I kissed Edward and pulled myself out of his arms to answer the door."Officer Mark." Why was he here? "Is there a problem?" I hadn't done anything to get arrested in a couple months.

"Afternoon, Bella." He nodded. "Is Charlie here?"

"Um, no, he's in Seattle for the night. Maybe I could be of some help?" I opened the door further and stepped aside. "Come on in."

Charlie and Mark worked together before Charlie published his first book. I had known Mark since I was a kid. He nodded in thanks and stepped over the threshold.

"Mr. Cullen. Fancy meeting 당신 here."

"Please call me Edward. Mr. Cullen is my granfather." Edward smiled. "I was just here visiting Bella."

"Ah. I see." Mark turned back to me and grunted.
"Would 당신 happen to know where your friend Paul Makah is?"

"Uh, no, I haven't seen him." I shook my head and crossed my arms. "Why? What happened?"

"He 스톨, 훔친 Anthony Crenshaw's motor cycle. We were hoping he didn't leave town."

"What makes 당신 think he did it?" I asked. "I believe you, I'm just wondering."

"Mr. Crenshaw heard a racket outside his house and when he looked out the window Mr. Makah was driving away on his Harley. He even looked back and smiled at him."

"What an ass." Edward muttered.

I surpressed a smile trying to stay serious. "I'm sorry Mark. I don't have a clue. 당신 might try Jacob Black 또는 Seth Clearwater. I'm not hanging out much with them anymore."

"This wouldn't have anything to do with Edward here would it?" He smiled.

"Some of it yes." I smiles back, blushing a bit. "I'm sorry I couldn't be a help to 당신 Mark."

He held up his hand as he made his way to the door. "Not your fault. And thank 당신 for telling me who else to check."

"Not a problem." I told him as I opened the door. "Call if 당신 figure out anything."

"I will. Thank 당신 Bella. 당신 to have a nice rest of the evening and stay out of trouble."

"Don't worry Officer." Edward walked up behind me. "I was just fixen to put her in her cage for the night." He laughed.

"Bye kids." He halfwaved and drove out of site.

Edward

I was right. I could cook on the grill like mother. I was amazing; not to toot my own horn.

We ate outside around the big granet 표, 테이블 의해 the pool. We were all telling stories that we remembered, causing Emmett to spew 콜라 out of his nose once.

Alice had brough up the idea of swimming so Bella turned on the pool lights that shimmered under the water and made sure he water was heated. Us guys were waiting in the kitchen, all of us lounging around on the counter with our elbows. It felt like we had been doing this for years.

"Finally." Emmett sighed when we heard the girls giggling in the entryway at the bottom of the stairs.

"I don't know about 당신 guys, but I am ready to par-tay!" Rosalie threw up her hands and her towel landed on her head. She was wearing a red one peice. The sides were carved out from her shoulders to her hips on both sides. Her and Emmett ran out the back doors.

Alice was wearing a yellow two peice that was covered in white flowers. Her and Jasper wre right behind Rose and Emmett.

It took me a moment for me to process my thoughts as my eyes landed on Bella. She had her hands on her hips as she smirked at me. She had on a dark blue two peice, that if she moved in the right way, 당신 could see a hint of sliver shimmer. seh walked up to me and put her hand under my chin, closing my mouth. I hadn't know it was hitting the counter.

"I'm going swimming. 당신 can stand here and drool all over the counter if 당신 want." She smiled.

I shook my head and she laughed. She took my hand and pulled me out the back were the others where playing chicken.

"Alice." Rose grunted. "How could 당신 be this strong. 당신 arms are the size of sewing needles."

"I may be little." Alice laughed. "But I can still whoop ass." She said her last word and Rosalie went down, gripping Emmett's hair as she went.

"We win!" Alice looked down at Jasper who was beaming back at her. She patted his head and threw herself backwards.

"I'm never playing against 당신 again." Emmett muttere.

"Sore loser." Bella laughed. "Go on. Get in." She smiled at me.

"After you." I smiled back.

"I insist." She giggled.

"Alright." I walked close to her. "Then I guess we will just have to go together." I wrenched her up and she let out a small scream before we plunged into the water.

I shot up out of the water and hook my head hard, splashing Rose beside me. "Ass." She muttered and smiled.

I only then noticed Bella did't come up. She was still down at the bottom of the pool. "Shit." I grumbled and plunged into the deep end. I grabbed her arm and spun her around only to find her smiling at me. She laughed sending air bubbles to the surface to top. She pulled me in and kissed me and 백조 her way to the surface.

When I came up she was still laughing. She had swam over to where she could touch on her toes. "Bella!" I stood infront of her. "I thought I killed you!"

"I'm sorry." She giggled. She put her arms around my neck and pulled herself to me. "I really am." Her eyes were sparkling under her lashes. She tilted her head up to 키스 me.
Of course. She knew I would forgive her now.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and deepened the kiss. Then, I heard Alice scream.

"Bella! Edward!" She yelled. "My poor virgin eyes! Ah!" We pulled away laughing.

"Damn. Ya'll were getting a little freaky." Emmett laughed.

"Were not." Bella rolled her eyes. "Not infront of Alice's virgin eyes. No telling what that would do to her."

"Scar me!" Alice smiled.

A deep, distent thunder rolled though the sky, and the flood gates opened without a warning sprinkle.

Alice squealed and as she turned to get out ofthe water she ran right into Jasper's chest. She looked up at him and smiled slightly 'Sorry.' I could see it in her crinkled eyes.

He only stared at her, never moving. He slowly put his hand onthe side on her face and leaned down carefully.

Alice pov

His hand was warm as it carressed my cheek. He leaned down slowly and I could see the pouring rain drops on his eyelashes. Jasper Whitlock was going to 키스 me. My crush since we all became 프렌즈 in first grade.

His lips finally touched mine carefully, almost not touching. My stomach flipped and my cheek tingled where his hand was, my lips felt like they had been touched 의해 a painless tazer.

He pulled back and smiled at me and I smild back. I looked around surprised there wasn't any noise but the sheeting rain on the pools surface. We were the only two out here. They had all went back inside and let Jasper and I have our own little moment.

"Come on." He climbed up the side of the pool. He held his hand down to me and smiled. "You're going to get sick."

I smiled back and took his hand. He pulled me out of the water with ease and wrapped a towel around me once we were under the awning. He kissed me once more, this time with a little 더 많이 pressure, and opened the door letting the cold air inside sweep out.
