Just a quick little Fic that popped into my head,
for all the 엘 팬 out there, Enjoy!
엘 sat on the high backed metal office chair in front of his computer scanning through some of the information they had gathered that day. He pulled his knees closer to his chest with his left hand while his right hand absently left the 쥐, 마우스 and blindly felt around for his near empty 딸기 Sundae glass.
L’s hand finally found the 디저트 container and, ignoring the spoon, reached in with one long index finger, scooped out some of the whip cream and 딸기 sauce that clung to the edge of the glass then brought it to his mouth as his wide eyes continued to take in the facts on the glowing computer screen in front of him.
He finished licking the sweets of his finger and smacked his lips together contentedly as he placed his hand back on the 쥐, 마우스 to scroll down through the latest pages of the Kira file.
The room was quite except for soft humming sound the computer made as it strained to keep up with the pace at which its genius user was flashing threw various programs and files.
엘 absorbed information very fast and deciphered it ever faster.
It was impossible for anyone to keep up with him, and 더 많이 often then not they only managed to
slow him down, which is why he had sent everyone 집 for the evening so he could have time
to sort threw things without any interruptions 또는 distractions.
He had even decided to remove the handcuffs from light for the evening, Telling himself that he was unable to decipher his thoughts about light because he was too close to him and as a prime suspect in the Kira case it would be better for him to once again observe light from afar.
Light was how ever much closer then he was when he had been monitored in his 집 의해 the hidden cameras 엘 had placed some months before.
엘 glanced up at one of the large tv screens, that held the 이미지 of all the surveillance cameras 엘 used as his eyes for the outside world.
He focused on the left corner of the screen where he noticed light was sleeping quite soundly in his apartment, Just two floors above.
Then he looked at the image beside it where he saw Misa pacing accost her apartments living room floor.
“Peculiar”L thought to him self, “What would be keeping Miss Aname awake at a quarter to two in the morning.” “Hmm” he sighed chewing on his thumbnail.
“Had she awoken from a restless sleep?, or, had she not gone to 침대 all together?.” 엘 looked at the 다음 panel on the screen that showed Misa’s bedroom her blanked was wrinkled and one side of the covers had been thrown back on themselves indicating that she had at least been in 침대 once that night.
He looked back at the tiny Misa pacing across the floor, on the screen she looked as though she was trying hard to figure something out, 또는 she was undecided about something,
She had even started to walk toward the door a few times but changed her mind mid stride and turned back to resume her pacing.
Since it appeared that neither Light nor Misa where doing anything that would lead 엘 to a major breakthrough in the Kira case he decided to continue to read threw the list of Kira’s most recent victims.
The only thing this list did however, was 확인 that there where defiantly three different Kira’s, for even though the way in which he killed his victims was summarily puzzling and the victims had all been 더 많이 또는 less people the world could do without, there was still a noticeable difference in the murders like the system of killings had been evolving 또는 shifting gears,
Either way 엘 had decided two things.
#1. There where defiantly three different people claiming to be Kira.
#2. Only one Kira at a time was committing murders,
that fact was the most confusing to L.
Where they working together?, Taking turns?, Using there different killing patterns to confuse authorities wile assuming the same name? It seemed unlikely to 엘 that that was the case.
엘 stretched and wiggled all ten toes that hung slightly off the edge of his chair and then used his left foot to scratch the 상단, 맨 위로 of his right one.
This case was turning out to be one of his most challenging which both thrilled and irradiated him because he loved the great challenge its level of difficulty presented him but also disliked the length of time it was taking him to crack the case, for even though he knew it would be impossible for a normal person to reach even half the conclusions he had, he also felt his talent was slipping because the case had not been solved in the amount of time he had originally estimated it would take him.
엘 looked up once 더 많이 at the large screens above him and noticed Misa was no longer pacing in her living room.
He looked over to see she was not only absent from the living room but she was not back in her 침대 either.
엘 quickly scanned the other screens and finally found Misa entering the elevator outside her apartment.
“Where was she going?” L’s hand moved for his cell phone, prepared to call for backup if Misa needed to be followed out of the building but relaxed when she pushed the 24th floor button which meant she wasn’t leaving without talking to him first.
He then re focused his attention on his computer and waited for the familiar clicking sound the door maid which was magnified 의해 the large empty room.
Sure enough less than thirty 초 later Misa opened the door.
She walked quietly across the floor, her black 모피 covered house shoes making a soft shuffling noise as she came closer to where 엘 was sitting until she stood right behind him.
엘 didn’t 옮기기 nor did he acknowledge the fact that Misa had even entered the room and the silence that 엘 had maintained in the room since everyone had left,continued on.
Misa stood 겨울왕국 in the silence until she could stand it no longer,
“Um, Excuse me, L?” Misa said hesitantly in her sweetest voice. “Yes..Misa?.”
“I was..um, just wondering..if 당신 might consider leaving the handcuffs off Light tomorrow, so we could go on a 날짜 alone.” “No, 당신 know I can’t do that Misa.” “Ohhh, 엘 Pleaseee!? ,Just for lunch, and maybe a movie, and then 당신 can cuff him back.” 엘 did not respond immediately.
He hated how easily Misa disregarded his response to he 질문 as if he never really meant
what he said and continued on as if he hadn’t said no.
“You could put cameras up everywhere we go and have us followed at a distance, 또는 what ever 당신 want, Just please let us go somewhere without having to drag 당신 along.”
엘 spun his chair around to face Misa.
He tilted his head slightly as he took in Misa’s appearance up close, she was still in her night 겉옷, 가운 a very short black sateen number with red 레이스 trim on the 상단, 맨 위로 and bottom over it she wore a sheer black long sleeve cover that was tied in front with a thin red sateen bow and had black 모피 at the ends of the sleeves to match her house shoes.
His eyes grew wide and when he finally managed to speak his voice wasn’t as steady as he had hoped it would be, “Um, Misa, are 당신 saying that 당신 do not like me?” “Of course I like 당신 L!, I just wish Light and I could have a little alone time.” “But 당신 would not really be alone Misa. If I had cameras on 당신 and had 당신 followed as 당신 said, your 날짜 would be even less private than if I alone went with you. I would also like to point out that if I where left here I would be watching 당신 two much 더 많이 closely then if I was with you, so I don’t see how 당신 think it is better that way and personally don’t see how there is a difference.” “There’s a difference” Misa said sulkily “Believe me.” 엘 rolled the pros and cons of Misa’s request around in his mind for a wile, his thumb placed absently in the center of his bottom lip as he thought.
The he spun his chair around so he could grab the Sundae glass off the 책상, 데스크 and began eating again, this time using the dainty 디저트 spoon to get the last of the sweets off the bottom of the glass.
엘 turned to face Misa once more, and said, threw a full 나방, 나 방 full of ice cream “Okay Misa, Mmmmm, 당신 may go out with Light alone for two hours tomorrow only on the condition that 당신 give me a list of exactly where 당신 want to go, what roads 당신 will be taking and what places 당신 will be visiting. Also 당신 must let Matsuda drive 당신 where ever it is your going, this way there will be less cameras for me to install.” 엘 abandoned the spoon for his finger again licking it loudly at which Misa cringed slightly, and said “Ewww, how can 당신 eat sweets at this time of night?” “Mmmmm” he said pulling his finger out of his mouth, “It’s very good, it helps me think, do 당신 want some?” He said holding a finger full of whipped cream at her “Gross!, No thanks!.” “Suit your self” 엘 said eating it himself.
“So, do 당신 agree to the rules, I have given then, Misa?” “Yes of course!, I’ll do anything.”
“Good, then bring me your written schedule 의해 7am.” “Ohhh L, Thank 당신 Sooooo Much!” Misa squeaked then she threw her arms around him and hugged him so tight he thought he might drop his dessert. Misa let go and skipped off to make her plans for her 날짜 with Light.
Wile 엘 turned his attention back to his computer once 더 많이 with a small smile on his pale face.
This case might not be so bad after all.
