Damn, making my 상단, 맨 위로 10 animated 영화 was harder than I thought! I have a feeling that I left out some, and there are some I would like to include but it's been a while that I haven't seen them, so the 더 많이 appropriate way to describe this list is a rough draft of my 가장 좋아하는 animated 영화 xD It's just really hard to make a favorites list and give proper explanations. There many animated 영화 that I love, but there only a couple that have stolen my 심장 💜

10) The Nightmare Before Christmas

Starting this list is my 가장 좋아하는 크리스마스 (or Halloween) movie! I'm not a 팬 of stop motion animation, but this movie is brilliant and has an excellent soundtrack. I 사랑 how it has an unconventional style and setting. The main characters and movie are still great! I can't help, but feel bad for Jack when 크리스마스 ended up being a nightmare. I wish I could elaborate 더 많이 on why The Nightmare Before 크리스마스 is so great because it's seriously a great movie! I actually haven't seen this movie until I was a bit older, but it gives me feels!

9) Lilo and Stitch

Here we have a story of two sisters before Frozen. Unlike most 디즈니 films, this one actually takes place in a modern setting, yet seems completely timeless if 당신 ask me. First of all I got to say, Lilo is not just one of my 가장 좋아하는 디즈니 kids, but one of my 가장 좋아하는 animated kids in general. I 사랑 how weird she is and how she wanted to punish her ''friends'' . I was a pretty strange little kid too. Hell, I still am and I always have a thing for the weird characters! I also 사랑 Nani! 당신 just can't help but root for her when she's struggling to take care of her little sister 또는 else she'd have to give up her only family left to a social worker. When I was younger I didn't understand the situation, but now I get to see the sad story behind Nani and Lilo, and why Lilo is the way she is. (Also her "friends'' are little monsters!) There's a lot 더 많이 to the movie besides the a great adventure of aliens landing in Hawaii. Speaking of aliens, I absolutely 사랑 Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley! They are so fun and entertaining! Stitch reminds me of a blue pug, which I think is cute. Lilo and Stitch is a fun, yet emotional movie!

8) Despicable Me

Awww I 사랑 this movie so much! It's one of the greater newer ones! It's so sweet, funny, family friendly, and surprisingly thoughtful! It also stars Steve Carrell who I think is hilarious. Idk why but that pyramid scene in the beginning never fails to crack me up, there's something about that little boy that makes me laugh. My 가장 좋아하는 character would have to be Agnes, she's adorable and the sweetest little thing! The minions are also pretty cute in their own weird way. The developing relationship between Gru and the three sisters is really charming.

7) Tarzan

Tarzan is always a joy to watch! Did 당신 know that the animator,Glen Keane put himself in Tarzan when he touched Jane's hands for the first time as a reference to touching his daughter's hand for the first time? That just shows how much emotion and depth was put into that scene! Also the whole concept of Kerchak's perception of Tarzan being the ''replacement'' for the first ape baby that was killed is just intense! I just 사랑 it when animated 영화 can leave such emotional power that can appeal to adults just as equally as kids. *Sigh* We need 더 많이 animated 영화 like these nowadays. Also it takes place in a rainforest, and I 사랑 rain forests!

6) The Emperor's New Groove

Oh, yes! This movie is awesome and always makes me smile! It's hilarious and I 사랑 the Incan setting! There are so many funny moments throughout the movie that stand out to me. I don't know about you, but I think Kuzco and Pacha make a fantastic duo! Even though Kuzco is incredibly narcissistic, he's still an enjoyable character! I think the reason why this movie is superb is pretty self explanatory.

5) The Aristocats
Out of the the classic animated movies, my 가장 좋아하는 without a doubt, would have to be the Aristocats! After all these years, I still can't get over that song, "Everybody wants to be cat''. Even though I'm 더 많이 of a dog person myself, this is my 가장 좋아하는 디즈니 animal movie hands down. I 사랑 how the sketchy 애니메이션 goes well with the old fashioned Paris setting in the 1910, it makes me want to visit France! I'm not really a 팬 of old movies, but the Aristocats is so timeless! I think it's just as enjoyable as the modern movies! I 사랑 seeing the interaction between the kitten siblings! My uncle joked that when he saw the Aristocats cover that I was Toulouse (even though I don't act like him) and that my sister was Marie (even though she doesn't act like her) lol! My 가장 좋아하는 character would have to be the old guy, I just can't help, but laugh every time I see him. Oh and another thing is that I 사랑 how 고양이 have different accents (British, Russian, Chinese, French, American). It reminds me of the Allies xD Sometimes the best animated 영화 don't have to have special meanings 또는 development, they can be just be really cute.

4) Mulan

I'm pretty sure a handful of 당신 saw this coming, but seriously, 뮬란 really is something special. While I think it's admirable that a village girl in ancient China became a bad 나귀, 엉덩이 warrior, it's not the only reason why I 사랑 it so much! First of all it's really entertaining and I 사랑 the soundtrack! Also I 사랑 seeing 뮬란 being socially awkward, I have a thing for socially awkward characters. I thought the scene with the matchmaker was really fun and one of the most epic scenes I've ever seen is when China bows down to Mulan. It just makes my want to cry inside. It's definitely one of those movies, that will have a special place in my heart.

3) All 개 go to Heaven
Forget Anastasia. This is the best Jon Bluth movie, at least for me it is. It's so underrated, but so brilliant. Even though it's considered an animated comedy for kids, it's pretty dark and appealing for adults as well. I really like it when animated 영화 for audiences for any age have a bit of darkness to them. I mean seriously guys, this movie covers the topic of heaven and hell. Also Charlie's nightmare and "Charlie, 당신 will never come back!'' I know that any movie where an animal is the protagonist is humanized to some degree, but Charlie really seems like a human inside a dog's body. He pretty much cheated death and because of that, he will face some serious consequences. Charlie's change of 심장 was a genuine development. It's not everyday in an animated family film where 당신 have a have a loose protagonist that doesn't exactly fall under the good alignment, but a 더 많이 neutral one. I wish ADGTH would get 더 많이 사랑 because it really does get to your head and have 당신 thinking about morality.

2) Spirited Away

Spirited Away deserves every praise it gets! When I first saw it, I was blown away! I'm a big 팬 of Ghibli films, so of course this movie is great! One small detail I noticed about Ghibli films is that the facial expressions and movements that the characters make seem to imitate the real ones. (That's just a small thing I noticed.) The imagination behind this is ridiculous! The 애니메이션 is breathtaking! All the characters in there are really interesting. I find it really amusing how Chihiro starts out as a really whiny kid that annoys people and has a hard time adjusting to the spirit house. Everything that happens in there is amazing. 당신 don't have to be an 아니메 팬 to 사랑 this movie! How much I 사랑 this movie is beyond words! It's amazing, perfection, and follows really closely behind my #1.

1) Beauty and the Beast

I just 사랑 this movie to bits! I remember the first time I saw it, I fell in 사랑 with it. Belle has become my 가장 좋아하는 디즈니 Princess ever since. The 애니메이션 behind this movie is GORGEOUS, especially in the ballroom scene. The narration in the beginning is really stood out to me and the ending is really beautiful. I 사랑 the French Renaissance setting too. I noticed that settings play a big role in what I love. Beauty and the Beast is indeed a masterpiece and will remain my 가장 좋아하는 animated movie!

 I guess he's not a 팬 of ballets 또는 1980's animes.
I guess he's not a fan of ballets or 1980's animes.
Ever since Doug Walker did his review of The 백조 Princess, I've noticed 더 많이 and 더 많이 people around the internet accuse this movie of being "Disney-lite," "a 디즈니 knock-off," etc.

Problem is, the reasons they give are either something that almost EVERY animated movie has done since Snow White (singing, princesses, animal companions, etc) 또는 it was already in the original fairy tale-inspired ballet written and composed 의해 Tchaikovsky decades before 디즈니 ever got into animation.

Quick Backstory: The 백조 Princess is based on the ballet link, again, written and composed 의해 Tchaikovsky. And...
