This isn't really an almost kiss. It's more like the end of the dance. Ariel and Eric's almost kiss is so wonderful - the setting, the song, everyone is rooting for it to happen.

We're so far away from Phillip and Aurora... that we don't see any action going on from this distance! This is just the trailing off of a dance...

At least, in TLM's second kiss, there was some suspense built-in: the catchy song setting the mood, the sea creatures and the lightening bugs making things cozy and romantic, and I was really rooting for Eric and Ariel. It was clear as day to me that Eric already liked Ariel, even though she had said zero words to him. You saw how broadly he grinned while he was trying to guess her name... Eric actually laughed at the face Ariel made when he called her Diana. Eric definitely was flirting with Ariel. I don't think there was any "forcing" going on, on Ariel's part at all.

Not my favorite

I think Aurora and Phillip's was so sweet, genuine and romantic. It was so soft and subtle. Is this referring to this exact scene in the picture or the scene in the film just after this where they almost kiss looking out over the kingdom?

@laylastepford this poll is referring to the exact scene in the picture. I did not interpret the scene with them looking out over the kingdom as being a scene in which they almost kissed, otherwise I would have included it. :)

That's why I just assumed you were referring to that scene as an almost kiss rather than while they were still making their way through the trees. I thought the picture you chose was implying the scene that took place later. Thanks for clearing that up! Sorry about the confusion. (My vote would've been the same either way though. :D)
