She didn't cut it because she was intimidated. She cut it as to sever the only similarity she had with Erza which was the look. At least that's how I remember it to be.

Being intimidated means being frightened. She wasn't frightened 의해 any means.

Um..it said if a character had long hair then they cut it. Not if they had short hair but then got long hair.
