Robin groaned at the annoying, persistent knocking that sounded on his door. That could only mean one person; Wally. With another groan, Robin sat up, putting his sunglasses on. He dressed quickly and opened the door. Wally was surprised 의해 the junior Bat-glare he was receiving.
“Rob! You're awake!”
“I am now! What do 당신 want?”
“Wellllll....Iwaslookingthroughthesecuritycameras andIfoundsomeoddconversationandotherthingssoIneed youtocomeandletmeknowifthey'rereal.”
Wally's rapid talking had ended and Robin's fogged up brain was still trying to work through whatever Wally had just poured out.
“...What?!”
“You need to see some of these videos!”
Wally grabbed his best friend and ran off towards the control room. The others were there-minus Becca and Jade. They were looking at the screen, hoping Robin could figure out what was going on.
“Look! See! This is Becca and Jade that first day. They're talking and then someone else appears. And here's Becca on your laptop. I think she's adding someone but I'm not sure. And here's Becca and Jade before they took off. We need your help. We have no idea what they're saying!”
“Did 당신 try turning up the volume?”
The room was silent and Robin rolled his eyes. He accessed the screen with his 장갑 and turned the volume up.
“I'm going back to bed.”
“But don't 당신 want to know what they're saying?” Wally asked.
“...”
“C'mon! Stay?”
“...Fine!”
“Yes!”
Robin went back to the first 'episode' and hit the play button.
“Something's happening, huh?” Becca asked.
Jade shifted uncomfortably. She gave a small nod.
“Is it who I think it is?”
Another nod and Becca froze for a minute. She started pacing around before speaking.
“Patch me through.”
Jade ignited her powers, a misty 원, 동그라미 appearing. A 초 later, a shadowed figure appeared, easily determined as male. And a covered voice spoke, deep and melodious.
“Becca. I was expecting you.”
“Whatever X. What's the first move? And be honest.”
“Take them down of course. Why would 당신 think otherwise?”
“You're a sly devil. That's why.”
“Becca honey. Relax. I've got everything under control. No need to panic.”
Becca glared at the figure, her eyes penetrating through the screen.
“I'll meet 당신 under the moonlight tomorrow night. Okay, darling?”
“Fine. But if you're not there-”
“Becca. I'll be there. If you're there, I'll be there.”
Robin paused the playback, puzzled 의해 the conversation. He skipped ahead to another scene.
“Jade. 당신 aren't the one doing this. I am. How do 당신 think this makes me feel?”
“I know. But 당신 seem so excited. You've done this too long. What if 당신 get caught?”
“Never fear. X has everything planned. I trust that. And 당신 can trust me.”
“...Alright. But if they get hurt...”
“They won't. We just take them down and have X deal with them.”
“But-”
“Don't worry your pretty head about this. Just get me those files.”
“Play the 다음 one,” Wally asked.
Robin went to where Becca had been upgrading the security systems. All seemed normal until she started talking aloud.
“Let's see. Add hero. B0-25 Red X. Hmmm...no voice alerts. No required training. Do not add to superhero roster. No information. No alerts. Allow entrance to all files...Allow access to all computer systems. There. Red X is added.”
Becca sat back, releasing a sigh. She pulled out a com link, not her YJ one. Pressing the button, she spoke into it.
“You're in X.”
“X-cellent Becca. Thank you. I'll leave your pay under the door.”
“I look 앞으로 to it.”
“What is going on?” Artemis asked. “Are Becca and Jade some form of guardians for the Light?”
“No. Becca would never do that!”
“Chill Rob,” Wally said. “She was only asking. Play the last one.”
Robin nodded and zoomed ahead.
“What's the problem, Bec? Is something wrong?”
Becca pulled on Jade's arm, her nails digging into Jade's skin. In a quiet whisper, Becca spoke.
“We're being summoned.”
“Becca...she's...and Jade...”Megan couldn't finish her sentence, but Wally finished it for her.
“They're spies!”
