the artist credit. Don't take it as a bad thing, cuz is the first time that 당신 say that to her. Is not that we are all the time saying it like with pop9ana. Give her a chance, she will not do it again ^^

so since Jacki (gwentrentever) quit i have been informing her on everything that mentions her, so i e-mailed her this, and she said for me to tell u that...she doesnt fucking care what 당신 또는 anybody says, she breaks the law everyday, and she got permission from the artist and did give then credit, so 당신 should shut the fuck up and get your facts right, and shit like this creats fights, and she dont care bout 당신 people because she cant stand this place and the people in it...-Jacki... ok when she sent me the message i thought she seriously over reacted, but she turned into something like really mean, shes seriously kinda bitchie now, and i dont think i even wanna be her friend, but im loyle, and jacki is still and always will be one of my bff's, oh and jacki also said that if people were true 프렌즈 then they would stick up for eachother so her 프렌즈 on here shouldove stood up for her, and if your her friend 당신 wouldnt be talkin crap bout her- words 의해 Jacki (gwentrentever)

I've wanted to post something like this for a long time, but I didn't have the guts to have everyone mad at me ^^;

I'm on deviantart as well as 팬팝 and I frequently see people stealing a lot of my 프렌즈 art work. I think its extremely unfair for people who work very hard on a piece of art and then decide to share it with others, only to have it taken, scribbled over and claimed to be someone else's. It really sucks.

People who say they can't draw just need to practice. I couldn't draw until I sat down for hours drawing the same things over and over again.It took years,and I'm still not amazing, but I'm still learning.

Oh my Gosh, Preach sister Preach! One of the things that piss me off the most on here are colour overs. I look around Devianart and see people's truely awesome 팬 art, then come on here and see that their art has been brutally coloured over and it just makes me sad.
