Easily. And normally I dislike mean characters, but Vidia is always portrayed as wrong, so at least it's not like the movies are advocating her behavior. I don't think she's bland at all, but then again I've read the books more than I've seen the movies, but still, I think her personality is there. Tinkerbell is boring and another "spunky free spirit" type we already have a ton of. I dislike her in the old movie but at least she was interesting and unique.
I'm kind of getting sick of you dissing a character because their free-spirited, spunky, tomboyish, or rebellious. You make me kind of despise the passive heroines because of how you always rant about this!
well, I'm tired of the more passive, girly ones always getting hated on (that's the whole reason I started disliking the spunky ones). I wouldn't even mind the other characters if they just weren't so overused all the time anymore and always pitted against the others as better. and sometimes they are better to me- like Anna over Elsa. however, I don't think being rebellious is usually right. That's just against my beliefs as a Christian.
I don't know if you've noticed, but the passive heroine has been used MUCH more than the spunky heroine. Keep in mind that the passive heroine has been around in literature MUCH longer than the spunky and heroic heroine has. That's something that didn't come until mid/late 1900s. Before than it was always passive heroines for hundreds of years. I don't diss characters because they are passive, I judge for who they are as a character. Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz is FAR from a spunky badass heroine but she is also one of my favorite fictional characters, top 10 actually. If people didn't rebel than we wouldn't have the rights that we have today. Look at the American revolution. Or even look at the bible and how Moses had to rebel against Pharaoh to set his people free. Rebellion is a good thing, you just don't want to do too much of it. Too much of anything isn't good.
