Gale is way better!

They went through a heck of a lot together and I especially thought it was so sweet how he gave her the bread when they were younger and looked out for her throughout the whole thing. It is a hard choice though

Gale is nice, I think he should get together with the girl who gave a pin to Katniss. But Katniss and Peeta are better together.

Gale is cool and all and at first i thought katniss would fall in love with him or something, then the whole thing with peeta came along and i was like it has to be them. plus at the end peeta was so heartbroken and it was soo sad. ):

I really think that Gale is really cool. I dunno... I just don't think that Katniss and Peeta would last very long together. Maybe I'm wrong. That's just my opinion.

She and Peeta would be the cutest couple. She and Gale have more of a brother and sister relationship. If she doesn't choose Peeta I would feel soooooooo bad for him. I already did by the end of this book. It must be so hard realizing that the i love yous and kisses were all pretend when he was showing his real feelings.

I think that Gale and Katniss should stay friends because that's how she has always thought of him, even though I kind of think that he love her. But I think that Katniss and Peeta should be together, because he had done so much for her already, and he loves her! And I felt so bad for Peeta at the end. I mean she was just pretending to love him when he was showing her what he really felt.

Gale and Katniss went through so much more together than Peeta and her did, you know I mean they provided for there families for like 4-5 years just together, and she didn't even know Peeta until she met him at the Hunger Games, and she though that all that stuff between them was fake for must of the book and even though she says she isn't romanticly involved with Gale. She does stop doing some things with Peeta because she feels uncomfrtable with gale seeing that so that just leeds me to think that she subcontionsly likes him

I am always having an internal debate with myself sometimes it is Gale others Peeta. It doesn't help to be in a debate about who it should be because I read a Peeta supporter who makes good pointes and I'm like go Peeta then I read a good reason to pick Gale and I'm like oh it has to be Gale... I can't decide!!!

Peeta..wow sounds like an amazing boy. But his feelings were hurt from the star-crossed lover stunt haymitch put katniss up to. But i felt sooo bad when peeta realized the truth about katniss, but i think peeta will forgive katniss no matter what. This is just my opinion of the book. Feel free to disagree with me. But then Gale and katniss never did have anything romantic between them, so she might just choose peeta over gale. But then Peeta showed his real feelings for katniss during the games while she pretended. That part made me so mad >.<''. Just put yourself in peeta's shoes...you would probably hate katniss for a second but then forgive her, then hate haymitch for the problem. Put yourself in kat's shoes and you get confused. Well the given details in the book tell me that kat will fall for peeta, but i need to read the rest of the series to confirm my decision. I love peeta's character!!!!

I really REALLY don't like peeta. And though we haven't seen very much of gale what we do see of him it is obvious that he really truly cares for katniss and prim too. And all katniss feels for peeta is debt and gratitude.

Gale seems really nice and he cares a lot for Katniss but come on Peeta liked her for the longest time ahh I can't decide maybe after the second book I will be able to decide.

Gale is less obvious and more interesting. Obviously, I'm a cruel reader who cares more about how interesting it would be to read about the relationship then how happy the characters will be, but oh well.

Gale..yeah. He seems like the kind of guy for Katniss. Peeta is kinda a weekling..and I am tired of people saying Peeta cos you know more about him...that is not the point. Fire-ice, there's no need to shout. The POINT of this is for people to show different opinions. We have no evidence that they are completely different people, in fact they seem to have far more in common then Katniss and Peeta. The story is not all about Peeta, it's about KATNISS. It's pretty clear she considers the love thing an act. As for age, Peeta's a year younger, Gale is 2 years older. Either way the age difference is small. We would not all be wrong, nearly half of us say Gale. Please calm down and let other people have opinions too.
On another note, why is everyone blaming Haymitch? In case you've forgotten, what Haymitch did kept them both ALIVE. "Poor Peeta, he got his heart broken", yeah right! Without Haymitch, Peeta would be dead.

Gale, definitely. He and Katniss have been best friends for years, they know each other better than anyone, and they're always there for one another. Peeta is a clueless, lovesick dude who can't stand up for himself. Katniss and Peeta's romance is so contrived; Gale and Katniss are so natural with one another, and their love isn't blind and immature.

gale is pointless, he was just a hunting partner, but she doesnt need one anymore now that she won the games, and peeta was so awesome in the games, haha i know who i would pick!!!

Read Catching Fire people, Gale is obviously more than a hunting partner. He's the one person Katniss fully trusts and can rely on.

Peeta and Katniss are meant to be together!! you cannot deny that Katniss has grown more fondness for Peeta especially when she's having those nightmares. Katniss can't simply live without him.

I love them both, and both are good for Katniss! Peeta is so sweet and caring and would die for her, and they've been through so much! But then, Gale is … what is he…? awesome! he's fighting the Capitol, he's a rebel! and he's loved her from the beginning! When they were saying goodbye before Katniss leaves for the Capitol for the Games, he's pulled out of the room before he can tell her he loves her!!!

Gale has done soooo much for katniss. Without him, katniss wouldn't have made it through. She barely knew Peeta existed until the games and Peeta practically threw himself at her. Gale is so much better for her.

It says that Gale just had a fire that katniss already had and she didn't need anymore of that. She said she needed a dandelion,a sign of hope. So,yeah. Peeta.

I really loved Gale before Mockingjay, but then he started to sound too much like Coin and I couldn't feel attracted to him anymore, specially because of how Peeta acted in Catching Fire, he was really amazing.

deffinently peeta. she likes him and peeta likes her. katniss doesnt need another person as... fierce as her. she is so.. strong.. independent, and the last thing she needs is someone just like her.. but worse. what she needs is an upbeat, strong, positive, caring, bright, kind (i could literally go on forever) guy, who well help her through nightmares and hard times, and be there for her. he would instantly die for her and he told everyone that he loved her and has since he was like five. plus he saved her from hunger, and what can gale do? kiss girls behind her back?

I Love Gale So Nice SPOILER ALERT since Peeta Tries To Kill Her B/c He loses her memory of the hunger games and the good times with her i want her to be with gale he been her BFF since she was 12 :D

I flip-flopped through the first two books, but after seeing the Gale acted in Mockingjay, I definitely became Team Peeta! Gale and Katniss were too much alike. They both had quick tempers and Katniss needed Peeta's sensitivity and rationale. He could always calm her down and he was always patient with her, even when she didn't deserve it. That was how I knew that he loved her more that Gale did. If she had never gone through the Games, I think she and Gale might have worked, but he couldn't understand her the way that Peeta could after everything that they went through. Gale was in love with the old Katniss, but didn't always like the new Katniss. Peeta loved and accepted her before and after.

peeta is such an amazingly sweet character who cares about everything katniss! he'd choose her over painting and baking and he'd do anything to please her, gale is all about himself and hunting. he's jealous and makes rash decisions and doesn't think about the consequences(like blowing up the nut in district 2)so peeta is a better match for katniss:)

After all Katniss went through with Peeta in the Games and such, it would be nice if it meant something. Peeta has always loved her. I tink Katniss and Gale could settle with friendship and be happy jsut like old times.
