They stood there for a moment in total silence. Foreman gently pulled the sheet over her to cover her as a lone tear traced down his face.

Wilson, the nurse said that an older man came into Thirteen's room before she passed. They said it looked like he was praying with Thirteen and House.

"Did they say what he looked like."

One of the nurses said he looked a little like Sean Connery. "Do 당신 have any idea who it might have been?"

"Yeah I do I think." Wilson turned to go as Foreman asked him if he wanted an autopsy?

No, "she died of complications due to Huntington's."

As Wilson sat at his 책상, 데스크 he opened the letter from House.

Wilson,

당신 have had the great misfortune of getting branded as my one and only friend. You've been a better friend than I ever deserved. I have went between being numb to hurting so bad I could hardly breathe and I honestly just can't do this anymore.

Thirteen defined herself 의해 her disease and I have defined myself 의해 my past and the people in it. I focused on their faults and weaknesses and somehow ignored all my own. Maybe not ignored them but finding fault with everyone else relieved me of any responsibility to deal with my own.

Maybe people never change because we never allow them to. 의해 holding them to all their flaws it somehow releases us from any responsibility of having to look at ourselves.

Wilson folded the letter as he started back to Thirteen's room.

Foreman, "did he say anything?"

"You mean House?" No not really. He just looked really tired.

Foreman when the rest of the team comes in gather them in House's, I mean your office and I will be back.

Wilson, "we both know it will always be House's office."


On the ride over to House's apartment, Wilson realized maybe he had been a little rough on House. After all House had pulled his time and it had changed something inside him. His feelings for Cuddy had changed him.

As he arrived at his old friend's place the door was ajar and as he entered he noticed that the 피아노 was covered. As he began to go through the closets and drawers he noticed a lot of clothes were gone. House was gone.

As he returned back to the hospital he met with the team and informed them to take a few days off.

Wilson, "have 당신 talked to House?" "Does he know about Thirteen", Chase inquired?

He was with her Chase. I am not sure where he went. He left Thirteen's wishes in an envelope so we will handle the arrangements.She has no family.

"We were her family", Taub spoke up.

Wilson nodded in approval; if any of 당신 want to say anything please do so. I thought we would all be the pall bearers.

The 일 was slowly going 의해 and Wilson was feeling the pressure of running a hospital, trying to keep a team together that had been falling apart for two years, and a budget that was almost unmanageable.

He had called Blythe to see if she had heard from House. She said she hadn't talked to him in about two weeks. The 다음 call was one he had hesitated to make but he needed a friend.

As the voice on the other end said hello, he gently spoke telling her it was James. He told her about Thirteen and all the difficulties of running the hospital. He was worried about House and he just needed someone to talk to.

The 일 of the funeral came and as they prepared to say goodbye to their friend. It was a beautiful 일 as well as a tough day. There had been so much loss for this group in the last seven years. They had buried colleagues, friends, wives, and parents. They all trying to say good-bye but they were all ready to walk away from Princeton Plainsboro and some even from medicine.

House hadn't been the same since he had been back and the team was really losing their desire to hold it together. In all his flawed outrageousness House was a born leader and this team depended on him for leadership and he was broken and although he had tried to 옮기기 on he just couldn't get the pieces to fit anymore.

As the ceremony wrapped up they were all shocked 의해 the sound they were hearing. As Wilson turned he saw House pulling up on his bike.

He was dressed in a suit and tie and as he walked to the site he had a rose in his hand. He placed it on Thirteen's coffin as he went to the front and began to speak.

As I look at 당신 today I see a group of people who are at a crossroads. 당신 may be asking yourself what it all means 또는 where to go from here. Why keep trying? We have 로스트 many things in these last years together but we have also done some great things. The one thing I have learned is 당신 can hold on to your failures 또는 당신 can forgive yourself and go on. Thirteen was a beautiful, young, and intelligent woman and doctor. Her disease defined who she was and maybe I could have been a better friend 또는 leader. I will try to be a better leader if 당신 still think 당신 can follow me.

I... I and the harder he tried to continue the 더 많이 impossible it became. His tears were flowing and despite his efforts of trying to hold himself together he was losing that battle. The team had never saw this "House" but there was one in the crowd that 일 that knew this was the man he was destined to be.

Wilson got up to go to him but he felt a hand gently pushing him back down and a voice spoke and said, "I'll take care of this." As he looked up he nodded and resumed his position in his chair.

She walked to the front and she put her hand on his. He looked at her through tear soaked eyes as she squeezed his hand just a bit.

We are 더 많이 than just a team of doctors we are family and we have 로스트 a member of our family today. So it is ok to be sad and to shed tears and to feel loss. Dr. Remy Hadley was a good doctor who cared about her patients and her friends. It is with heavy hearts we gather here today to celebrate a life that was gone too soon. Thirteen would not have wanted 당신 to give up 또는 to quit. She would have wanted 당신 to make a difference and to stick together. Dr. Hadley (Thirteen) we will miss 당신 very much.

They all stood as they began to sing. They didn't sing a traditional song but they sang one of Thirteen's favorites.

As they were talking they heard the sound of a motorcycle in the background. She looked at Wilson,

She began running toward him. As he looked up and saw her he cut the bike off. He removed his 헬멧 slowly and sat it down.

"I don't know."

She walked a little closer and placed her hand on his face. Their eyes filled with water, with longing, and for the first time a peace.

"Where are 당신 going?"

With his head bowed he raised up to look at her slowly. He shook his head a bit.
