	Mermaid-Tail picked Buffy: Not to be insulting to Twilight fans, but I don't think the two can even be compared. Buffy is good in every way that Twilight fails. It empowers women rather than casting them as desperate obsessive damsels who can't blink without their boyfriends help and approval. Bella is pathetic to the point that I think Stephanie Meyer is irresponsible for having her marketed towards young women. it is beautifully written when Twilight is so bad before I read it I saw a sample online and I genuinely thought it was a parody. Seriously. I'm not just being insulting or sarcastic, I saw the dialogue and I really did think it was someone parodying the book, not the book itself, it was when I read the book I was like 'oh. my. god. that was real' even Stephanie Meyer has said in interviews she isn't a great writer. Buffy has vamps that manage to be cool and tough without being stupidly 'perfect' they have faults and weaknesses which makes them and their mythology much more interesting to me. As for Edward. I can't even explain my disdain for him. So perfect Bella is even in love with his breath. As I've said before, calling a character perfect isn't a compliment, it's an insult to a writer. The mark of a good character is having a mix of good qualities and faults. Strengths and weaknesses.
