Lisa got downstairs in a matter of minutes. She didn't bother to put some make up on, Becca had already seen her without it too many times. She just put a 옷, 가운 on her barely clothed body and went to open the door for her 가장 좋아하는 teenager.
Lisa was really looking 앞으로 to seeing the girl, the last time she saw her was a week before. To her, it seemed like a month. Before, she'd see her every 일 and now that she'd broken up with Hugh, that wasn't the case.
She opened the door just to find Rebecca smiling from ear to ear, which just made Lisa smile even 더 많이 herself.
Becca then saw that Lisa was wearing only a robe, and knowing what Lisa wearing a 옷, 가운 usually meant, she frowned a little. She was aware that Lisa had gotten together with someone other than her father, but it still bothered her to even think about another man going where she thought only her father had been.
The whole image with Lisa and her father disturbed her 의해 itself, but it sure disturbed her a lot less than an image of Lisa and some other guy.
“Am I interrupting something?” Becca asked with a half smile.
Lisa crossed her arms at her middle, trying to 덮개, 랩 her 옷, 가운 a bit 더 많이 when she encountered a cool March breeze.
“Actually... yes” She looked at the floor a bit as she couldn't stand to see Rebecca's reaction. She knew that it had to have some impact, well, 더 많이 of a great impact on the girl and it bothered her that she was hurting her little one.
As Lisa realized that she was referring to Becca as her little one, again, she screwed her eyes shot trying to forget about it.
“Good!” Becca exclaimed happily, startling Lisa a bit. However, this was typical Rebecca: witty just like her father. The teenager didn't bother to ask if she could come in, and she just walked past 의해 Lisa and entered the living room quickly after.
As she did, 늑대 E, one of Lisa's 개 that was sleeping on the 침상, 소파 no matter that Lisa was trying to teach them all to stay of furniture, woke up at the sound of Rebecca's voice and jumping of a couch, went to greet her.
Becca was overwhelmed. It had been a week 또는 so since she had been at Lisa's house, and it was just for a little while, and she grew to miss the 개 and the cat... She bent to stroke 늑대 E's back and the dog waved his tail happily.
“He missed you” Lisa said once she was in the living room. She rested at the door frame and just watched Becca play with 늑대 E for a bit. It was quite a view... that she grew to miss 더 많이 and 더 많이 each day.
Three months before, all this would have been just a daily scene to her, and now... it was something she got to see only when Becca decided she wanted to interrupt Lisa's boyfriend time.
Becca let Lisa know that she didn't like her dating John at all the moment the girl learned that Lisa'd been dating him. Lisa sure knew that Becca wanted her father and her 'momma', as Becca would call Lisa from time to time, to get back together. She could only imagine how much this whole break up thing impacted the teenager.
Most people would think that someone as Becca, someone that had learned his/her that had been having affair, would be angry with both his/her father and the woman he had been involved with.
But not Becca. The girl embraced Lisa, looked up to her as if she had been her mother. She loved Lisa... and she had no other female to stick with given that her mother hadn't been keen on her daughter approving of her father's shannanigans.
“I missed him” Becca voiced, her words coming out rather soft and with something that Lisa would recognize as sadness. “Didn't you?” the girl finished scoffing a bit, trying to hide the tears that were forming in her eyes.
“I miss him too...” Lisa said, aware of what she was saying and knowing what Becca had ask wasn't meant to mean 늑대 E.
“Come home, then, please... I miss 당신 too much” Becca let the dog roll on the floor as she faced Lisa, hurt radiating from her eyes.
“You know I can't, Becca... This goes beyond you... and I'm so sorry for that” Lisa moved from the door frame and started going towards Becca.
The girl met her half way and leaped into a hug.
For a while they just stood there, in each others arms, trying to hold on to the strong bond they still had.
If you'd ask them, they could have stood there, like that, for hours, days even. However, they broke off their hug as they heard a forced cough coming from behind them.
They turned to find John standing at the bottom of stairs, his arms crossed, pursing his lips together.
He sure didn't like what he saw, 또는 was rather uncomfortable 의해 it.
Becca rolled her eyes and leaned towards Lisa, and whispered into her ear
“He just has to ruin everything”
and again, Lisa knew that her girl wasn't talking just that particular moment.
당신 know what I want ;)
