*Edward’s pov*

I heard a knock from the door.
“Can I come in?” Alice asked.
I took a deep breath.
“Sure. “ I said.
Alice opened the door. Her face was expressionless. She sat beside me.
“How are you?” she asked.
“Not so good, “I whispered.
“I’m sorry.” She said, sadly.
“I told you, 당신 don’t have to blame yourself. It’s not your fault.” I told her.
“It’s not yours, either.” She said
“Yes. it is.” I muttered.
“So are 당신 going to tell me what happened? 또는 I’m going to guess?” she asked.
“Do 당신 know Ashley Walker?” I asked her.
“Nope.”
“Well, she’s my high school best friend when I was still human at Chicago.” I started.
“And?” she asked.
“She was also a victim of the disease. I thought she died first because she didn’t show up since Carlisle changed me. I wanted to find her but I was told 의해 her mother that she had died.” I said.
“So,” Alice waited.
“I saw her. She’s alive. She told me that she was also bitten 의해 a vampire. At first, I didn’t believe her until she showed me the scar. Ashley’s parents were my father’s best friend. She touched my shoulder, comforting.
“Thanks so much Alice.” I told her.
She went out the room and leaved me alone so I can rest.
I looked back at the places where Bella usually stay. I’ve decided to went downstairs to the living room because I want to seek some advices from Esme.
Everyone was looking at me.
All of a sudden, Carlisle’s phone buzzed.
“Hello?” he asked.
We waited and then he shouted.
“What?! Okay, were coming. Thank you.” He said as he ended the call...
“What happened, Carlisle?” I asked.
He looked at me.
‘Jacob called me, Bella had just fainted.’ He thought.
“What?! How could that be?” I asked.
‘I don’t know either, let’s go.’ He thought as he went out the door.
I was about to follow him but then Alice spoke.
“I’ll come with you.” She said.
I nodded.
“How about us?” Emmett asked, he’s thinking of a fight.
“Don’t worry Emmett; it’s not about a war.” I said as I went outside.
I drove quickly. We reached Charlie’s house immediately.
We entered Bella’s room. I saw her on the 침대 with Jacob sitting beside her.
“Bella?” I asked as I shook her slowly. I sat at her side.
“What happened to her?” Alice asked.
“I don’t know. She called my name and when I looked back at her, she fainted.” Jacob said worriedly.
“How could that be Carlisle? 뱀파이어 don’t faint and they don’t even felt dizzy.” Alice said.
“Well I guess, it’s not about her Vampiric nature.” Carlisle said.
“What do 당신 mean? I asked.
“We all know that she’s physically strong. Even stronger than Emmett. But 뱀파이어 do have their weaknesses, Edward. Like me, my weakness was Esme, Alice’s weakness was Jasper, Rosalie’s weakness was Emmett and Bella’s weakness was… you. Yes, she is physically strong, but she’s emotionally weak. Do 당신 remember when 당신 thought that she’s dead? 당신 went to Italy to provoke the Volturi to kill 당신 without even having a 초 thought. You’re out of your mind. All 당신 wanted was to be with her and to make her happy because your weakness was Bella. It’s the same thing. When she thought that 당신 don’t 사랑 her anymore, it broke her 심장 so much. Because she thought that it will make 당신 feel happier to be with that girl, whoever she is, though it really hurt her so much.” Carlisle explained.
I stared at Bella’s face.
Jacob suddenly spoke.
“How can 당신 do that to her?” he asked me.
I didn’t respond.
“I thought 당신 사랑 her.” He said.
“I do.” I told him.
“But why?” he asked.
“I don’t know. I really don’t want to do this to her.” I said as I took a deep breath.
“But – “Jacob was about to speak when Alice cut him off.
“Enough. Edward, I think 당신 better go out. She’ll be awake in less than 5 minutes. She doesn’t want to see you.” She said sadly.
I kissed Bella’s forehead. And I walked away. I stopped at the door and looked back to her. I sighed and continued to walk.
“I wanted to talk to her, alone. please.” Alice told Jacob.
“Sure” he said as he went out with Carlisle.
