Previously on The Red Revenge...


"Nice to meet 당신 Artemis." Sam said, shaking her hand.

Artemis kissed him on the cheek. "You too." she said. "Thanks for the drink."

"YOU PRACTICALLY WENT ON A 날짜 WITH HIM!!!" Wally yelled.

"That was the mission, Wally." Robin said, smirking. "Jealous?"


"Samuel Grant was saved yet again 의해 Red Revenge and what appears to be Green Arrow's sidekick Artemis."


"We believe the target is Red Revenge. However, the attempts on Grant's life are still a serious threat." 배트맨 said.

A screen popped up behind Batman. "The Olympic Winners are going to a special ceremony. A ceremony hosted 의해 Samuel Grant. The leaders from every country competing and their associates will be there. Not including crowds, media, and others who may attend such as Bruce Wayne. In all, almost two million people. It'll be hosted in Rio De Janeiro. A three 일 festival in the town."

"Wait, Rio De Janeiro?" Artemis asked.

"Yes," 배트맨 replied. "In South America."




Chapter Nine- "The Start of 더 많이 Troubles"


The archer's eye watched every movement carefully. The Olympic finalists were standing behind the curtain, waiting for Samuel Grant to introduce them on the stage.

Sam walked through the curtain and greeted the two million people with a beaming smile.

"Nightwing to all points. Are 당신 in position?"

Artemis set down the binoculars and put a finger up to her radio. "Artemis, in position."

The other points checked in, Wally moaning about not being at the concession stand.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado! The finalists of the Olympic Games!"

One 의해 one, the finalists walked onstage. Artemis recognized a few. The American and Russian were unmistakable. The German walked out slowly on to the stage with a frown dimming his features. 다음 came the Swedish, until finally everyone was on the stage.

Sam turned to the crowd to calm them down. A 옮기기 that saved his life. The bullet missed him and impaled itself in the chest of the Russian finalist. The crowd erupted into full panic. Bodyguards instantly moved in around Sam and the remaining finalists, but the stage was chaos too.

"Artemis! 옮기기 in and protect Grant while we locate the sniper." Nightwing's voice radioed in over her comm.

"Negative." Artemis replied. "I've got the sniper in my sights."

"Batgirl, Wondergirl, get to Grant. Artemis, where is the sniper?"

At that moment, Cheshire landed in front of Artemis, blades pointed at her throat.

"Try my position." Artemis growled.


"Alright everyone, listen up. Artemis and I will take care of the assassins, Robin, 당신 and KF take crowd control. This is essential. Get everyone out as calmly and organized as 당신 can."

The two boys groaned, but acknowledged.

"Wondergirl, Batgirl, protect Grant at all costs."

"Already on it Nightwing!" Wondergirl responded, flying down in front of Grant. She blocked a bullet from 호랑 가시 나무, 홀리 as Batgirl landed on the stage.

"Come on Mr. Grant." Batgirl said, grabbing the boy billionaire and dragging him off the stage.

Wondergirl began backing offstage to follow the female Bat, but at that moment, Artemis landed on her back, Cheshire following.


Batgirl almost ran into a group of security guards.

"Mr. Grant! There 당신 are!" the first guard exclaimed.

"They've got it." Grant said, pulling free of Batgirl's grip. "Thanks though."

Batgirl nodded and left.


"Switch dance partners?" Wondergirl asked, blocking 더 많이 bullets from Holly.

"What is it with 당신 and dancing?" Artemis asked, turning and firing an 애로우 at Holly.

The assassin dodged the arrows, and the two different projectiles thrown 의해 Nightwing and Batgirl respectively. She turned and jumped off the building, tossing her own projectiles at the two apprentices to the Dark Knight, enshrouding them in smoke.

Holly's way down would've been clear, had a certain black and red vigilante not intercepted her in midair, tossing her onto another roof.


The video paused and G. Gordon Godfrey stepped back I front of the screen.

"See? Grant glances up slightly before turning, allowing the bullet to pass 의해 him and kill the Russian finalist. He was obviously receiving help from this so called 'Nightwing' and his 'friends'. They were 더 많이 worried about Grant than stopping an international incident. Now, as I'm sure you've all seen, Russia has declared war on the United States! And this Samuel Grant and Nightwing have the guts to go to Russia to try and stop this war! When will the Justice League stop this insult to our world? When will they put aside their own super egos and actually try to help us!"


"Don't believe it Mr. Grant, it's a load of rubbish."

"I know." Sam said, continuing to watch the channel. He pretended to flinch as the doctor applied a bandage to his head.

"Are 당신 okay, sir?" his butler asked him from the side.

"I could do with some rest." Sam said.

The doctor and the butler nodded, leaving the room. As soon as they were gone, Sam locked the door and opened up a line to the Watchtower.

"Just had to look up, didn't you?" 배트맨 asked as soon as the channel was open.

"I was looking up the entire time. " Sam replied. "This Godfrey dude is annoying as-"

"I know," 배트맨 said. "But as Clark said, he is entitled to his own opinion."

"I'm not disputing that." Sam said. "And that's not why I called. I'm assuming 당신 sent someone after me as I travel to Russia?"

"Beta Squad. Just three 히어로즈 and they'll be undercover until this gets cleared up."

"Any information on the President of Russia?"

"No. Batcave's systems have nothing on him. Neither do the Watchtower's."

"Strange, my system's have nothing on them about any 'Joseph' either." Sam said.

"Well since you're doing the negotiating, 당신 can get us some information." 배트맨 said.

Sam pulled out his Red Revenge suit. "I'm going for a different reason. There is something going on here. Something that shouldn't."

"Just don't drag any of my 히어로즈 into it." 배트맨 said.

Sam smirked. "Would never think of it."

배트맨 frowned and cut the line.



"Artemis, Wally, head home. Barbara, 당신 and Cass are coming with me to Russia."
