저기요 there Huli's!
Well, Bea says this ok for publishing so here it is. This is NOT the finale. There will be one 더 많이 part. I hope 당신 enjoy it and again, I thank those of 당신 who are loyal readers.
Lisa heard a noise behind her as she worked. She had become accustomed to this game and so she faked a startle when Spirit pounced on her from under a rose bush. Then she laughed at him as he stuck his paw out and patted her hand.
“Spirit…I think we are on to your secret.” She said as he crawled out from the 부시, 부시 대통령은 and rubbed against her feet.
“Really? And what secret is that?” Lisa jumped as a low, voice spoke behind her. It was Mavis and she was standing behind Lisa with a basket full of various herbs she must have been clipping.
“Oh, Mavis 당신 startled me.”
“Evidently. Now what were 당신 saying about a secret of some sort?” She peered down her nose and shifted her eyes to the cat that was now crouching with a slightly arched back.
“Only that he is so playful and not a mean cat at all as I think he likes to pretend.” Lisa reached over to pet him and he relaxed ever so slightly.
“That cat is useless.” Mavis then turned and headed back to the House.
Lisa looked back at Spirit. “That was close”.
She heard a noise behind her at the house and she turned to see Mavis in the window staring down at her. Lisa felt a sick feeling in her stomach. On a whim she turned to Spirit.
“If anything happens to me, 당신 need to get to Hugh right away. Do 당신 understand me?”
The cat nodded ever so slowly to her.
Her words could not have been 더 많이 prophetic. A flash of green light erupted in a steady stream hitting Lisa in the back. A searing, burning pain filled her and a hot, green light surrounded her so she couldn’t see. She had no idea what was happening, she felt like she was spinning. She fell to the ground and when she could see again, she looked down and caught site of black…black feathers? She tried to reach up to touch them only to see a claw extend in front of her. Was that her hand? She tried to yell and what she heard answered what she already knew. It was the scream of a bird. No matter how she tried to form words, all that came out was the high pitched squeal of a raven. She laid there unable to 옮기기 as she watched the pointy green and black shoes approach her. She was held upside down 의해 one foot and brought into the big house. It was disorienting. She could see a cage in the corner and before she knew it, she was laying inside of it.
“Don’t worry. You’ll be upright again in no time. I am sure being a bird can’t be all bad.”
From Mavis’ lips came the low, twisted cackle of a woman who was truly filled with evil.
Back in the Greenhouse, Spirit had managed to push his way through the door. It wasn’t as hard as he thought, but he was filled with adrenaline too. It had been one thing to endure this himself, but he couldn’t let this happen to Lisa. She was so kind to him.
He crawled up to where Hugh slept and brushed his face with his paw.
Hugh raised his hand to brush the paw away so Spirit persisted.
Hugh opened one eye and then cracked a smile.
“Good morning Spirit.” But Spirit continued to tap at Hugh with his paw and then he began to meow as if in a distress of sorts. Suddenly Hugh picked up on his demeanor.
“What is it? Is something wrong?’ He couldn’t believe he was actually anticipating a response to that 질문 from a cat.
Spirit nodded immediately.
Hugh shook his head for a moment. Of course he
had thought they were right about this, but to see the cat respond like a human took some getting used to. Then the fear flooded over him.
“Is it Lisa?”
Spirit nodded yet again and Hugh sprang to his feet and flew to the window. He saw nothing at all of Lisa. Anger filled him and a million thoughts rushed through his head. Spirit was at his feet as if waiting to follow him whatever his 다음 옮기기 was.
There was no logic to this and maybe that was the problem, nothing did make sense and 연기 rationally had not worked so far.
Back in the main house, Melvina walked through the main room where Lisa was now imprisoned in a cage as a common raven.
“Mavis, where did 당신 get this bird?”
“Oh it must have injured a wing in the storm so I brought it in to tend to it.”
Melvina moved closer and looked at the bird. Something about it seemed familiar. She was trying to pin the feeling down when she heard the door to the Greenhouse crash open and heavy footsteps up the stairs and to the room where Mavis and her stood. Standing before them was Hugh with Spirit at his heels.
The two witches were taken aback. Apparently Mavis has cast her spell so that they could not leave the Greenhouse without her knowledge, but she hadn’t counted on sealing the entrance to the house. Until now, either Hugh 또는 Lisa had ever tried.
Hugh was flushed red with anger and panic and yet a resolve kept him calm enough to stand firm. “Melvina, when did your boyfriend disappear? Ask Mavis what happened to him!”
Mavis looked suddenly sheepish and then she quickly regained her composure.
“What foolishness is this?! How dare 당신 come in here and bring up such a..”
Hugh looked directly at Melvina who stood with her mouth open.
“When did he disappear? Did it happen to be the same time that Spirit appeared around the house?”
Spirit left the safety of Hugh’s feet and jumped into the middle of this odd scene. He stopped and looked directly up at Melvina.
“Yes…yes he did.” The words came out softly as if she was trying to comprehend them as she spoke.
Mavis had whipped her head around and stared at her sister.
“Goodness Vina, don’t listen to this fool. It means NOTHING. Arthur disappeared and that is all there is to it. Why would I?...”
Spirit bounded about in front of Melvina.
“Melvina, please…she did something to ..Arthur is it? She turned him into this cat and now she’s done something to Lisa too.” Hugh was desperate for her to believe him.
Lisa could see what was going on and she could understand it clearly, but she made a loud caw, she did and as loud as possible. Hugh turned and looked at the bird over his shoulder his eyes grew big as the bird began to squawk.
“Melvina, have 당신 ever seen this bird before today?”
Melvina felt an intense heat come from her chest and up to her chin, her cheeks until it painted her forehead an intense red. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing yet she was looking in the eyes of a cat that she had adored for years and seeing for the first time what she had missed before. It meant the man she loved had never been far away at all, but it also meant that her dearest sister had betrayed her in the worst way possible. Then she looked at the bird in the cage and the desperate, pleading look on Hugh’s face.
“No…I’ve never….Mavis?” She turned towards her sister.
Mavis was of the quick realization that her plan was unfolding in front of her. Anger and defensiveness overtook her. She reached down and grabbed Spirit in one swoop she headed for the door out to the garden. As soon as it registered, Melvina was right behind her. Hugh turned towards Lisa who so delicately sat perched in the cage and he opened the small door and reached a hand in to grab her. Once he had her tucked in his arm, he headed out the door as well to what would surely be an amazing showdown outside.
Once they were outside the scene displayed before them took an even stranger form. In the glow of the moon the two witches were standing across from one another in the center of the 꽃 garden. The wind blew their long dresses around them. As Hugh and Lisa drew closer he could hear their words.
“Mavis, I have overlooked your rather liberal use of magic for years, but THIS, THIS is insane! How could 당신 do this to me?” In her face, Hugh saw the mostly sweet natured Melvina take on a new strength. He moved over to the side of the rose bushes where it wasn’t easy to be seen.
“Melvina, 당신 didn’t NEED him, he was not worthy of you! I did 당신 a favor.”
“It wasn’t for 당신 to decide! And harm ye none Mavis, HARM YE NONE! Did 당신 forget that part? Grandmother would be ashamed of…”
Mavis rose up to her full height, still holding Spirit in her arms and cut Melvina off in mid sentence.
“Grandmother was weak, as 당신 are. She gave in to much to the human ways.”
“Grandmother was stronger than you’ll ever be!” Melvina formed her right hand into a ball.
Suddenly she pulled her arm back and threw her arm 앞으로 as if throwing a ball, but instead of a solid object, a stream of purple light, intense like lightening itself came from her hand and flew past the left ear of Mavis who jumped to the side to avoid it. In the process, she dropped Spirit. The purple light illuminated Mavis’ face and she looked enraged to the two, hidden onlookers. She recovered quickly and turned back towards Melvina.
“You are going to do this to me? Your own sister? Over what Melvina, a man 당신 haven’t seen in over a 년 and some pathetic humans who will turn from 당신 in a minute? Mavis was trying to plead but her words seemed tainted with venom.
Melvina looked down at Spirit who had scrambled over to her side. She held her hands up to the bright, full moon and muttered some words that Hugh and Lisa had never heard before. A soft purple glow surrounded Spirit. He sat as still as a statue as the light continued to emanate from him glowing stronger until he started to grow. Hugh peered through the bushes, still holding Lisa close to his chest. Before his eyes, what had once been a gorgeous cat was now a full grown man. He was nearly as tall as Hugh with dark, black hair. Hugh placed him at middle age somewhere. He stood close to Melvina who stared on at him in disbelief. There was a dead silence for 초 and then he threw his arms around Melvina and hugged her tightly. She was holding on to him and weeping softly when Hugh saw Mavis raise her hand into a fist.
“NO!” he yelled but the stream of bright green lightening was already streaming from her hand directed at Melvina and Arthur. In a 스플릿, 분할 초 Melvina stepped in front of Arthur and held her hand out to deflect the bolt. It knocked her off of her feet. And again came the light thrown at her from Mavis’ hand. It was all happening so fast, purple light, green light and words muttered and yelled in some foreign tongue. Lisa was struggling against Hugh and he looked down at her. She seemed to want him to let go so he placed her on the ground. He looked over to his side as Arthur had made his way behind the 부시, 부시 대통령은 too.
“Spirit, I mean…Arthur. I guess we were right.” Hugh said it while eyeing the man up and down.
“Yes 당신 were. And thank 당신 so much.” Arthur looked truly grateful.
When Hugh turned back towards the scene he saw a bird flying right into the middle of the most colossal fight he had ever seen before. He looked down at his side and Lisa was gone. His heard fell as he realized she was soaring in between two witches. He leapt to his feet and ran around the outside the two women and Arthur quickly followed. Both men had given up on staying out of this.
Melvina had thrown a lightening bolt at a cherub statue which was now animated and flying about with Lisa overhead. Mavis had thrown a bolt at a garden gnome which was now trying to bite at Melvina’s ankles. The scene was all the 더 많이 surreal when illuminated 의해 the ever present moon. 장미 were stretching their vines out into the path and Hugh had grabbed a pair of pruning 큰 가위, 가 위 left outside to help clip them back. The Garden Gnome had managed to trip Melvina who now fell hard to the ground. Mavis took the opportunity and threw her hand back in the air to direct her wrath at her sister. But one beautiful, dark black raven appeared at the last moment and 비둘기 down in front of Mavis, taking the full inpact of the green bolt onto her self so that it would not hit Melvina. This gave Melvina just the moment to throw a bolt back which hit Mavis directly in the chest. Hugh and Arthur rushed to the center of this bizarre scene. Mavis lay motionless, Melvina rose up from the ground and all of them looked down on the limp body of a small, black bird which lay in the middle of the circle.
Hugh dropped to his knees as if there was no force in the world strong enough to hold him up. A sound emanated from his body that was 더 많이 animal than it was human. It was a mix between grief and anger and anyone who heard it would have felt an intense pain in their very core. He covered his face with his hands and a tear managed to travel down his finger as it fell silently on the black mass of feathers below him.
