It was only in the darkest hours of the night that I feel the safest in the city. There are dozens of things that hide among the shadows, where the tendrils of the lights can't reach.
And, much to my advantage, one man's hiding place, is another girl's haven.
Sitting atop the roof of a high-rise, I stare out at the city lights that dot the sky, accompening the moon.
A mere sliver tonight, I note, glancing up at the curved line that glows above the lights. It seems alone, the stars hidden behind clouds. Empty clouds that don't hold any rain, I hope. I don't mind the sprinkle of clear water that wash the streets, but tonight I am enjoying the cool, empty air.
"Where's your mask?" I heard his approach and am therefore not the least bit frightened 의해 the voice that calls me out.
"Right here." I hold up the strip of fabric that serves as my secret keeper when in uniform.
"You should be 더 많이 careful," Alek comes to stand beside me. He leans against the ledge, his back to the view of the lights. "I could have been anybody."
"I knew it was you," I say, taking my eyes away from the sky and to my partner.
"And if 당신 had been wrong?" he asks.
"Then some lucky bastard would have seen the grey eyed kid under the mask," I shake my head. "Alek, I hope 당신 realize it matters little wether someone sees me. There aren't many people who would see me and be capable of putting a name to the face."
He's silent a moment, considering. "I thought 당신 were only this cocky with that mask on."
"The mask doesn't change who I am. It just makes it easier to..." I trail off.
"Easier to what?"
I sigh. "If Blaze didn't advise it, I would never wear this stupid thing."
"Never?"
"Never."
"Why wear it then? Let's face it, Nic's never been the wisest giver of advice."
I laugh despite myself. "True, but he has his reasons."

Hair:
Where i was originally born, i was royalty. Chosen immediately because my hair was white. In my tribe white hair was a rarity. And that child would become the 퀸 또는 king at the earliest time possible. I became 퀸 at the age of eight. I was wiser than i sounded. I was terrifying, yet generous. I helped and protected when ever necessary. But When my indecent occurred, and i was banished i left. And i was replaced 의해 a new queen. A seven 년 old girl with short white hair. At that time i had long white hair.
It was to grow out for however long i was ruling. Now i had to cut. It was custom. Now i cut and left my hair grow out at what ever pace i choose. But as i look at my hair and see it flow, the pain flows too. The past i had. I loved it so. But it was part of my cursed color of hair that i became who i am. but then without it now...who would i be? Would i be here? Would i have the 프렌즈 i do now?

Eyes:
My eyes are cast as a clear Silver. It helps pull the information from my target. And when my eyes glow, it only glows brighter, no need to change color. At one point my eye color showed dominance. Nothing got passed me. I saw it all.
But after i was over throw i was looked down upon. Like i was nothing. I felt hurt. Then my eyes glowed. Like a cursed child, my body levitated from the ground and i gained many gasps. And curses. I destroyed my tribe. The nation i once protected, now needed protection. And worse, from me.
I can never look into a mirror now, those eyes that pierce themselves into my soul. That make me feel my own inflicted pain. I cannot look into someones eyes and hear them say i am beautiful. Because i wont believe it.
