Snow? What snow?! I live in Zagreb, Croatia, all my life, and we're having not only a November rain all the time, almost every single day, but even now there's a December rain!!! I remember the time when there was a lot of snow for each Christmas, back when I was younger, but now all we ever get is rain, fog, clouds and morning frost. That's about it! No more winter in Zagreb! It's more like a late fall. We don't have a white Christmas for years now, we have green Christmas and even more greener New Year! :(

I don't even live anywhere near the coast, I live on the continent, far away from the Adriatic Sea! There should be at least 30 cm of snow by now. :(

^Almost sounds like our weather! I've never had a white Christmas but when it does snow it's very rare, very brief and it's also at odd times of the year. But I'm sorry you haven't had any snow in a long time.

^I blame this whole climate change for this weird weather we're having around here. This kind of weather is very unusual for continental parts of Croatia. We got used to all this mild winter, but that's not our climate zone anymore. Every year it looks more and more like a warm Mediterranean climate over here and that's just not right. We should have a continental climate, with a lot of snow, and we should be freezing right now, yet, instead of winter coats, we have to get our light jackets out of a wardrobe, because we're not freezing at -10°C as usual, or even -20°C, now we're having even +15°C at daytime!!! That's more like a spring or a fall, not the winter that I got used to being a kid. :(

@DS Just call me Karen because I want to speak to the manager too!

I guess on the bright side it's gonna be warm. If I'm not getting a white Christmas, I'll settle for a warm one where I can go walking around outside.

Snow in Dubrovnik is a very rare occasion. We only had snow for days, never more than couple of days in a row, and it was not that much snow at all. ”I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..." @Zagi87 Da se malo mijenjamo, ha? Šta kažeš na to? Ti dođi malo ovamo dolje, do sunčanog i toplog Dubrovnika, a ja ću načas skočiti do tog tvog hladnog i snježnog Zagreba. Jel' može tako? :)

For our friends, now in English: Should we swap places? What do you say to that? You get yourself down to warm and sunny Dubrovnik, and I'll just pay a visit to this cold and snowy city of Zagreb of yours for a change. Is that okay with you? :)

Guess what, unlike my friend, Dominik, or Zagi87 to you, I *do* live by the coast of the Adriatic Sea. You guys ever heard of Dubrovnik before? It's the most beautiful town in the world to me. Come and see it for yourself, if you don't believe me!
