Why cant 뱀파이어 just use sunscreen?

Because those are faries not vampires.

Because sunscreen does not stop the sun from touching you. Just like how 당신 can get a sunburn while wearing sunscreen, a vampire (whether he glitters 또는 burns) would still be effected 의해 the sunlight shining down on him.

It was because Meyer wanted uber special 뱀파이어 and thus took away every single weakness that they have. This comes from the fact that I can't possibly believe that Meyer wasn't in the slightest familiar with vampire legends before she started writing. She takes too much from other Vampire authors to be funny. But anyways, she figured cutting their weaknesses was a good thing, but that is just poor writing.
