Monique: hey., Savio. Don't worry, I'm only here to say that I surrender

Savio: *squeesing Rune a little tighter* What? Thisssss better not be a trick!

Monique: no, I'm serious. I give you permission to do to me what you were going to do to me and Kowalski back there

Savio: After I eat thissss little runt, I'll eat you. *opens mouth wide to eat Rune*

Monique: I doubt it. There's more meat in me than there is in her. Eating her would only make you feel more hungry and sick to your stomach

Savio: What are you sssaying?

Monique: I'm saying that I'm more likely to satisfy your hunger if you strangle and eat me now

Savio: *stares at Monique* I ssssupposssse. But I like a sssmall fisssrt courssse, before the main meal. *goes to eat Rune again*

Monique: but she's someone who's probably.been in garbage which will make her less appetising. (Whispering through teeth) sorry, rune.

Rune: *staring at Monique* *struggling to breath as Savio squeezes tighter*
Savio: It addssss extra flavour.

Monique: (raising right arm) I highly recommend starting with my blood. Trust me, it tastes really good.

CC: *sneaks behind Savio, and tries do undo his coils*
Savio: *sees her* What are you doing?

Monique: preparation for your more satisfying meal: me. Besides, there's a bonus to eating me: it causes an added torture

Savio: *turns to Monique* Not you, the little penguin with the glasses. *turns back* Where'd she go? *notices missing Rune* And where's my dinner?

CC: *at a safe place and talking to Rune* Silent as a ghostly wind.

Monique: I just told you what she was doing: preparation for your more satisfying meal: me. Rune would be less appetising, anyway.

Savio: Ssso you WANT me to eat you? A bit ssssuicccidal, wouldn't you ssssay?

Monique: try convincing my depressed past selves otherwise.

Savio: Enough ssssssmall talk. *wrapssss hissss coilssss around Monique* Dinner time!

Monique: (closes eyes and singing quietly) show me what it's like to be the last one standing. Teach me wrong from right and I'll show you what I can be.
Kowalski: (from a nearby tree) she's singing. That's the signal.

Savio: What are you doing? Ssssinging won't ssssave you!

Monique: sorry, just something I feel the urge to do before I, well, go.

Savio: Well, ssssing your lasssst sssssong, becaussse you haven't got long!

Monique: (singing quietly) prison gates won't open up for me. On these hands and knees I'm crawling, all I reach for you. I'm terrified of these four walls, cause iron bars can't hold my soul in, all I need is you.
Kowalski: (sneaks up to Savio's head and sprays it with amnesia mist) alright. What's next?
Monique: well, now that I'm done seeing my life flash before my eyes, time to knock this snake upside the head/throat! (strangles Savio till he's unconscious)

CC: *comes out of hiding* Did we win?

Monique: yea. (flings Savio all the way to Hoboken)
Kowalski: Monique, did you mean it when you were talking about your past depressed selves?
Monique: you know about my rampage, Kowalski. The past haunting me is the main reason I said that

CC: I don't understand, but it's probably none of my buisness.
Rune: Is that big snake gone, CC?
CC: Yes, Rune. He's gone.

Monique: (walks up to tree singing quietly) I used to think that I could not go on and life was nothing but an awful song, but now I know the meaning of true love. I'm leaning on the everlasting arms. If I can see it, then I can do it. If I just believe it, there's nothing to it.

CC: Nice song. What's it called?

Kowalski: sounds like "I Believe I Can Fly". (coming up to Monique and singing) I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky. I think about it every night and day, spread my wings and fly away.
Monique: (acknowledging Kowalski, smiling and singing) I believe I can soar. I see me running through that open door. I believe I can fly, I believe I can fly, I believe I can fly. (Kowalski touches Monique's shoulders)
Monique and Kowalski: (singing in harmony and smiling at each other) cause I believe in you.

CC: Nice.

Monique: it's all about vocal connection.
Kowalski: nothing to it. (giggling and smiling at Monique)

CC: I see.

Kowalski: Monique, why did you want to be the bait?
Monique: I guess, from experience, I felt I had a more convincingly eager behavior. (rubs back of neck)
Kowalski: (grabs Monique's arms) listen to me. That song we were singing means a lot. It even gives a reason for you not to feel eager.
Monique: the sad thing is I almost forgot that it was only a diversion.
Kowalski: listen to yourself. I want you to do one thing for me: don't you ever think of trying to end up like Manfreedi and Johnson again! GOT IT? (tears come down face slowly)
Monique: (tears coming down face) I get the picture, Kowalski.

CC: *watches silently*

Monique: I didn't think you'd worry that much.
Kowalski: since when wouldn't I worry about you? (both hugging and crying)

Rune: *cuddling her tail and crying*

Monique: (while hugging) you know, Kowalski, you're one of the reasons I decide to stay alive.
Kowalski: (while hugging) really?
Monique: of course, I wouldn't go if it means leaving you behind.
Kowalski: if there was no possible way to bring you back, I wouldn't know what to do. (pulls from hug and wipes tear from Monique's face) but all that matters is that we're both alive and together. There's another reason for you to remain alive

Rune: *wiping her eyes* What would that be?

Kowalski: friends for trust and support

CC: Like us?

Kowalski: yes

Rune: By why wouldn't she want to live?
CC: Some people just don't.
Rune: By why Monique?

(I'm confused... Again. So Monique is suicidal?)

(Memories haunt her and that experience with Savio reminded her of that)
Monique: try living with uncontrolled strength that feared people at times. I just get scared that, at one point, I might end up hurting the team, you guys, or Kowalski.

CC: But I'm sure you won't Monique.

Monique: I sure hope not.
Kowalski: you won't. Don't worry. Beside, I've kept anger management results from then and now juxtaposed and you've made some great progress.
Monique: really?
Kowalski: of course

CC: See? It'll be fine.
