A Fan's Response to 'People Hating On Ian'

Hi,

The author of 'People Hating on Ian' has adopted the notion that opinions diverging from her own are nothing 더 많이 than disgruntled attacks. I disagree.

We're all TVD 팬 and we can agree that we all 사랑 the show to a fault. In fact, I think TVD 팬 are some of the most passionate 팬 out there and quite frankly, that's great; but I don't want to see that passion manifest itself into something its not. I don't want to see it manifest into this accusatory system pitting one faction against the other. Trust me, it isn't necessary. A lot of us (including myself) can do a lot better than that.

Anyway, where was I...expressing one's displeasure with an actor/actress' past performances 또는 a character's past transgressions is not an admission of hostility 또는 hate but a way in which one can express their feelings about the 사무용 겉옷, 전반적인 direction of the show/characters. Many of us, including myself, may use unorthodox methods to get that message across but in no way is it indicative of some deep-seeded hostility towards the actors themselves.

Please keep that in mind when addressing statements, posts 또는 기사 의해 other 팬 (or 의해 me for that matter). Speaking of which, a link to a Bamon 기사 may give readers (within this forum) the impressions that something foul is afoot. I'm here to assure 당신 all that none could be further from the truth. The 기사 and the replies it received are nothing 더 많이 than expounded opinions.

INLOVEWITHDAMON Firstly I would like to thank you for being respectful. Secondly I would like to once again elaborate on the fact that my frustration was not JUST based on that article. There was a whole different kind of drama on twitter yesterday regarding Ian as well. If other people chose to bring that article in the discussion that's their business, and it's separate from my thoughts. I never called out any individuals. You say it's not hostility towards the actors, but I say that's exactly what it is. Placing blame on the actor who doesn't share your view is wrong in my opinion. I think it was just yesterday when I saw someone here call JP a bitch and I asked them not to do that. I don't like it when any shippers try to place blame on the actors and writers, especially the actors, considering they have no control over what happens in the show. It's like people sending hate tweets to Kat after "Isobel" all over again. Anyway I understand that you don't agree with my premise so I'm not going to try to convince you of otherwise.

ducky8abug @Katie15: Yes, guilty as charged. I called all DE fans 'obnoxious little freaks.' I thought it was the best tactic against some unwarranted comments in a S/E thread. Not my finest moment, but none that could be helped at the moment. Anyway, thank you for reading and please keep in mind that we're all here to celebrate the awesomeness that is TVD.

ducky8abug @INLOVEWITHDAMON: I'm always respectful, even when appearances prove false. Anyway, your take on the article is a matter of interpretation. When we express our thoughts, some rely on emotion while others use objectivity. I lean towards the latter. I read that article and interpreted it as the author's displeasure in Ian's performances. Her article and subsequent replies revealed that she was displeased with Ian's past performances. She thought his performances were not as passionate in Season 2 as they were in Season 1. If you go back and re-read not only the article but the replies she received as well as her responses, you'll note that her answers correlate with what I am posting now. In fact, if you'd like, you are more than free to re-direct your attention to that article and review past statements. I guarantee there is nothing ingenious or hostile about it.

Don't go crazy on in this 기사 I will try to subjective. A side the fact I don't really like Stefan that much and hate stelena but this show has focused A LOT on Stefan's history.

I mean isn't about the 3 main characters (Damon, elena, and Stefan) about their history and how they changed as characters, but all we have seen and learned about for the last 2 seasons is Stefan past, who he was, what he did (his past as riper), his friends(lexie) ,and who became good Stefan.

But until now we know nothing about what Damon was doing for the last 100 and so years( I mean a side from trying to get...

Seriously! Stefan ended things with Elena and sure he still loves her but I mean HE REMEMBERS HIS 사랑 WITH REBECA (LOVED that twist with her and Klaus knowing him btw)

I am praying that Stefan and Rebeca rekindle their relationship. That way Stefan will finally be in a happy relationship where he doesn't have to constantly worry about the 사랑 of his life being in danger because of it.

What's your opinion on Kevin Williamson's latest interview on Delena? It seemed to depress, annoy, anger and strike fear in the hearts of a lot of shippers.

I was wrong.

I didn't know what to call this article. I decided to name it after a movie because the DE scene in 'Rose' reminded me a little of one of my favourite scenes in the film 'Love Actually'.
