That night, I went out into the forest alone. Gwen had been voted off, and Dani wasn't very happy, so I left her be. I walked deep into the thick 나무, 트리 gathering and stopped at the famous oasis where I found my magic stone. I knelt doen at the edge of the clear water, looking at my reflection shimmering upon the moonlit surface.

I sighed, instead of crying, when I really should have cried. I 로스트 the tiki.

But I wasn't sad. As a level 3 mage, I'm a worldwalker, so I can travel between worlds. That's how I met Emily, Adriane and Kara. Dani is a level three mage, but she doesn't know about worldwalking. She's 더 많이 of a battle-type mage than I am a spirit-mage, which means I can see and sense spirits. It's very confusing to explain how magic works, but magic does what it wants.

And plus, I didn't need the tiki to turn Dani back. I could use the tiki, which I lost, 또는 I could use a bloodcrystal from the Dark Sorceress, which is far 더 많이 challenging to obtain, but I'd do ANYTHING to have my boyfriend back.

Nightfall soon came, and darkness fell over the forest. I sighed and felt a heavy gloom on my shoulders. I needed that crystal 의해 midnight tomorrow 또는 I'd lose Duncan forever.

I held my hand over the skim of the oasis water, and breathed carefully. The water started to ripple, and a small figure formed above the water-a girl, entirely made of blue liquid.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Look, I need to speak to the mages of Avalon." I said.

"Ah, yes, and who might 당신 be?" her soft little voice peaked slightly.

"I'm Adriane's cousin, can 당신 please connect me with them?"

"Right away," she said, then her figure shook in and out of visibility, like a hologram, but I knew she wasn't.

Then her figure came back to normal and she waved at me, then diappeared. Instantly, a large spinning portal formed in front of me. I stared at it and attempted to stare into it, but saw nothing but purple spinning light. I stood up to walk into it, when I felt a tug on my shoulder.

"Hey!" Dani said, brushing back her long ponytail. "Where 당신 going?"

Was I supposed to tell her? I guess I could trust her with magic. "I'm going to turn 당신 back."

"Sweet! Can I come?"

"I can't turn the spell back without the real copy." I smiled at her.

She giggled and snorted once then held my hand. "Ready?"

I sighed. "No, but...let's go."

Then, we both stepped through the bending portal, which fell apart as soon as we entered.

About five 분 later, we were laying on lush green 잔디 from a pasture. The portal had dumped us out from the sky adn now we were paying for it.

"You ok?" Dani coughed.

"Yea. Oh, 의해 the way," I helped us stand up. "If I say hi to anybody 당신 don't know, ask me about them first then introduce yourself if I say it's ok."

"Ok." Dani shrugged, then started hiking down the meadow. I followed right behind, looking down at the grass, and heard a short scream. I looked around.

"Duncan?" I said. No answer and no sign of Dani. "Hello?" I started walking anyway and fell, thousands of feet, down a dark emptiness, like a black hole.
