Damon & Elena Article: The good brother

To be honest I've never really liked Stefan as a character ...and there were moments where I just wanted to dip him in vervain... one of those moments when he told Damon that it's ok for him to be in 사랑 with Elena as much as he wants , because he will always have the the thing Damon will never have " her respect" ... this statement was so ugly on so many levels , he's not just insulting his brother and hurting him where it really hurts , he's also insulting Elena .. 의해 saying that Damon can have anything - including Elena's 사랑 , friendship - but her respect , he's saying that Elena may fall for someone 또는 be 프렌즈 with someone she doesn't respect ...for him to think really low of her... and the thing that irritates me the most about this statement -and stefan in general - is that it doesn't bother him at all that he's brother is in 사랑 with his girlfriend!!! Once season four started and Stefan approached Elena about the break up , that he can't do this anymore because he knows that she has feelings for Damon -I rejoiced , and thought that Stefan may finally earn my respect , because he finally admitted that he can't be with a woman who's in 사랑 with his brother , that it's not right to keep pretending like nothing is wrong , that this is the only right thing for Elena , for his brother , and mostly for himself ..that they all deserve better than this .... then episodes later my dreams of respecting Stefan were crushed , not only he tried to " fix" Elena and her"diseased" Damon-loving mind , not only he terrorized her brother and turned him into a vamp-killing machine , not only he abused his brother ( mentally , emotionally ) , Stefan had to make the ultimate " ugly " 옮기기 " in 4x12 final scene when he told his brother to calm down his woman ... And accusing Damon of taking advantage of Elena ... This statement is so ugly on so many levels , and the moment he uttered those words I wanted to 펀치 him too .... when Stefan said this one of these things is true : 1)- Stefan deep down knows that Elena sleeping with Damon had nothing to do with the sire bond , and she did it fully and willingly , and this is why he's so pissed at her and treats her this way .. and when he said those words he was simply being mean and low ... if this is the case all I have to say to him is ( making jokes about rape is neither funny nor acceptable , accusing your brother of being a rapeist is neither funny nor acceptable , suggesting that the woman you" supposedly "love may have been raped while your standing there making a joke about it is neither funny nor acceptable ) . 2)- Stefan actually believes that it's all the sire bond , that Damon is really taking advantage of Elena ... if this is the case why is he being an 나귀, 엉덩이 to her too , why is he treating her like crap when he believes that she is a victim , that she was taken against her will , that she was raped and manipulated 의해 his evil brother ... If so why hes not trying to save her , why hes not on her side , protecting her from his evil rapeist brother ... is this the kind of man he is , he's the kind of man that doesn't care if your a victim 또는 not , if 당신 were raped you're damaged and defiled to him " he's done with 당신 " - like he said to Rebekah , he told Rebekah that he wants this cure to find out the truth about the sire bond , so at this point he's not absolutely sure whither Elena is a victim to this bond 또는 not , yet he tells Rebekah that he's " done with her "..... and this is really sad .... wither it's option 1 또는 2 , they're both ugly ... so whatever happens on the show Stefan will never have my respect , no matter what... Maybe I'm over reacting , maybe Stefan isn't this bad , I don't know .. all I know is that he is this bad to me ....

panther-jewel I have somehow liked Stefan and felt sorry for him because he has also been broken by their father, Katherine and others. It isn't his fault that he has always been told how much better than his brother he is and that he had to "create" the "ripper" for himself because he can't deal with what he does when he loses control. I really hope that Stefan will grew up and deal with reality at some point so that he can reach control and find his own peace and happiness. But I still basically agree with you and like your article very much! I also hoped that Stefan developed when he for the first time made a mature decision and broke up with Elena, and I was deeply disappointed afterwards. I hated when he said that Damon will never get Elena's respect, when he told Damon that Elena has te see how bad the older brother is for her in 4x08 and when ever he brought up the sire bond - especially in 4x12. So, is Elena a slut for him or does he see Damon as a rapist, because he can't have both - and neither of those are right. It is weird, but although Damon is the one with the insecurities and complexes, Stefan has always felt threatened by Delena getting closer, supporting each other and building trust and friendship. And he already freaked out when DE kissed, but Stefan still couldn't imagine Elena choosing Damon because of how the two brothers were treated during all of their existence. Stefan also lost much of my sympathy in S4, he had the right to throw things around and to be mad, but he went too far and became - like you perfectly named it - "ugly". And when he was finally ready to move on close to the end of the season, and I started liking him better and hoped again for an improvement in his character, he was again kept in the triangle, and after repeatedly declaring to be willing to move on, he AGAIN got lost in some cheesy fairytale nonsense, what ruined his charcter even more - despite him finally leaving when he couldn't pretend anymore.

panther-jewel Stefan is self-righteous, self-centered and even partly selfish, but he isn't evil. He is dishonest, but he doesn't want to hide his bad sides, he just can't deal with them. That is one of the reasons why I have never liked Stelena, because Stefan didn't tell Elena about stalking her, about being a vampire, about her looking like Katherine, about his dark past and so many other things. But Stefan doesn't mention such things to portray himself in a good way, he just never accepted that he loved Katherine and that the „ripper“ is a part of himself and not some „vampirism creation“ (no one else has that) – and Stefan has to face all of that before he can reach self-acceptance and control. But all of that also led Elena to keep things from Stefan because she is aware of the fact that he doesn't know how to handle such things. So, Stefan's character has been destroyed in S4, and it can never be fully repaired again; I mean for example him actually hating his brother because Damon is for the first time in his long and heart-breaking existence at last truly loved. But it also took VERY long for Damon to stop „lashing out“ and for Elena to overcome her fears, so that it is „normal“ that also Stefan needs time to move on for good, but he is just less and less lovable with still sticking to his immature pretending. Again: I agree with you in general and enjoyed reading your article!

DelenaLove201_ We should also keep in mind that he's just 17. Sort of like Rebekah, we can expect him to be forever immature, because he's an eternal child. And he behaves like one. Forever throwing tantrums, getting jealous, being pouty...

Damon won't tell me anything until we're back at the hotel. I'm scared but I don't know why. I just know that Damon saw something out there and it worried him. And if Damon is worried then it must be bad.
There are way too many people standing about in the hotel lobby to discuss what happened without being overheard, but we manage to find another room that is miraculously empty and pull the door shut.
"Damon, what's going on?" There are a lot of things I don't know, but it seems to me that the 불, 화재 at the Salvatore mansion, the break-in at Stefan and Damon's new apartment and Stefan disappearing...

A look at the EW Covers

This is probably so outdated already but I just had to share.

I've noticed something in the EW 사진 that the trio did. To some people, they may have just seen Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesly. But they failed to see that they were actually portraying their characters in the shoot. Can't really blame 당신 though. The 사진 were distracting. Anyways, I always thought that the themes used in the Ian-Nina and then Paul-Nina pics meant something. White and innocent for the former. Black and seductive for the latter. I thought it was about Damon and Stefan at first so that's why I got...
