      The Brunswick High building stood towering over new girl Chloe Sanders. The logo of the pirate dangled over her head as her lawyer mom waved bye while trying to have a conference over the phone. The fears of the new school 년 took their toll but Chloe was too cool to let first 일 jitters tear her down. She flipped her shoulder length light brown hair out her dark brown eyes. A tall, slender guy in a varsity 재킷, 자 켓 bumped into her while he was talking animatedly with his friends. "Oops, sorry, didn't see 당신 there."
      "Obviously," she mumbled back. He smiled a crooked smile that showed his white teeth. He found her amusing.
      "Catch 당신 later," he said while walking backwards and then quickly turning around.
      She had exactly 5 분 before the morning 벨 rung and her homeroom was on the other side of the building. This was going to be tough. 

Shea Wainwright strolled through the halls with her wavy, blonde hair sashaying back and forth. Her electric blue eyes and dimpled cheeks made others confuse her as an angel. If 당신 are one of those people, then 당신 are sadly mistaken. The beautiful blonde walking before us now is an arrogant, self-centered, monster who only cares about herself. Her group followed closely behind, being aware that they weren't trying to steal the spotlight from Shea. 
      Down the halls she went, in her tight blue 고삐, 홀 터 넥 dress and adorable blue heels. The first 일 of school was the first 일 that she show all of the freshmen who's boss. If they thought high school was tough, wait until they meet Shea. Her boyfriend, Eric Morrow, stood 의해 her locker with his varsity 재킷, 자 켓 on. He was the perfect boyfriend. She ran up and kissed him on the lips in front of everyone.
      "Hey, babe," she greeted. "Excited for the first day?"
      "Yeah but new girl alert. I saw this morning." He hid his smile.
      "Gross, was she cute?"
      "Nah, just a little confused." 
     Shea linked their hands together as the morning 벨 rung signaling them to get to class. "Great because I don't feel up for competition this year."
      "Can't handle a little comp?" Her friend, Terra, asked playfully. Shea didn't receive it as a joke. 
      "Shut up," Shea replied.

Blair Borgen was already at her 책상, 데스크 and ready for homeroom. Her school supplies were out and ready to be used. This senior 년 would have to be the best academic wise. She wasn't trying to make friends. She just wanted this 년 to be the best since she would be going off to college 다음 year. She really wanted to go to Harvard but Yale was her 다음 choice.
      Eric Morrow came in through the door looking as cute as ever. His mystical grey eyes and soft dirty blonde hair made him the cutest boy alive. He also played football which only added to his cuteness. His girlfriend, the evil Shea, came in alongside of him with there fingers linked. It ticked Blair a bit to know that their relationship had survived over the summer while her's crumbled.
      Two years ago, Eric was the ugliest boy alive and Shea wanted nothing to do with him. He was a nerd and also Blair's. best friend. They did everything together like study 또는 read. But when he came back from his family vaction to Paris, France he changed. He wasn't a nerd anymore. He was a full on hottie. Blair had liked him when he was a nerd. They tried keeping their friendship but it was last summer when they finally stopped talking to each other. No 더 많이 texting, calling, 또는 setting up study dates. They were officially no longer friends.

As Corey Louis took his 좌석 in his homeroom class, he only had thoughts for one person, Blair Borgen. She was pretty, smart and hilarious. She was everything he was looking for. If only he had the courage to talk to her, then maybe he could finally have her. 
      "Good morning pirates," said the principal over the speaker. "Just a few announcements this morning. Lunch lady Ava is turning 83 tomorrow. All lunches have gone up 30 cents. Now for the exciting news of the day, Derek Tonkin is coming to our school." 당신 could hear the screams from the girls in other classrooms.
      He wondered why he couldn't have girls scream over him. It wasn't like he was ugly. He had thick black hair and sea green eyes that turned to a forest green when out of the light. Like I said, he wasn't ugly. A little short for his age and not as muscular as a jock but he looked decent. Everyone categorized him as a nerd because he has to wear these thick glasses. It isn't his fault that he has eye problems. He just wanted to be excepted for who he was and a nerd is not it.
