For some reason I find it really funny how "Paul" said "That gym is not legit!" also, Barry didn't battle Volkner, which is why he said it was such a great gym.

^ Well as far as just counting Silver, I would agree! Besides, the game Silver stole Sneasel from that guy who asked you to look after Shuckle, making sense as to why he would ask you that, making him steal more pokemon! Though they both get better. and... He supposedly tries to give back the starter he stole... At least in the remakes.

Honestly,I am a Silver and Shinji fangirl..I really love them all,not silver in manga,but Paul is so awesome..They are my fav. among pokemon boys/rivals..
