Let's start with Elena.Yes,she hurt Damon deeply 의해 saying "Maybe that's the problem" and yes,it seems she doesn't know what she wants yet.But that is understandable.Imagine that 당신 were in her shoes.Right after her parents died she meets Stefan.Stefan who seems perfect.He is always there,he keeps her safe,he cares and protects her loved ones and she knows that he will always be there,because he is immortal.Stefan makes her feel loved and,most importantly,safe.In her eyes she has the perfect,most stable relationship.Then she meets Damon.Damon who seems 'dangerous'.He is unpredictable,many times reckless and everything about him tells her 'not safe'.Stefan makes him the 'bad' brother and why should she 질문 that?But even all that,she still sees something in him,sees through him and his pretences.They start building a relationship and become friends.She counts on him.Then,Stefan's lies begin to show,but she needs to believe that he is the guy she first met,so she forgives him for everything.Also,she has learned what happened with Katherine and she is terrified 의해 the mere thought of history repeating itself.Then Stefan folllows Klaus and leaves her.She starts trusting and depending on Damon even more.She wants to find Stefan but relies on Damon,maybe 더 많이 that she ever planned to.The phrase "Where were 당신 Damon" I think is signifincant.Then the 키스 happens and her world turns upside down.She was sure,had convinced herself that she feels nothing for him "If I think of it even for a second,what does that make me?" but with a kiss, and not even a passionate one she is swept off her feet.She feels conflicted and again,teriffied that she will become what she hates the most:Katherine. So she starts pulling away.Stefan is slowly becoming himself again and she thinks she will find her stabillity again.Damon does not make her feel safe,he makes her feel,and she is terrified 의해 that.I think that even thought she did not mean it,subconsciously she wanted to drive him away,because she is afraid.Afraid of her feelings for him,which turn to be much 더 많이 deep and strong that she ever expected and (personal opinion)way 더 많이 stronger than anything she has ever felt for Stefan.Moreover,she feels she must try again with Stefan because she misses him and the STABILITTY he provided.For a girl like Elena,who sees everyone she loves dying 또는 leaving it is really important to feel safe.And why abandon what she remembers as the perfect relationship?She NEEDS to believe that Stefan is still perfect and that is why she constantly forgives him.That combined with the fear that she will be just another Katherine and will lead Damon and Stefan to another fight makes her pull away for Damon.And it makes sense.It makes perfect sense for her to feel that way.Confused,conflicted.I disagree with Carina McKenzie who said that the "I don't know what I feel" shouldn't have been said.Elena is afraid of her feelings,of her own self.Of course she will tell Stefan,her 안전한, 안전 harbour,that she does not know.But she won't be able to hide from her feelings forever and that is where it will get really interesting.
Let's 옮기기 on to season 3 finale.Rumour has it that Elena will make a choice.Maybe she will choose one Salvatore,or maybe neither.A lot people say that if she doesn't choose Damon then it isn't worth it.I disagree,in fact I don't want her to choose him yet.Yes,we have waited for 3 seasons and SE always gets it easy,but the fact that DE are not easy is what makes them even 더 많이 epic.If Elena chooses Damon now,it is cerain that at some point she will leave him for Stefan.And not bacause she doesn't 사랑 him but because she feels she owes Stefan and because they hadn't had closure yet.They both remember and are nostalgic about how they used to be.They think that they can have the same "perfect" relationship again.Elena will always feel that she did not tried 또는 gave Stefan another chance like she should.She will be with a "what if" and I am quite certain that she will Damon to try to again with Stefan.Do we really want that?Elena going from one Salvatore to the other(because at some point she is bound to realise that she and Stefan do not work and that Damon is the one), and Damon being heartbroken again and like never before?Because I don't think he will survive this easily.To quote him "There is only so much hurt a man can take".He is surviving that Elena said his 사랑 is a problem.But if she is with him and leaves him for Stefan,I doubt he could ever ever cope.To have her and to lose her,that would be too much.That is why I don't mind to see her with Stefan at the end of season 3,in fact I want too.I prefer to endure some 더 많이 SE and then get my DE and make it last,because it will be a solid decision rather than have DE,with a conflicted Elena and then lose it.I prefer Elena telling Damon that she loves him,but has to try with Stefan again because she owes it to herself, and him to understand rather than a get-together that will finish the first half of season 4(at least that is what I think)and,I repeat,not because it lacks 사랑 and passion.
Lat but not least the "Bamon" tweets.We should not worry about that,I think that it is purely fan-service and,in a way,damage control about that incident with some Bonnie 팬 last week.They want to gain them back,so they tell them that BD have scenes (which probably are scenes of Bonnie having to work on a spell to help them,or helping Damon with Alaric etc.Action scenes,in wich they probably are not alone-again,personal opinion).After all,JP at that incident tweeted about Bonnie and Kol "Vampires and witches don't go together.Sorry".She changed her mind in one week and changed the last 3 episodes which were allready written?Highly unlikely.So we should relax.
DE have evolved so much this season.If the writers weren't thinking serious about them,would they invest some much time and energy providing us with such an amazing story?No,they would be together 의해 now,explored their "attraction' and Elena would be back to Stefan her "true love" Is that happening?No.The 더 많이 time they take,the mor eimpossible it will be to break them when they finally happen.So don't let tweets,interviews,spoilers etc bring 당신 down.We know that it is diffucult but we also now that it is worth every second.And when it does happen it will be worth everything we have been through.Epic won't be enough to describe it.
