So I'm not exactly sure what the time period for this one is. Mid-season 3 I guess. Hopefully there aren't any factual flaws. Hope 당신 guys like it XD
Brooke Davis was spending a relaxing 일 alone with her boyfriend, Lucas Scott, in his room, her making sketches of future Clothes Over Bros designs and him 읽기 a new book he just picked up, when he excused himself. “Alright hurry back.” She said while giving him a good 헤로인 on his backside as he left the room. Brooke smiled to herself as she stretched out wide on Lucas’s 침대 and a mysterious small brown box on the nightstand caught her eye. If anything killed Brooke Davis, it was curiosity. She instantly pulled herself over to the side of the 침대 and looked into the slightly open box. The first thing that caught her eye was something small and red. A big smile found its way on to the brunette’s face as she skillfully pulled out a feather that resembled those on the costume she wore for a party at Tric. “I can’t believe he kept this feather…” Brooke whispered to herself. As she went to put the feather back, she noticed a small yellow bottle and, yet again letting her curiosity get the best of her, picked that out of the box. As she read the bottle, it felt as if all the air left her lungs and the world started to spin much faster than it should.
“Brooke? Are 당신 okay?” Lucas finally returned from his trip to the 부엌, 주방 and bathroom to find his girlfriend with her back to him, hunched over the side of the bed.
Brooke looked up at him with tears pooling in her eyes, threating to fall at any moment. “Lucas… What is this?” She said as she held up the small bottle.
Instead of answering the question, Lucas became defensive. “Did 당신 go through my stuff?! What the hell Brooke?”
“Lucas!” Brooke nearly screamed out of shock, pain and anger. “What are these pills for?” She added as she softened her tone. She got off the 침대 and made her way towards the only boy she ever loved, scared to death to know the answer. Lucas softened as well as he saw the tears start to fall down her face and felt some of his own coming.
“I’m… I’m sick Brooke. I have HCM.” He whispered to her when she finally stood in front of him. Brooke instantly collapsed into Lucas and held him as tight as she could. They stood in those positions, clasped tight on to one another, for a while before Brooke realized something and turned rigid.
“Lucas… You’ve been playing every game this season.”
Lucas sighed as he said, “Yeah…”
“I thought having HCM meant no 더 많이 basketball. I thought it was too dangerous.”
Lucas held Brooke 의해 the shoulders as he sternly said, “I can handle it. I’ve got it under control.”
“You can handle it? Lucas 당신 could die!” Brooke exclaimed while she pulled out of his embrace. “You’re supposed to be the smart one for Christ’s sake. How could 당신 be so selfish?!”
“Selfish? So doing what makes me happy is selfish?”
“No Luke. Lying and risking your life over a game is selfish!”
“A game?! 농구 is my life Brooke. I would think 당신 of all people would understand that.”
“No Lucas. 농구 is a part of your life. But what about the other parts? What about your mom and Haley and Nathan? Peyton, Skillz, Junk, Fergie, Mouth! What about me, Lucas? 당신 didn’t even bother to tell me! Can 당신 even imagine how that makes me feel? We’re supposed to be honest with each other! Things were supposed to be different this time, but here we are again, fighting over your lies!” The tears were falling freely and constantly now. Lucas 로스트 all the fight he had in him at the sight before him and the words she said. He sat on his 침대 and waited a moment, trying to gain his composure, before speaking.
He looked up into Brooke’s eyes as he said, “I’m sorry Brooke. It’s just… The thought of losing basketball, the one thing I’ve always had, it just really scared me.”
“I’m scared too.” Brooke stated as she sat on the 침대 다음 to him. Lucas put his head on her shoulder and Brooke began to stroke his hair.
After a while Lucas broke the silence, “I wish I had told 당신 earlier. I needed this.”
“Need what?”
“You.”
Brooke swallowed back 더 많이 tears, happy ones this time. “I saw the feather. I can’t believe 당신 kept it.”
Lucas chuckled, “I guess I needed a piece of 당신 의해 my heart.”
Brooke shook her head as she said, “I 사랑 you, Lucas Scott.”
“I 사랑 당신 too.” Then Lucas looked up into his 가장 좋아하는 hazel eyes, “Pretty Girl.”
As they shared a short yet passionate kiss, they both knew Lucas would get through this. If for any reason, because they were in it together.
