The 다음 morning, Korra spent her time with Pema and cleaning the house while her 프렌즈 went into city. Korra didn't even acknowledge Mako at breakfast. Mako left with a guilty look on his face. Not only has he been lying to his girlfriend about his feelings for Korra and the kiss, he's been causing Korra pain and now has pushed her away. He just didn't know what to do. He fell for both girls. Each is special in their own way. Either one he chose he wouldn't be happy because there would be someone getting hurt, and Mako didn't want that.

Korra still has that stone look on her face. Pema has worried about her for quite some time. She notices her facial expression is because her crush and his girlfriend are now living with her, and intends to hide 또는 push away her emotions. As Pema is washing a dish and Korra is stacking them away in the cupboard, Pema makes an attempt at a pep talk.

"[sigh] ya know, 당신 keep the face up and it'll stay that way."Pema said nonchalantly not even looking at her. Korra doesn't respond and Pema is especially worried now. She drops her dish and rag and walks over to Korra.

"Korra blocking Mako from your mind won't make 당신 feel any better than 당신 do when 당신 see him with her. Trust me I know what I'm talking about."Pema says while putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Korra shrugs it off.

"Thanks for trying to cheer me up but this isn't like what happened with Tenzin. He was with a girl that was like me! He even said so himself that I'm like Bei Fong! And he left her for you! And who do 당신 think Mako will choose if our problem is like what yours was?! He'll go for Asami, they'll get married and live in a big mansion surrounded 의해 their children and grandchildren while I'm a 쓴, 쓰라린 middle aged woman back at the Southern Water Tribe and I'm just a distant memory, 또는 fling to Mako!"Korra shouted panting. She had so much aggression her palms were on fire. Pema's 심장 broke seeing this girl she looked at as a daughter suffer.

Korra soon realized what she said and dropped her head in shame. Her hands were free of fire. Korra sighs.

"I'm sorry Pema. I'm just, so tired of this. I have 더 많이 important things to think about than my uh lack of 사랑 life." Pema hugs the broken young 아바타 and holds her tight.

"Korra, 당신 may be the 아바타 but you're still a girl as well. 당신 have normal feelings any girl would have. You're not above it. It's not shameful to be thinking about this. And as for your future theory, that's never going to happen. Just because Tenzin chose what he did doesn't mean Mako will. Tenzin is a monk, Mako is a young fighter. They have different tastes. 당신 can't base your life over someone elses."Pema said comforting her.

"You're not talking about just your 사랑 life now are you?"Korra asks lifting her head up and breaking the embrace.

Pema laughs lightly and shakes her head. "You also can't try to live your life trying to follow what Tenzin's father did. 당신 lived in different times, at different ages, with different personalities. It's impossible for 당신 to do so. He was a 12 년 old airbender. He was able to connect with the spirit world because he was surrounded 의해 monks and grew up in a temple. He already achieved such a connection. 당신 are a fiery southern water tribe teenager. In situations where 아바타 Aang would play a prank, 당신 would take a chance to fight instead of play. 당신 are 더 많이 physical than spiritual. 당신 will have a harder time reaching the 아바타 state and airbending but, that doesn't mean its impossible. 당신 are a fighter like he was and 당신 can achieve anything."Pema ended her pep talk and Korra felta little lighter.

Everyone expects her be 더 많이 successful than Aang. She knows that she can never surpass Aang, but she can be just as great as Aang. And thanks to Pema she feels a little 더 많이 confident.

Korra cracks a small smile."Thanks Pema. I gotta go. Tenzin's waiting."She says and walks away.

"Oh and Korra."Pema shouts out before Korra leaves. Korra stops and turns.

"Don't worry about Mako. I've started to learn a thing 또는 two about men and I don't think 당신 should count yourself out yet. 당신 can get him"Pema says and chuckles with a wink and walks away.

Korra smiles and slightly blushes. In only a short while, Pema was able to bring Korra back on her feet. "No wonder Tenzin loves you"Korra says when she is out of sight and runs over to her airbending master.

[i will bring up Mako in the city with Bolin and Asami, maybe if I get an idea. But the actual plot is a serious one. I just wanna get this off my chest.]

The whole Korrasami 토론 seems to be a hot topic amid the LoK fandom right now so I thought I'd give my input on it.

For starts, my major reason for liking Korrasami is that it is such a huge step in western animation. We finally have some LGTB representation in 'children's' media. And this isn't just some show with a small fanbase--the 아바타 franchise is huge and widely popular--so for this show of all shows to have canon bisexuals is pretty cool in my opinion. I do understand that not everyone is comfortable with homosexuality but this is a pro-Korrasami 기사 so I won't get into that....

Kuvira’s feet sounded rhythmically along the floor. One crossing over the other and then again and again.

The echoes of footfall a reminiscent of things passed…

Of a synchronized dance.

Her dance was lonely now.

She assumed it’d remain that way for quite some time. Her soldiers weren’t exactly fond of dancing, and the ones that were…well they weren’t graceful to say the least.

Kuvira remembered all too clearly dancing with a group. She considered them to be 프렌즈 of some sort. They were a close group and their dance never out of sync. And in a way she missed them. But she had to...

I have a very hard time liking Korra. I find her to be stubborn, selfish, irrational, overly aggressive, pigheaded, immature, and obstinate. This list of adjectives can keep going, but I digress.

When LOK started, I was somewhat excited for a female avatar; my feminist side was all for a powerful female lead that would lead the 아바타 world to a time of peace. However, to my dismay, Korra was a strong and powerful character, but her other characteristics and personality flaws overthrew her potential as a character.

In Book 1, Korra basically does whatever the hell she wants because "she is...
