Sofie's POV
"So, what's wrong with your freaky cousin again?"
"There's nothing wrong with her! She has a disease... can't 당신 be a little 더 많이 sympathetic?" I punched Duncan in the arm, and not playfully either.
"Why are 당신 taking me to her house?" Duncan asked. I looked up at outside of the small white house with chipped paint cracking up the walls.
"...Because she sees no one..." I said, but it came out like a whisper. I walked up on the door step and knocked.
"Sakura!...Sakura Viollume!"
"...Yes?" Said a soft voice.
"Are 당신 in another room, sweetie?"
"...I am now!" I opened the door and pulled Duncan inside, quickly shutting in and locking it with a pair of dangling keys.
"THE LIGHT!!" I heard her scream ear piercingly.

Duncan's POV
I heard small voices behind the door, and suddenly I was pulled inside a ragged looking white house.
"THE LIGHT!! HELP ME!!" A little girl's scream was heard in another room.
"Sakura!" Sofie shouted and dashed toward her. I ran after them, and we found a little girl screaming on the couch. Sofie picked her up and hugged her.
"Sakura, please, it's fine. Everything is Ok," She cooed. 'Sakura' sniffed and put her feet on the ground again.
"It was so bright, and coming from the kitchen!" She yelled wiping small tears from her eyes.
"Honey, that was only us coming through the door. It didn't get you, don't worry..." Sofie stroked the bleached hair of this small girl. I guessed she was about 13, but she looked about 8. Suddenly Sakura's light blue eyes met mine and she ran up and hugged me.
"Save me from the light..." She whimpered.

Sofie's POV
Duncan soon began asking questions. I had to explain that Sakura has a fatal disease called, "X.P." and needed to stay in this house all the time. X.P. is a sickness in which rashes, burns, and boils appear on the skin when exposed to sunlight. If leaved in the sun, it would only take 분 for Sakura to burn and die.
There was much 더 많이 to this disease, but we had killed about 10 분 explaining.
"Sakura, can I get 당신 something?"
"...Water..." She squeaked and I walked to the kitchen. Duncan came in after me, and we talked.
"But... I don't understand, how did Sakura get that disease?"
"No one knows... she just had it one day..."
Another ear bleeding scream rang out through the house. Our 본즈 froze, and the yell rung in and out of our head as if no other sounds could be heard other than the loud shout. Duncan and I pumped our legs as fast as we could into the living room as the screaming continued. Sakura was on the floor in a ball with her face in her knees. I put my whole body around her and gave her a hug. She looked at me, and lifted an uneasy hand to the opposite direction. I turned my head to find something that filled my eyes with horror.
All the curtains has been ripped off the walls. Beams and blankets of sunlight poured into the room, hitting Sakura's body that wasn't covered 의해 mine.
"LIGHT!!" She shrieked and ran away. I gasped and began grabbing huge things with the help of Duncan, trying to cover the windows. There were still small beams of light coming in, but I doubt they would hurt Sakura. I came into her room, where she sat on her 침대 shivering.
She began to tell us these insane stories about how she has seen who had taken the curtains.
"It was Victor!" She said pointing to the attic across the hall and staircase.
"Your an only child, Sakura. 당신 don't have a brother named Victor." I told her stroking her hair again.
"He's not my brother! He's a... boy, I think, and he took the curtains away and told me to leave the house now!"
"Sakura, thats enough." I raised my voice. "There is no one in this house but you, me, and Duncan until your Mothing gets back. Understand?" Sakura nodded and I began to walks down the stairs.
"Stay in this room until I find the curtains." I toom another step down.
"But... it was Victor." Sakura pointed again to the attic, as the door slammed shut.
