I think it's even worse when they think we're monsters (do I fucking look like Sully?) 또는 are diseased and contagious (we'd ALL be gay if that were the case!) 또는 a 'threat to the children' (right, because open-mindedness is oh so awful).

They do need to grow the hell up and realize that we're human. We are not less than they are.

To be honest though, I think the homophobes on here are the minority. There is a lot of pride to the LGBT community and so it's not like everyone is evil and against it.

Also, people who are against the whole gay lifestyle, doesn't mean they are homophobes. They just disagree with your opinion. That doesn't mean they're afraid of them, which is what homophobic means, just that they have a dissenting opinion. Just because someone does not agree with you, doesn't mean that they deserve hate either. I think everyone's opinion should be treated fairly and not hated on both sides. But that's just my viewpoint.

I have many gay friends, and I live in a town known for the gay people. I'm straight myself, but I will never insult people with them names, it's immature.

사랑 was mean't to be for males & females to bond, but if its the oppisite whatever. I'm not lesbian 또는 bisexual, but I support gay rights. Hey, atleast they aren't pretending to 사랑 somebody that they really don't. Its just a way of life, kinda like a generation. Think of it, its just like coming from Germany 또는 Russia instead of USA. 당신 guys don't tease/insult people like that, do you? I hope not. And its their choice, why rule their life?

There has been a lot of 토론 here on 팬팝 about this stuff. Yes, I agree that homophobia is wrong. Using "gay" as a synonim for "suckish" is like calling a black person the n-word.

I'm straight but I respect anyone who is not! Everyone deserves equal respect because everyone falls in 사랑 so I don't see why we should make fun of people who 사랑 some one from the same gender 또는 not.

I agree. Although I'm straight, I know people who are gay (my cousin for example) and I don't think it's fair that their 사랑 is looked down upon just because they're of the same sex. I've even defended about this topic on the Harry Potter vs. Twilight spot because some fanpoppers decided to use homophobic words on pictures I uploaded of Drarry (Draco/Harry) and Jedward (Jacob/Edward). The pictures weren't offensive at all, but some people got offended just because it was a 슬래쉬 pairing.

사랑 is love. In fact, some gay/lesbian couples look cuter than straight couples in my opinion. I don't care if people have different sexual preferences as long as they're not hurting anyone, what difference does it make if they go out in public holding hands.

I personally think that gays and 레즈비언 deserve 더 많이 rights and freedoms, like honestly, 당신 shouldn't pick on someone just because they like someone of the same gender. Gays and 레즈비언 should be allowed to be free and have whatever sexual preference they want.
And people who call people fags are absolutely rude! Fag is a horrible term for anyone! No one should call people, gay, lesbo 또는 fag as an insult.
As long as society is anti-gay/lesbo, then it will seem like being gay/lesbo is anti-social. 당신 won't be allowed to be that way... it seems like 당신 can't have a life.
I'm straight but I know people who have liked the same gender. One of them even forced herself to become straight because she couldn't live with all the teasing, she's happy being straight... but 당신 can tell she misses being the way she was before.
And suicides, thousands of gays and 레즈비언 kill themselves because they can't stand the bullying... how do we know we're not causing that kid to die 의해 saying one little insult? We can change that...
