“I sat 의해 my mum, waiting for my aunt, Silver Jewel, to come and visit. Now, being detectives ran in my family, seeing as my dad, aunt, grandpa, great grandpa, and my great grandma were all detectives. In fact, that’s how my great grandparents met. They were both working on a murder case together. Now, back on topic. My aunt arrived that day, and said she had a present for me. She took out a box from her saddlebag and gave it to me. So, I opened it. It was, well, just a dull, grey, scruffy, grungy old fedora. I tried to act like I was surprised-in the good way- and like I liked it. She told me it was a detective fedora. So I took it, and went up to my room, and set it on my shelf. I didn’t like it. It just sat there and uglied up my shelf. So the 다음 day, I took my mum’s sewing kit and started making it better. I saw my mum sew things all the time, so I kinda knew how to do it. I reinforce the stitching, added some beads, and to make it look even better, I added a 어치, 제이 feather. I felt proud of my work. It looked like a true detective’s hat. I put it on and looked in the mirror. That’s when I noticed it. My cutie mark. It was a black fedora with a feather poking out of it. I then realized that my destiny was not going to be in detective work, but in hat designing. I felt happy for getting my cutie mark, but ashamed for it being so… girly. When I went to school, everypony laughed at me. And they still do, but I’ve grown used to it.
“And that is how I got my cutie mark.” Blue Fedora finished his story. “That story was so BORING!” Scootaloo blurted out. “I’ve heard better stories from Granny Smith when she’s talking in her sleep!” joked Applebloom. “The story was a little… lame.” Said Sweetie Belle. “Come on! Let’s go hear how 무지개, 레인 보우 Dash got her cutie mark again!” said an eager Scootaloo, hopping onto her scooter. The three fillies left to go in 검색 of 무지개, 레인 보우 Dash. Blue Fedora sighed. “They were the ones who asked in the first place.” He muttered. He stood up and trotted down the road, going to pack his stuff so he could go back 집 to Canterlot. He was visiting his friend, Aqua Marine, for a few days, hoping to meet new friends. But when he met some ponies here, they laughed. 무지개, 레인 보우 Dash laughed so hard she cried when she met him. The only ponies that didn’t make fun of him were Fluttershy, Twilight, and Rarity. Even 사과 브랜디 sniggered a little when he introduced himself.
He was at the train station, waiting for the train to arrive, when he heard a familiar voice call his name. “Blue Fedora!!! WAAAAIT!!!” he glanced over his shoulder and saw Aqua Marine barreling towards him. He tried to step out of the way, but it was too late. She knocked into him, sending him sprawling on the ground, trying to get his breath back. He glared at Aqua, who was standing over him. “What?” he asked irritably. “You forgot your hat.” Said Aqua, dipping her head, so the sparkly blue fedora with a red feather on the 벨트 fell off her head. The ponies around them erupted into laughter. Blue Fedora squeezed his eyes shut, embarrassment washing over him. “What are 당신 all laughing at?!” Aqua shouted. “This stallion so happens to make hats! Big whoop. Some of his designs are really popular.” She further raged. “You, yeah, you!” she pointed at a mare that was wearing a light blue sunhat with beautiful yellow beading on it. “If it wasn’t for my buddy here, 당신 wouldn’t have that hat.” The mare pulled the hat down over her face, biting her lip and looking very embarrassed. “That’s what I thought.” Aqua said, spreading her wings and flying away. “I hate Manehattan ponies.” One of the ponies muttered as the crowd dispersed. Blue Fedora stepped on the train after it pulled up. “Going home.” Sighed Blue Fedora, looking out the window. He closed his eyes and sighed, relaxing in his 좌석 as the train pulled away.
