I feel sorry for Misa, but I think she deserves much better than Light.

Takada is far more intelligent than Misa. In some way she would be a better assistant for Kira on a short time. But because of this, she could betray him like : "I can be Kira myself , just wipe him, I know his name .
And it's not sure that she is really in love with him. Maybe she just wants to take her revenge because of his relations with Amane. (Remember he pretended to be his boyfriend when misa spotted up in Todai just before her arrestation.)
Misa is less intelligent, and she often place Light in dangerous situation, but we are sure she is deeply in love with him, so she wouldn't do anything that can harm him voluntary.
*bullshit theory starts* The reason why Light chooses to swap between Misa and Takada/Mikami could just be to protect her because he finally got some sentiments for Misa. Not love, but "affection", so it's was a mean for him to protect her from punishments or danger. Also we know that even is he became some kind of war machine, he still has some feels for some people,: his father, sister... Why not for her ? And if it's wasn't the case, why he wouldn't have killed her just like Takada instead of just let her forget about the note ? *Bullshit theory ends *

Though Takada was more intelligent than misa ,it doesn't mean that she's perfect for light. In my opinion Misa should have been a good partner of light. She really loved light and can do anything for him ,light too has a little care towards her nevertheless he used her as a tool coz she has shinigami eyes. But even when light has lost his Kira's memory ,he was like he cared about misa ,a very little but yeah, he does.
Also as Misa can do anything for light so she can put herself to death to save Light or help him . She just wanted to stay with light and help him wanted to be useful to him. Thus misa is perfect for light.
