Sonic!" I shouted, shivering. One of my bangs smacked me in the eye, startling me enough so that I yelped. I fixed my headband, shoving the three quills back. I looked around me, squinting, trying to see anything through the sheet of rain that was coming down. The force of the wind made walking an effort and not being able to see had caused me to trip several times. My gloves and hands were cut, knees scraped. “Damn this winter coldness.” I hissed while trying to regain my strength to stand up.
Looking around, I wondered just how the hell did I get into this mess? One 분 I had been chasing Sonic and the next… This. I rubbed my arms to help warm myself up, but it stung my hands. Wrapping my arms around myself, I started walking again. "Sonic!" I shouted again. I than fell head first on some snow pile. I just wanted to die if I knew that sonic wasn’t coming to save me this time. My 심장 turned inside the 더 많이 I thought about Sonic. “Were is he? My hero?” I whispered to my self while closing my eyes.
I glanced up, trying to see if there was any sign of blue sky. Cold water hit my eyes though, making me blink rapidly and look down once again For once I started to get up thinking about my survival. But I did not know. I could not hear anything except the rain pounding against the street, the wind whistling all around me. All I could see was that rain and a deep blackness that made me colder than the precipitation itself.
I took another step, right into a puddle. With a short screech, I slipped and landed on my butt, right into that puddle. Rain pelted my face, soaked my 모피 and skin even more.
Crying now, I slowly stood. My dress was plastered to my body even worse than it had been a few 초 ago. I was so uncomfortable… I could not take much 더 많이 of this anymore.
I took a deep, deep breath to prepare myself. "SSSOOONNNNIIICC!" I screamed.
I stood where I was for a few minutes, listening closely for any sign of him. At this point I would have settled for even Eggman to come around. But there was nothing.
Hugging myself tightly, I began to trudge along, watching closely for any sign of 더 많이 puddles. I doubted I could get any wetter, but I certainly did not want to fall again.
Mustering up some of my usual cheer, I lifted my head. "Somebody has to come along sometime, right?" I asked the rain. "Of course.” Meanwhile… (Third Person POV/Moonlight)
"It's raining pretty hard, eh Sonic?” Moonlight chuckled while scanning through the menu.
"Yeah, it sure is." With a hard shake that sent water flying everywhere in the small diner, the hedgehog laughed. "I'm glad for it though. It got Amy off my tail real quick." He swung up onto a bar stool, grinning. "Just warm me up some of that coffee, would ya?"He asked the waitress
“Damn pinkie is still chasing you? Isnt that annoying at all? Having some 팬 girl chase you?”
"Keh. Isn't it always?" He eyed the pie that was placed up neatly nearby. Following the hedgehog's gaze, the gray 늑대 smirked. "Hmmm is she oK. mean its pretty bad out their.?” he replied while sipping his hot chocolate.
When a sudden gust of wind rattled the 식당 windows, Switch looked up. "Huh…?” Sonic replied back while looking out the window. With a glance out a window, Sonic shrugged. "Of course she did. Besides, she's always got an umbrella with her if she didn’t, maybe I should? Uggg why am I even bothering. 당신 know Amy? Amy can beat almost anything. Shes impossible to defeat.."
"If 당신 say so, pal."
Neither if them noticed a cloaked figure toss some bills on his 표, 테이블 and walk out.
Meanwhile… (Amy's POV)
I landed in yet another puddle. I stood up shakily with three rapid sneezes. Even if my umbrella had not blown away, I would still probably be soaked, I decided. After a few steps, I smacked into what I figured was a pole and hit the ground.”Sonic?”I muttered while whipping my numb face. “Soo cold…” I whispered while shaking on the snowy water.
With a miserable sob, I drew my knees up and laid my head on them. But I made myself stand up soon enough. Using the pole for support, I pulled myself to my feet.
I was exhausted after fighting the wind for so long. I did not think it had been 더 많이 than thirty minutes.
In mid-sigh, I stumbled and landed hard, barely having time to put my hands out to soften the fall. My legs were slightly elevated, so I figured I had stepped off a curb without realizing it. I looked back and could not even see my feet.
I stood up again. I promised myself that the 다음 time I fell, I would stay there until someone came to get me. I started walking again, not stepping back up onto the sidewalk. I did not want to chance falling off again. I figured it was 안전한, 안전 enough. After all, I had not seen a car come down this road well before I had even seen Sonic.
A bright light appeared before me out of nowhere. I scrambled back, tripping over the curb in my haste. I than grabbed the pole for support until the light passed 의해 me. As I had promised myself, I was going to stay there. I was too tired to make myself move.
The light disappeared, breaking my heart. Couldn't whoever had nearly hit me realize that I was in trouble and help me?
In the back of my mind, I heard a curse. At least I thought it was in my mind. I couldn't tell anymore…
Something dropped on 상단, 맨 위로 of me and I jumped a little. It was warm though; I drew it tightly around me. Hands on my waist jerked me up, making me flinch with surprise. My eyes widened when they met furious red ones.
Without a word, he bundled me tightly into the warm thing he had dropped on me. He lifted me and got on a motorcycle, setting me in front of him. He took hold of the handlebars, twisted one, pressed onto the gas pedal, and the motor roared to life. I gripped the 좌석 as tightly as possible when we jerked forward.
The wind lashed at me as we went, making me squeeze my eyes shut. When the bike jerked to a halt, I nearly flew off, but an arm came around me, keeping me in place.
Still without a word, he picked me up and darted through the darkness and the rain. We were in a doorway before I could even open my eyes all the way. Setting me on my feet, he twisted the door handle, and shoved the door open, pushing me inside.
He walked in after me and shut the door. "Stay there," he commanded.
I only nodded, shivering. So many 질문 were running through my mind and I had no idea how to voice them just yet. Why had Shadow saved me, where was he going, and, most importantly, where was I?
The light bothered my eyes a little, but I wanted to look around. In front of me was a staircase. At my right was a nearly bare living room. There was a single chair and a small side 표, 테이블 다음 to it that faced a fireplace. There was wood laid in it, ready to be lit. Shivering, I drew the 망토, 망 토 tighter around me, wishing it were lit. To forget the cold, I looked to the left, where Shadow had gone, and saw a long hallway. Vaguely, I wondered where it led. Maybe I would ask Shadow when he came back…
That’s when he did come back. With a blink, I looked away and snorted. Why did he save me? As the words pounded against my scull I didn’t even bother looking at him. “So the misunderstanding Rose needed my help once again.” He taunted while walking toward the fireplace.
He knelt in front of the fireplace and lit it. I stepped away from him not understanding his gesture of kindness. He flicked his eyes over to me. "Come here, Amy.” He growled.
I came closer timidly as he pushed the chair closer to the fire. When I was close enough he took away the cloak, and practically shoved me into the chair. "I'll get 당신 something dry to wear," he muttered and strode from the room.
I relaxed in the chair not caring about living anymore since sonic never came to my rescue that day. It just hurted me so badley enough to make me cry. I set my feet closer to the fire, letting it warm them.. My body and hands were still freezing though, so I slid my gloves off and leaned 앞으로 to warm my hands.
I still felt rather cold after that, so I shifted, about to remove my dress as well. With a blush, I recalled where I was and left it alone.
"Amy?" I looked up at Shadow and he handed me a large black shirt. "That's all I have. Normally, I would go to your home, but I'd much rather not go out in this weather again."
I nodded like again not caring about what anyone thinks. " Thank you, I muttered while looking at the flames of the fire. My teeth were still chattering. Plus he was studying me closely, that furious look dancing in his eyes again. Annoyed 의해 this I dared not to speak.
He shook his head quickly, as if catching himself. " I'll be back in a few minutes. Just quickly change in here."
I nodded again, watching him until he disappeared down the hallway again. My fingers fumbled, but I managed to get the dress up and over my head. After a short debate, I opted to leave my bra and panties on. Once the over-sized black 셔츠 was on and placed as low as it stretched, I scooted 앞으로 in the chair and leaned forward. The heat filled me, leaving me feeling tired and lazy.
Because I was listening for him, I heard Shadow step into the room. I smirked grumpily at him. "Thank 당신 for helping me, Shadow.” I responded back while trying to be a polite guest of his home.
He nodded in acknowledgement of my gratitude. "I see you're feeling better." He walked over to me, holding two mugs. "Here."
I took one gratefully. Still nothing to snap back. I leaned 앞으로 the mug sniffing it slowly. Mmm hot choclate..Just what I needed to cheer up my mood from this disastrous day. Beaming, I looked up at him. "Hot chocolate?" I asked, taken aback.
"I didn't take 당신 for the coffee type," he replied, sipping from his own mug.
I am too a coffee type! I nearly hissed back but I didn’t want him to kick me out into the rain again so I just continued to sip my chocolate. I took another sip, taking 더 많이 care this time. I held the mug with both hands, letting the warmth seep into them. I was still a bit cold.
He was staring at me again, I noted. And glared back.
He scowled. "Nothing."
I rested my mug down on the floor. "I don't believe this.” I snapped back is he upset that he had to save me?
His eyes flashed as he walked away. “Dumbass.”He muttered while walking toward the kitchen.
I snorted again while, looking into the flames. They seemed safer than his eyes at the moment. He sighed, but I didn't look back. I wrapped my hands around the mug again and tucked my feet under myself.
"I'm angry at that blue baboon, if 당신 have to know!” He growled back while walking back into the room.
Now I did look at him. "Sonic? Why?"
"I was at that 식당 on Third when Sonic came in, relieved that the storm had stopped 당신 from chasing him. He didn't know if you'd gotten out of the rain, and didn't seem to really care."
"Oh…” I suddenly felt cold all over again, and the 불, 화재 in front of me did nothing to help.
"I was on my way to your house to make sure you'd gotten 집 safely when I heard 당신 scream. I barely saw 당신 in the rain, even with my headlight."
I waited for his apology for nearly running me over, but I suppose he did not feel one was necessary. I frowned at the fireplace keeping me warm. Than I started to sneeze.
He was obviously confused. "I beg your pardon?” He responded back.
"Whatever for…" I sneezed again while covering up my mouth…I looked back up at him. "Why were 당신 coming to check on me?” I finally answered back.
His eyes went carefully blank. He than walked over toward me to check my temperature. That response was just a little too harsh and his eyes just a tad too blank for me to believe him. “You’re getting sick.”He responded back while handing me a white blanket. He narrowed those eyes on me. "I won't be anyone's rebound," he muttered, turning away.
"What do 당신 mean?" I asked while cuddling closer to the blanket
He glanced back briefly. "You can stay here until the storm subsides and when your clothes dry. 당신 may want to lay them out flat so they do so quicker. I imagine you'll be 더 많이 comfortable in your own clothes."
I would've responded, but his words seemed very final to me. It did not seem as if I even could respond…
I got up shortly after he'd left to lay my dress out flat. The gloves it didn't really matter to me if they dried fast 또는 not.
Soon… (Shadow's POV)
I walked up the stairs, annoyed with her. And with myself. I had been so tempted 의해 what she had unconsciously offered. I planted my fist into the 벽 as I went up, getting 더 많이 annoyed with myself when a crack ran up the side. "Damn it," I muttered. "Now I'm goanna have to fix that…"
But at least it would keep my mind off her… Stupid Sonic… If the idiot had not been so damn bothered 의해 the fact that Amy cared about him, he could have gotten her to a dry place when the storm had hit.
Then I would not have had to do so. It was much easier to resist her when she was mooning over Sonic than when she was in my house…in my shirt. I hunched my shoulders, forcing her image from my mind.
I went into my bathroom and dug under the sink for some plaster materials to fix the damn crack in my wall. When I had what I needed, I walked partly down the stairs to fix it, blocking all thoughts of…her.
But I could not quite do that. With a sigh, I sat on a step. It made me 더 많이 comfortable to think of Maria than of Amy, which was a shame. I saw Amy quite a bit more, and the girl pushed her way into the forefront of my mind almost constantly.
With a low growl at my mental weakness, I stood and was startled to see her right 다음 to me. She took a step back, apparently jolted 의해 something, and nearly tumbled over the railing. I snagged her wrist before she could, but her headband fell, went unnoticed. Worry hardened my voice. "What the hell is wrong with you? Are 당신 a magnet for trouble?" I demanded.
"No, I just…" She looked down at her shoes. Still no responses after that.” Sorry.” She finally answered back while looking away.
She was not looking at me, so I scanned over her, checking for any injuries I may have missed before. "You've scraped your knees."
"That was from earlier.” Amy whinnied while scanning her knees as well.
I raised a brow. Did she think I was too stupid to know that already? I certainly had not done it and I did not see where she could have done so in the house. She blushed a bit, noticing her mistake I suppose.
She lifted a hand. "Nothing too serious."
I noticed the scratch on her hand. "All these cuts could get infected," I murmured, lifting her hand and examine it.
I dropped her hand. "Come with me." I turned and started up the stairs, leaving the other things where they were. I would get to the 벽 eventually.
(Amy's POV)
Before I followed Shadow, I looked at my hand. I rubbed the cut with my index finger. Messing with the dried up blood on it. I started after him. I winced a bit with each stair, my knees stinging still from the stairs. Another sneeze appeared from my mouth. Shadow stopped walking and looked down the hall for his bedroom. After a few steps, I heard a sigh and felt arms around me. "Why did 당신 come up here if the stairs hurt your knees?"
"What?” He demanded back while gripping my arm tightly.
Confused, I looked into his eyes. "What's what?” I randomly outburst while being surrounded 의해 fear.
He rolled his eyes and dragged he 의해 my arm toward a dark room. My eyes went blank. "That's my bedroom. Just wait in there.” Shadow ordered while walking back downstairs.
I nodded and started towards it. I was kind of curious to see what his room looked like. Mine was filled with pictures of all my 프렌즈 and just about everything we have done together. The 침대 was huge, covered with blue sheets and tons of white plump pillows. I doubted his room was anything like that, but Shadow was a strange guy. I was not quite sure what to expect.
I heard a muttered behind me. With my hand on the doorknob, I turned, curious. "Shadow?"
Something flashed in his eyes, but I was too far to really see what. He shook his head. "Nothing. I'll be in there in a minute."
I nodded, back. I opened the door and walked in, closing it behind me. I blinked. Why's it so damn dark in here? I wondered.
"Oh!" With a soft moan, I patted the wall, searching for a light switch. *Switch* the sound of a flickered light switch always made me feel 랜덤 inside. With the lights on, I looked around inquisitively. There was a chair in here that seemed to match the big one in the living room. It was set in front of the fireplace, also like in the living room. My smile widened. Shadow liked his comfort just like everyone else on Mobius.
There were a few pictures on the 벽 and on his dresser. Walking over to that, I lifted the one in the center. It was him, and me I noted. I had one arm slung around him and was pointing out something with my other hand. The stars, I recalled. I had had everyone over at my house about a 월 before for a barbecue for the comets. It had been beautiful and since Sonic hadn't waited around for the night show, and Shadow had seemed 더 많이 sad and lonely than usual, I had stuck to him.
Running my thumb lightly over his face, I realized that the soft smile he wore was not aimed at the comets…but at me. With a puzzled frown, I set the 사진 back in its spot.
I turned, the 침대 making me gasp a little. It was twice as large as my 퀸 size at home, black as sin, with a darkened headboard with a strange curvy pattern cut into it. Fascinated, I got on the 침대 and lye their. So soft. How can he afford this? This really amazed me enough to not even care about my scrapped knee anymore.
Meanwhile… (Shadow's POV)
I growled at myself, searching under the sink for some things to help Amy with her cuts. How stupid could I have been? What was I thinking, just letting her into my room like that? When she had turned and looked at me, my gut had twisted into nasty little knots. I paused, pressing a hand to my forehead to settle myself. "God damn it," I mumbled. Now she was in my bedroom and, knowing her curious nature, she would probably go through all of my things. 또는 maybe her manners would keep her from doing that…
I sighed, standing up to go through the small medicine cabinet that was hidden behind the mirror. I scowled when I saw my mini first aid kit. Snatching it, I walked out of the bathroom, down the hall, and into my room.
The kit very nearly slipped out of my fingers. "What is she doing?" I whispered. Then, louder, "What are 당신 doing?"
With a yelp, she quickly turned. "Oh! Shadow, 당신 scared me!" Amy screamed while pouncing off my bed.
Her eyes were wide on mine and she was on my 침대 in my shirt. Oh dear God, what am I going to do with her? I shook my head to get rid of the erotic 이미지 that came to mind with that thought. "What were 당신 doing?"
"I was, um…" She looked back at my headboard. "I was trying to figure out the puzzle…"
I blinked. "The what?"
"On your headboard. It, um, looks like a maze." She drew her arms up and wrapped them around her sides.
I watched her movements, mind completely empty for a minute.
She cocked her head. “I see that 당신 grabbed the first aid kit.”

"Oh…Riiight” I muttered while walking toward her.
“Sit down!” I commanded while opening up the tap on the first aid box.
I didn't have to look at the picture to know what she was talking about. "Now what were 당신 talking about earlier down stairs again?"
She shrugged. I looked over at the picture 의해 the dresser that seemed to grab her attention.
"Oh that Tails gave it to me. He was giving pictures away after the thing. He was planning on giving it to 당신 but 당신 were to damn interested in finding Sonic so I kept it just incase 당신 wanted it. I really don’t care about that picture. 당신 can have it that’s all I know.’” I was so in the mood to kick her out of my house but that would be so heartless. And that picture just made it worst on me. I walked over to her and sat hesitantly 다음 to her on my bed. I pulled some antiseptic out of the kit. "This'll probably sting," I murmured, spraying some on her knee.
She winced a bit when I laid a soft cloth over the antiseptic.
I glanced up at her, than back down at her knee as I cleaned it. "Any 더 많이 질문 Amy?"
"Why were 당신 smiling at me in the picture and not the comets? 당신 never smile at me."
I wrapped her knee in a bandage. Attempted not to answer that question.
"I never see you," I accused.
I spritzed antiseptic over her other knee. "Maybe I just don't let 당신 see." Now the cloth was cleaning the wound.
I wrapped a bandage around her other knee, annoyed with myself. She seemed to bring that reaction out in me, and I didn't like it.
"Maybe I do see 당신 smile. Maybe at Rouge," she chuckled back.
I looked up at her sharply, annoyed with her now. "Shut-up, Amy."
"No, I mean it! See your blushing hot red all over again" She joked some more.
I cupped her chin in my hand. "I said shut-up none of this is about Rouge! She’s just my teammate. That’s all.” I finally released her chin and looked away.
She jerked her head away. Tears were welling up in her eyes. That's horrible of me to have made a happy person cry. Just messed up in so many ways. “ Horrible.” I answered back while grabbing the first aid kit and heading off.
Before I walked out the room I looked back at her.
She looked up at me and I stared into her eyes. They were such a deep jade and glistening with tears. One spilled from her eye and I watched it slip down her cheek and drop away. Damn‘it how does Sonic even put up with this girl everyday. What does he do to make her stop crying? Mostley just running away and how the hell did Sonic just randomly pop into my head. I than started to trail off leaving the 담홍색, 핑크 hedgehog in a depressing mood on my bed.


The quiet of her voice had me cringing. Damn it all… "Okay, good. I'll see if the rain's stopped." I stood and walked out quickly, not used to the feeling of shame.
(Amy's POV)
Wiping tears that had started to fall, I sat up and tugged the 셔츠 down. What is wrong with me? Am I destined to be alone forever?
I stood and walked over to his dresser to pick up the picture of us. I'd given up on Sonic in the storm, but would I have to give up Shadow as well?
I rubbed a hand over my heart. It had never hurt this much before. With a shudder I let out another sneeze, I silently whipped my nose and walked downstairs. Maybe I would not feel so bad if I got away from Shadow.


(Shadow's POV)
I wanted to 펀치 something. I wanted to ram my head against the 표, 테이블 I sat at until I bled. I stared out the window, watching helplessly as the rain battered the window. I hated myself for what I had just done up there.
I than heard a door slam and walked out of the 부엌, 주방 to see what it was. Speak of the devil…
The blue blur shook him much like he had done at the 식당 earlier. "Damn, who knew rain could be that violent, huh?"
My eye twitched. Remembering Amy's tears over him, I had to hold back the desire to cold cock him. "What are 당신 doing here, faker?"
" I was just out their looking for Amy and noticed her gone.(Damn that Moonlight got me all guilty for leaving her alone like that) just wanted out of the storm, that's all." He grinned at me. "Plus, I figured you'd have some food."
Oh now 당신 care.” Get the hell out of here.” I nearly snapped aggressively
"Sheesh. Now 당신 sound like Knuckles. 'Get offa my island. What are 당신 doing here? Blah, blah, blah.'" His eyes darted around. "Oh sweet, 당신 got a 불, 화재 goin'."Sonic randomly outburst while sitting down 다음 toward the fire.
"So why are 당신 testier than normal, Shad? Got a girl here 또는 something?" He snickered at me, but I could tell the 초 he saw Amy's things on the floor. His face went white and his eyes huge. "Holy crap!"
He whipped around to gape at me. "You got Amy here?"
My eyes twitched again. "It's not what 당신 think, 당신 baboon. She never made it out of the rain, so-"
"Her dress is dry," Sonic pointed out.
My teeth clenched. "She's only been here for a while."
"Uh-huh…" He was slowly driving me to murder with that superior look in his eyes. "Where is she now?" His eye caught something and he bolted to the side of the stairs where he picked up her headband. "Upstairs, eh?" He grinned. "I bet she's in your 침대 또는 its rape!."
Now my ears went flat on my head. "Rape!.” I ordered while nearly tossing the chair at his head.” I barely got to touch the damn girl!” Oh, he was so close to being killed. "Or she's probably asleep better.” He snickerd some 더 많이 while circling around me.

It would take someone with a lot les brains than me to understand what Sonic was implying. "One 더 많이 word, faker, and I swear I will kill you." “Sonic?” Amy questioned while coming down stairs. Sonic gazed at her for a 스플릿, 분할 second. “What the hell are 당신 wearing!” He asked while glancing at me. Amy just stood there while looking at both of us. “Awww look at us 3.Just standing in this very room.(Finally no violence this time!) Amy randomly came to both of us and hugged us for no reason when she accidentally sneezed on Sonic. Sonic backed away. “Eww gross! Now I have Amy germs!” He complained while walking up stairs hopping that it wasn’t rape.” Sonic come back down she’s just a little sick because 당신 were to slow to save her in time!” I ordered while going after the dumb hedgehog. When I finally arrived he was gazing around the room for no reason. “I’m not giving up yet!” He than looked on 상단, 맨 위로 of my 침대 hoping not to find any signs of panties. I than walked over toward me 침대 and watched him tossing my pillows off the bed. I can’t believe it! He was stripping my 침대 apart for no reason. “Hmmm..” He finally responded back while looking at me. “Your 안전한, 안전 for now!” Than Amy followed up toward us. “Sonic?” Amy asked while hugging him. I looked at both of them before I stormed off.

"Hey, 당신 look really pissed." Amy smirked, while walking toward me. I didn’t want to answer in fact that that buffoons in my bedroom probley searching through some 더 많이 of my items. “Shadow?” She answered back while holding my hand. I retrieve my hand away from her grip.” Your cloths are dry.” I finally answered back while walking toward the kitchen. Amy just lay there with those Jade eyes again. While in the 부엌, 주방 I looked at Amy’s first cup of hot 초콜릿 that had seemed to be cooled about now. Sonic than walked into the 부엌, 주방 with curiosity eyes. “I couldn’t find any signs of rape.” He answered me while taking Amy’s cup and sipping on it. I was going to tell him that it was Amy’s cup but I was to depressed to even talk about her.” I didn’t rape her!” I growled back at the dumbass. “Oh really?” He answered back while grinning. My eyes were probley filled with hatred to get him scared enough to jolt some.
"Crap, okay!" he wheezed. "Okay! Jesus!" I moved my foot and he stood, gasping. "Christ, this coco is cold! What are you? In 사랑 with her 또는 something? How do 당신 know that she likes 초콜릿 milk?" He brought a hand to his throat and started to cough. "Holy crap…I’m dieing! I need coffee fast!"
I wiped the corner of my mouth. "I certainly am not in 사랑 with her, and btw you’re too dramatic. Relax I didn’t poison the drink 또는 anything 또는 Id wish I d would" I hissed.

"Oh hell…" I muttered thinking that now im caring for two dumbasses. I walked quickly toward the front room upset with Amy’s emotion toward Sonic and with Sonics for not caring and also with my self for not taking her 집 in the first place. My head started spinning with confusion., wondering how this would react later. "Shadow!" I looked up to see her nearly at the end of the stairs. Her landing was wobbly, so I took her arm. She looked up with wide eyes and I blinked. She seemed…worried. About what tough? Wearing her dress as normal I turned away.
