Last summer I went to Los Angeles to stay with my cousin for a few weeks. One afternoon we were having lunch in a nice restaurant in the centre of the town when my cousin got a call on her mobile phone and went outside to talk. While she was speaking to her friend,I suddenly noticed a man in a black hat who was sitting at the 다음 table. It was the actor Johnny Depp!He was alone, and I decided to take my chance. So I got up and went to his table:'Excuse me,could I have my 사진 taken with you?'I asked. He said yes,so I stopped a waitress who was passing 의해 and gave her my camera. She took the 사진 of me and Johnny,I thanked them both, and then I returned to my table. When my cousin came back,I smiled.'Why are 당신 looking so pleased with yourself?'she asked.
'I had my 사진 taken with Johnny Depp.'
'Johnny Depp?Where is he?'
'He's sitting over there.Look!'
She turned around to look and then started to laugh.
'That's not Johnny Depp!'I looked at the man in the black hat-he was laughing too.
Not long 이전 people believed that in the future we would work less, have 더 많이 free time, and be 더 많이 relaxed. But sadly this has not happened.Today we work harder, work longer hours, and are 더 많이 stressed than 10 years ago.We walk faster, talk faster, and sleep less than 이전 generations. And although we are obsessed with machines which save us time,we have less free time than our parents and grandparents had.But what is this doing to our health? An American journalist James Gleick in a new book,Faster:the acceleration of just about everything, says that people who live in cities are suffering from...

I work for a magazine, which was doing an 기사 about British language learners. As an experiment, they asked me to learn a completely new language for one month. Then I had to go to the country and do some"tests"to see if I could"survive"in different situations.I decided to learn Polish because my great-grandmother was Polish and I have some relatives there.I can already speak French and Spanish quite well but Polish isn't a latin-based language so I knew it would be completely different.

I did a one-month intensive course at a language school in Birmingham.I thought I was good at languages before...

This is for those who have just begun writing, 또는 for those who need helpful advice. I hope this 기사 helps you.

1) Spelling and Grammar

Spelling and grammar is the first thing 당신 worry about. If there are many spelling/grammatical errors, the story doesn't flow very well. 당신 don't have to be an expert, but 당신 at least should have a dictionary nearby and know the basic rules of grammar. You'll pick up on 더 많이 the 더 많이 당신 write.

2) Know Your Topic

First and foremost, after spelling and grammar, 당신 must know what you're 글쓰기 about. And I don't just mean a topic in general. For example,...

When 당신 Have To Choose Between 2 Possibilities:

1.Take your time. The most important thing is not to make a decision in a hurry.

2.Make a list of the positive and negative points for both opinions. Then decide which points are most important and compare the two lists.

3.If 당신 ask other people for their advice, don't ask 더 많이 than 1 또는 2.If 당신 ask a lot of people, this will probably confuse you.

4.Use your imagination to help you.Imagine yourself in both situations. How do 당신 feel?Relaxed 또는 stressed?

5.When you've made a decision, wait a bit before 당신 tell other people,to see how 당신 feel.If 당신 feel comfortable with your decision after an hour, you have probably made the right decision.

6.Finally,remember that 당신 can't have everything.Choosing one of two possibilities always means that 당신 can't have the one 당신 didn't choose. And it's impossible to always make the right decision!
