I had just gotten 집 from work and was ready to be greeted 의해 the 사랑 of my life. But when I walked in the door, she was no where to be found. I looked in the den, kitchen, living room, everywhere.

"Katie? Baby?" I called.

I suddenly heard crying from my bedroom. I recognized Katie's cries and I ran into the bedroom, hoping she was not hurt. I burst through the door, a pistol in my hand, ready to see if anyone was hurting Katie. But I was wrong. She was sitting on my bed, a box of tissues lied 다음 to her. She had been crying for a while. I looked at the TV to see a mother 늑대 playing with her pups. It soon made sense, Katie missed her family, 또는 so I thought.

"Katie? Whats wrong?" I asked.

"Hey baby, oh dont worry about me. Im fine." she said.

"Chris.... I look on this TV, see the mother 늑대 playing with her pups. I wish I could be playing with pups." she said.

"What are 당신 saying Katie?" I asked.

"Chris.... I want to have pups." Katie said, "I want to be a mother."

I was SHOCKED. Katie wants to mother a pup. Well, I have always wanted a son. But we can't biologically have one, our genes wont match.

"Katie, thats great, but we can't. Our genes wont match. Even if I did get 당신 pregnant, the pup would most likely die in the womb and 당신 would have a miscarriage." I said.

Katie began to cry harder. I hugged her close and turned off the TV. I kissed her on her beautiful lips and nuzzled her face with my nose.

"Katie, well find a way." I said.

"I know we will." Katie said.

With that, we made out, which is the best way to calm Katie down when she is sad. I 사랑 her to death and will do anything to calm her down. Now I do wonder how we would have a pup? Then I decided to visit my ranger friend.

That morning I went to see him and explained the situation to him. He smiled and took me to a reserve for abandoned 늑대 pups and said I could take one home. I found a little boy who looks like Katie. He even had her eyes. I scooped him up and he licked my cheek.

"Hi there." he said.

"Hey little guy. Im here to take 당신 집 to a new family." I said.

"Cool, my name is Xero 의해 the way." he said.

"Nice name, Im chris, your new father." I said.

"Daddy?" Xero said.

"Yeah, daddy." I said, nuzzling him.

After thanking my 프렌즈 at the station, I put Xero in my lap as I drove 집 to Katie.

"What's mommy like?" he asked.

"She is the most beautiful wolf. I fell in 사랑 with her when I took care of her wounded paw. She wanted a pup badly, some one to love. Since humans and 늑대 cant have pups, I decided to adopt you." I said.

"Aw, thats sweet daddy." Xero said.

"Thanks kiddo." I said.

We pulled in to my driveway and I carried Xero in my pocket. I walked to the bedroom to see Katie kinda moping around.

"Hey Katie, remember when I said we will find a way?" I asked.

"Yeah why?" Katie asked.

I told her to close her eyes and I told Xero to be quiet. He nodded and I took him out of my pocket and placed him in front of Katie.

"Open them." I said.

Katie opened her eyes, which immediately watered up. Xero trotted up to her, wagging his tail, whimpering for his mother. Katie had tears of Joy.

"His name is Xero." I said.

Katie then touched noses with the pup and nuzzled him.

"Mommy." Xero said.

Katie teared up at "mommy" she nuzzled and licked the pups face.

"Oh hi there little one." she said.

I was so happy. We have a son now. Hes beautiful and he is ours. I felt a tear in my eye, realizing that I was a dad now. Katie and I both hugged Xero, who soon fell asleep 다음 to Katie.

"Ill protect 당신 Xero." Katie said.

Katie then looked up at me.

"I 사랑 you." she said.

"I 사랑 당신 too." I said 키싱 her.

I looked at my son, and with tears of joy I said.

"Welcome to the Family, Xero"
