“Reyna.”
The voice was soft and pleased, instantly bringing a soft smile to her face. Her hands quickly went into the habit of signing to him.
“Hello Myers.”
She saw a smile light his face and he sat up, moving beside her. His arms pulled her close and she leaned against him, hearing the distinct purr in his voice.

She heard him laugh and he buried his nose into her hair. Her cheeks flamed, but she was smiling. He released her suddenly and moved a little ways away from where she sat. She watched him for a bit before looking out at the ocean. The past was upon her before she could steel herself. Memories ran through her vision since she could remember.
Her father's experiments, her mother's absence. The laughter of her peers rang in her ears and caused her 심장 to ache. Every teasing look, word, and gesture came back to her. She blinked and saw the worried boy standing in front of her. His white-silver hair hung in his worried green eyes as he watched her.

She nodded, catching her breath. Her hands began to 옮기기 in habit.
“Yes Myers. Just reminiscing.”
His head tilted on the new, strange word and she was quick to explain.
“Reminisce. It means to remember things from your past.”
He nodded quickly, all worry gone as he sat beside her.
“Look.”

“It's pretty, huh?”
“Yes, Myers. Very pretty.”
He slipped the 꽃 in her hair with a proud smile.
“A pretty 꽃 for pretty Reyna!”
She smiled at him, her cheeks burning under his praise. And the memories of her past were replaced 의해 the 일 dreams of what it would be like to be beside this deaf, yet talented boy forever.
