Frozen is for the people who like it. There's now enough of a Frozen "dislike" fanbase to compete with the Frozen "love" fanbase. Romance in Disney movies remains intact, pretty much.

I try to view each movie in its own context.
I don't really watch any of the DP movies for the romance anyway. :)

Whenever I watch Frozen and the scene where Elsa tells Anna, "You can't marry someone you just met," people go "Yeah, about time Disney!" amd then they bash all the previous Disney couples for having typical fairytale romances and I'm thinking, "Hey, stop ruining the past Disney movies for me!" I already know that Disney romance does not translate well in real life.

^Don't let the Frozen fanbase ruin your enjoyment of Disney. I planted Elsa squarely at the bottom of my list for her mouth-off, and because of her fanbase's complete obsession with her ( which is unfounded, btw, since she is a complete coward). Then I moved on.

Nope, i'm old enough to understand what happens in a Disney movie doesn't happen in real life. People who are all "omg my childhood is ruined!!! Stupid Disney giving me unrealistic expectations! you go Frozen for telling the truth!" need a serious reality check.

what fahmad said. stuff like that doesn't get "ruined" for me but it doesn't make Frozen as enjoyable for me.

Why it should? The movie was made in modern era, the different one with past Disney movie eras, so the statements and stereotypes between the characters would be different, too.
