Damian's Introduction

From The Arrowette Series Book II:



"That," Stephanie said, running a towel over her damp forehead. "Was a workout."

"So when are 당신 coming to the Manor?" Helena asked.

"Whoah, Whoah, Whoah, Whoah." A new voice said. "Who said--"

"Bruce." Helena responded as Red Robin walked in.

"Bats gave 당신 the clear?" Tim asked. "And here I thought he LIKED me."

"Ah, cheer up Tim." Helena said, patting the Bird on his shoulder. "He let 당신 be Robin with no training. I'm his daughter and I had to wait six months."

Tim smiled, but turned his attention to the zeta-tubes as they warmed up.

"Recognized: Batgirl, 39."

"STEPH!!!" Bart exclaimed, speeding in at super-speed and crushing the female with a hug.

"Get off! Get off!" Batgirl exclaimed, pushing the speedster off and trying to run from the room. Tim caught her hand.

"Slow down." he said with a smile. "What's got 당신 running?"

"The Brat." Steph replied.

Red Robin's face turned deathly grave. "Now? Here?" 

Stephanie nodded as the zeta-tubes warmed up again.

"The brat?" Cissie asked.

"Oh no." Helena muttered, facepalming herself.

"Recognized: Robin: 57."

A shorter, somewhat rounder and less heroic looking boy walked in, dressed in Dick Grayson's original outfit with a yellow cape and hood. He had a smirk on his face and Cissie estimated he was no older than twelve.

"Damian." Tim growled.

"Who?" Suzanne asked.

"My brother." Helena said. "Half."

"Drop something?" Damian asked, smirking and handing Stephanie her cowl.

"You snatched that off my face in an alley! I thought 당신 were a mugger!"

"He would've beat 당신 worse." Damian smirked.

"Hey!" Suzanne called. "What gives 당신 the right to talk to her like that?"

Damian turned. "Ah, 당신 must be the 애로우 shooting fashion nightmare herself."

Red Robin was getting redder and redder with anger 의해 the minute.

"My outfit is perfectly fine!" Suzanne exclaimed, holding up a hand to keep Bart at bay. "I'm at least creative. 당신 스톨, 훔친 an outfit and claimed it as your own." she glared at the boy. "And will 당신 stop looking at my chest?"

"What chest?" Damian asked.

"Why 당신 little--"

Bart had to hold Suzanne back.

Damian moved to walk out, but Stephanie and Tim blocked his path.

"Move blondie." Damian growled.

"Hey!" Tim said. "The Team and my girlfriend are off limits!"

"Sorry, Tim." Damian said. "Forgot 당신 were dating a guy."

Red Robin snapped. He clenched his fist, and punched the new Boy Wonder across the face, right in the jaw. Damian stumbled back and tried to wipe the blood flowing from the wound. He ran at Robin and the two swung, kicked, and tried to inflict bodily harm on the other.

"I--am the son--of the most--powerful man--on Earth." Damin said, swinging Inbetween words. "Do you--really--think--you stand a chance?"

Red Robin pulled out his bow-staff and ejected it into Damian's stomach activating an electrical charge that threw the Boy Wonder back into the 벽 twenty feet away.

"Yeah," Tim said, standing up and grinning. "Cause 당신 didn't train and fight with him for five years."

Damian growled and pulled out a sword, swinging at Tim who barely blocked it with his bow-staff.

"Is that real?" Suzanne asked Helena.

"Yep."

"Is he really trying to kill Tim?"

"Yep."

"Does Tim stand a chance?"

"Nope."

No sooner had the words been uttered than Red Robin fell to the ground and Damian pointed his sword at Tim's throat.

"Take it back." Tim growled.

Damian dug the sword in deeper.

"Enough!" 배트맨 yelled.

Damian looked up. "Father--"

"Go home, Damian. Now. We'll talk about this later." 배트맨 growled.

"You can't make me." Damian said.

"Now." 배트맨 growled again in a much scarier way than Cissie had ever heard.

"Yes, Father." Damian said in submission, and zeta beamed away. 배트맨 held out a hand to Tim, who slapped it away.

"He's not coming back, Bruce. Final. I don't care who he is. The Cave and Titan's Tower are off limits."

"You don't have authority to--"

"He disrespected my Team, insulted my girlfriend, disrespected you, and dishonored the name of Robin! He is not coming back and that is FINAL!!!" Tim said, spit flying into the Dark Knight's face.

"You--"

"You're not my father and never were! I'm not under your rule anymore! 당신 can boss around the Justice League, Gotham, and the rest of your Bats, but not me! And not this Team! They are my jurisdiction!" 

배트맨 remained still as Tim finished his rant.

"Done?" 배트맨 asked.

"Not quite!" Tim said. He ripped off his mask and cape and threw them at Batman. "Take the mask and the costume! I'll get a new one!"

Tim stormed off toward the zeta-tubes, still angry.

"I'll tell Alfred to pack my things and have them sent to the Tower." he added as the zeta-tubes warmed up.

"Recognized: Red Robin, B-22."

"Wow." Suzanne said.

"I better go." Stephanie said, shooting a glare at 배트맨 before throwing her 고깔 달린 겉옷, 물통 at him. "And same for me."
