I just thought of something:
Ted's mom is shown just like Robin. She and Ted's dad got divorced and Robin and Ted broke up, because of the same reason, they wanted different things.

Sorry to post on here AGAIN...but I got into a major ship war today! I went to lunch with 4 of my friends. 3 of us were HIMYM 팬 and three of us were not.
