Gossip Girl is an American 텔레비전 teen drama inspired 의해 the 인기 novel series of the same name, written 의해 Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl satirizes and revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York City's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, jealousy, and other teenage issues.

The series first aired on September 18, 2007 in Canada on CTV before premiering in the U.S. a 일 later on September 19, 2007 on The CW, following America's 다음 상단, 맨 위로 Model.[1][2] The premiere episode also became available on the iTunes Store as a free download on September 14, 2007, four days before the series' debut. Gossip Girl returned on Monday, April 21, 2008, with five new episodes to follow.[4] The CW announced on March 3, 2008 that Gossip Girl would return for a 초 season consisting of 24 episodes.[5] In Canada, CTV will send the series down to the relaunched A-Channel for the 초 season, Sundays at 8:00 p.m. E/P.
