Blood flooded from her mouth as he held her close. He was willing to be the barrier between the girl and the silver bullets whizzing past them. So far he was doing good, suffering only minor scratches from the brush he was plowing through.

But the girl? She suffered a shot to the shoulder and stomach. The skin was bubbling up like a burn and her coughs were becoming 더 많이 faint as the red liquid, she needed to survive, leaked from her mouth. How the group of smugglers knew of a vampire accompanying him still baffled him, and he felt an ounce of regret for letting her tag along.

He slid behind a 나무, 트리 as the cracking of wood sounded behind him. Swiftly, he maneuvered between the thicket, two angry shout not fading out. Pulling the girl closer, bringing her knees to her chest to make her less vulnerable, as he ducked under a thick branch.

A clearing. He saw a clearing; relief flooded through him as he forced his speed to double, the slight ache from his body was quickly pushed away as adrenaline fueled him; the shouts down to one. The boy grabbed his last throwing 칼, 나이프 turned backward, keeping his quick pace and a firm grip on the girl, and threw it; nailing the last of the hostiles in the forehead. Only sparing a moment to ask internally,"Weren't there two?", before turning forward, dodging a large rock 의해 inches.

Suddenly, he stopped. Then fell. Watching the girl roll a few feet away, her pale figure crumpled into a ball, he let out a groan. "Dammit.." Then and only then, pain. Pain came pumping through him as a warm wetness dripped from a hole in his shoulder. He could taste the salty tang in the back of his throat but no substance came.

Slowly, he began to force himself up only to have a boot push him down, the heel digging into his spine. A thick accent came from the pressure.,"So I see that the rumors are true, yes? That the one called Seeker is a force not to be reckoned with? I once heard that he could take on a group of ten single-handed. I admit it's true, yes? But not when 당신 have a petty friend to slow 당신 down. I got a big bounty for your head. I'll be set for a long time. So you'll be coming with me, and I'd 사랑 to take your little, uhh, nuisance, but, sadly Boss wants 당신 alive, any stragglers were ordered to be eliminated. It was a fun run, though, yes?"

With that another shot went off and a bullet was buried deep within Seeker's other shoulder, shattering his shoulder blade to useless pieces. Pale eyes faced the form he let go, her lonely eye fluttering open a moment, her mouth parting; letting out a soft broken apology. As if it was her fault? As if she had done this. God damn her for being so damn idiotic. Dammit, if he had the strength he would've slugged her, but all he could do was watch helplessly as she was kicked to lay on her back.

Seeker's fingers, belonging to his less damaged arm, dug into the soft dirt as he helplessly tried to crawl toward her. His grunts coming out 더 많이 guilty and ashamed than painful. No, he wouldn't let this happen, not this time.

As the man stood over the shuddering girl he cocked the revolver and chuckled,"I'm sure you're plenty of fun, girly.. eh, but who cares.. all pretty things lose their shine..and you're losing yours tonight." Just as his dark finger was going to pull the trigger he was knocked to the side, a grunt ringing from the force.

The man, now on the ground, looked up. A silhouetted figure, eyes blazing, stood, with sword in hand, before him. Fear struck the grounded man and he scrambled to his feet aiming down the sights of his shaking revolver. Vibrant orbs examined the man and the holder took no time to slam the hilt of the weapon into his shoulder, an awful popping erupting from the collision.

Staggering the, once fearless and arrogant, man snarled,"How...'re 당신 standing.. using your arms." The silhouette only narrowed its blue eyes and lined up its sword, rushing forward. The blade slid through the abdomen of the man, hatred pulsing through the wielder as he burned holes into the man with his eyes. "Ga.. you... devil..!" A thick accent was spit from the mouth of the crook as he raised a,violently, shaky arm. "I m-may die.. but so will you, Seeker..."

The shadow hiked his foot back and kicked the man's knee in, causing a shrill scream and the revolver to collide with the soft, blood stained, grass.

Growling the figure knelt; letting his own deep tone, pound into the mans ears,"I'm not Seeker, nor the Devil... But get it straight 당신 sick bastard... I am something to be feared, a force not to be reckoned with.. and if any other cowardly prick's like you.. touch her 또는 her friends.. They will face a much darker fate than you.. because people like you, don't go to Hell. They go to a place much darker, much 더 많이 painful, and let these words ring clear, as the last pathetic breaths of your worthless life leave your body: I will be seeing 당신 again."

Declan fumbled into the Cave's infirmary, ignoring the throbbing pain in both shoulders. How he managed to make it this far was beyond him. Slowly, he laid his package on one of the cots, quickly injecting himself with a liquid pain-killer, before grabbing the emergency medical supplies. He hooked her up to an IV to get the blood back in her system, and with a careful hand he lifted her 셔츠 to expose her blood covered stomach,"Okay.. don't kill me when 당신 wake up, please." He muttered quietly as he, cut the rotting flesh away , digging in with a small tool, pulling out the silver metal, quickly cleaning her up and wrapping her delicately with white bandages. Declan pulled her wounded arm from the sleeve doing as he did with her stomach wound. Digging the silver bullet out, then dropping it in a small pan, he wrapped the wound carefully, before injecting her with painkillers and resting a 베개 under her head. Tiredly he cleaned his own injuries, then retired to the chair in the corner of the room.

He laughed softly, in spite of the pairs' current state,"I swear, that is the last time, I take 당신 anywhere..."
