I go to school the 다음 day, my head pounding slightly from the amount of alcohol I consumed. I knew I drank a lot, but not THAT much.
I walk into the school, Boxxy, Sophia and 샬럿, 샬 롯 all swarm around me.
“Soooo...?!” Boxxy asks.
“So what?”
“Tell us what happened last night!” Sophia persisted.
“Why are 당신 guys so convinced something happened?”
“I saw 당신 sneaking upstairs with your beau!” Boxxy replied. “Don’t even try and lie to me!”
I chuckle to myself.
“Please Chloe,” 샬럿, 샬 롯 says, very politely. “We really want to know.”
“Fine.” I bit my lip a little, “Something did happen last night. Something with Ryan.”
Tegan’s POV
I raise my head when Chloe starts talking about her time at the party last night, and Ryan. I’m only a few lockers away from her; it’s not too hard to hear.
“Welll...?” Boxxy asks.
Chloe takes a deep breath and smiles at her friends.“I finally hooked up with him last night!”
My 심장 falls to the bottom of my chest. No. Not him... why him...?
I just don’t know what to feel right now. Anger, hurt, betrayal?
I’ve loved Chloe my whole life... and to have something like her virginity taken from her, and 의해 him no less. Someone who I know doesn’t care about her as much as he says he does.
I grab my bag from my locker and walk to first class, seeing Ryan sitting in his chair all smug, other guys are crowded around him as he explains the story to all the unpopular boys in the class. The story of how he hooked up with the girl of my dreams, the girl of every guy’s dreams.
“Was she... good?” One boy asks.
“Yeah...” Ryan says, “She was amazing.”
“Ryan!” I call at him. “I need to talk to you.”
Ryan looks at me, “What’s up bro?”
“In private.” I hiss.
Ryan gets up from his chair and walks with me out the classroom door. I don’t even know what I’m going to say to him.
“What the hell Ryan!?” I snap as soon as him and I are alone.
“What?”
“You and Chloe!? 당신 had sex?”
Ryan gives me a look, “Yeah... it was bound to happen eventually.”
“First, 당신 said 당신 wouldn’t flirt with her because I like her, then 당신 said 당신 wouldn’t 날짜 her because I like her, and then 당신 said 당신 wouldn’t sleep with her cause I like her!” I explain.
“So that’s what this is about.”
Ryan looks down at me, “Look man... I know 당신 like Chloe and all, I mean, she’s incredible, and I’m sorry that her and I are together. But 당신 need to accept it and 옮기기 on... at least give us that.”
I stand there once Ryan leaves, hands clenched tightly into fists, I can’t accept it. Not when I know I could be so much better to her.
Chloe’s POV
A few weeks passed like normal, until I started feeling... weird.
I stepped out of my vehicle, leaning on it because I feel like I might pass out. I walk into school slowly, I hardly slept last night; I felt too queasy to even close my eyes. I’ve been feeling this way for a few days now, actually.
“Clo!” I hear Tegan call.
I turn to face him as he runs towards me.
“Hi...” I say softly.
Tegan looks at me for about a second, and instantly can tell there’s something wrong. “Are 당신 okay?”
“Yeah.” I lie. “Just tired and-”
I hold up a finger and run to a nearby trash-can, vomiting straight into it, everyone around the area give me looks like I’m a massive freak.
Tegan walks over to me and takes another look at me. “You need to go home.”
I feel so terrible... and then the thought occurs to me and I almost drop to the floor in shock, Tegan has to tighten his grip so that I don’t slip out of his hands.
My 심장 starts pounding faster and faster, and my palms grow sweaty. It can’t be. I have to be psyching myself out.
“C’mon Clo. I’ll drive 당신 home.” Tegan says.
“NO!” I cry, rather loudly. I didn’t want him finding out what I feared may be the truth.
“I’ll drive home, just-” I’m stuttering slightly, “Just tell my teachers I’m sick; okay?”
Tegan nods, “Okay... bye Clo!”
I run out of the school as fast as possible, and to my vehicle. I frantically put the keys in the ignition and ref up the engine. It can’t be. I can’t be...
I drive to a nearby drug store, and grab a scarf from my 장갑 compartment in order to hide my face. I don’t want anyone to recognize me and tell my parents.
I nervously walk around the store, reaching for what I’m looking for. I try to cover up my face with my scarf, to try and hide my actual age. A teenager buying one of these? What would people think?
I drive home, and luckily, I’m alone. I sprint to the bathroom to vomit again, and then I lift up what I bought, hands shaking.
A few 분 pass until my phone alarm goes off, my head is filled with all sorts of thoughts. Please don’t let it be this way.
I look down at the stick, and my hand instantly flies to my mouth as I gasp. Tears pool in my eyes and begin pouring down my cheeks like rain.
I’m pregnant.
