hi guys! sorry its taken me so long to write.. but heres the deal for this story. Sk8bordnewmoon won a fanfic contest and got to choose someone to write a story of her choice... and this is it! it was supposed to be a one shot, so i have to apologize becaust i've never been good at One shots... and this ends VERY badly.. but i hope 당신 like it hon!! :)


    I stared down at Renesmee’s shining face. She was so cute. She was nearing seven now. But she had the face of an angel. I twisted one of her curls around my finger and grinned down at her. She giggled and played with her doll. Something felt different every time I was around her. I stilled loved her dearly, but it was like a part of me was closing itself off, waiting for something. When she was first born, it was like I couldn’t 곰 to let her out of my sight. Now I still loved being with her, but it wasn’t a need. My 심장 felt bruised, like it had when Bella had choose him. 또는 when I had learned that she had been turning into one of them. I was still a little bitter, but I was coping much better. I could actually look at the Bloodsucker-err, Edward without wanting to rip his throat out. On a good day. Something buzzed in my pocket, I jumped and looked around. Nessie laid her small hand on my cheek, showing my the picture of the Cullen’s giving me the cell phone as a gift. I forgot I had it most of the time.
“ Thanks Ness.”
I pulled it out of my pocket quickly, groaning when I saw my Dad in the caller ID screen. It was lousy when 당신 didn’t want to be found. I learned that with a phone attached to your hip there was no place to hide.
“ Yeah.” I answered gruffly.
“ Jake, good. I caught you.”
I rolled my eyes at my dad’s voice. Of course he caught me. Where was I going? He really liked this while cell phone thing. I was always in reach. I wisely refrained from speaking my mind. He might be in a wheelchair, but he could still whop on me when he felt like it.
“ Uh huh.”
“ I need 당신 to come home.”
I grimaced as Nessie took my hand and tugged on me.
“ Why Dad? I’m kinda busy.” I tugged her to me, wrapping my arms around her small waist. She smiled up at me and snuggled into my chest, brushing her 인형 hair. I rested my chin on the 상단, 맨 위로 of her head. She was so little.
“ Jake.” His voice sounded kinda harsh. I frowned. That was weird. “I need 당신 here.”
Man, he wasn’t letting me out of this one.
“ Sure, sure. I’ll be there.”
“Good. Now.”
He hung up with a click.
I frowned and glanced back down at Nessie. She had fallen asleep, her little face looking angelic. Was it wrong for me to wish she was older? I wanted someone who I could show some 사랑 to, not just act like big brother.
I carried her slowly to her room, laying her on her bed. 의해 the time I got downstairs, Bella and Edward were coming through the door, returning from hunting. I was glad that my 심장 only gave a little lurch, not a huge kick like it used to.
“ Leaving so soon?”
I glanced at Edward, trying to judge if he was being sarcastic 또는 not.
“Yeah. Dad needs my help. Nessie’s upstairs sleeping.” I tossed over my shoulder as I went out the door. I didn’t reserve my good manners for him. Especially since he could just read my mind anyway.
I climbed into my Rabbit and a while later I was back on the Res, pulling into my driveway. I noticed a Ford Escape was parked in the driveway. Strange. Usually only the other guys from the pack came over, and they just shifted and ran. No cars were involved.
I climbed the porch steps and threw open the door with a little 더 많이 force than necessary. The door creaked loudly and I winced. That was a little rough.
“ Ah, Jake. You’re here. Good!”
I frowned at my dad as he wheeled himself into the room. He was cheery. Too cheery.
“ Whats goin on Dad?” I walked to few paces to the refrigerator and pulled out a pop.
“ We have guests Jake.” He whispered in my direction.
“ Cool.”
“Uh, Mr. McDaniel, let me introduce 당신 to my son, Jacob.”
I shook the other man’s hand, not really paying attention. My eyes fell on another figure, turned away from me. It was a girl, probably around my age, staring at one of the dream catchers I had made when I was bored. I walked slowly toward her, keeping my eyes on her small frame. She was pretty short, but then, everyone was short compared to me. But she wasn’t fat, and she wasn’t one of those little scrawny things. She was…perfect. Her blonde hair was long, almost reaching her hips. I wondered what color her eyes were.
“ What do 당신 think?”
She jumped and whirled, and flashing blue eyes looked up at me.
“ Do 당신 just go around Scaring people like that?” She hissed, jabbing a finger into my chest. Oh my. Was she intimidating. I tried not to crack a smile. I wasn’t used to something so small having so much spunk. I glanced around, seeing that my dad and her dad had left the room. When I glanced back down at her, she was trying to rub her finger without me noticing. Hmm. I guess poking a werewolf would make 당신 liable for getting hurt.
“ Is your finger ok?” I started to reach down to take her hand but she jerked it back to her body.
“ Yeah, I’m fine.” She snapped and dropped her hands to her sides. Her little head had to tilt all the way back to look me in the face. Her eyes slowly raked up my body before looking me in the eyes. I blinked. Wow. Her eyes were stunning. A dark blue, they threatened to knock me off my feet. That’s when I finally acknowledged the feeling trying to rise in me. I was attracted to her. Very attracted. But I had seen other hot girls before. This was different. Way different. My 심장 was thumping almost painfully in my chest. This was almost like…The first time I had seen Nessie. When I thought my world had come to a stop. But this time it was stronger. It suddenly felt like this girl was my reason for breathing. And I was ready to do anything for her.
“I’m Jacob Black.” I held my hand out to her.
“ Lilly McDaniel.”
I bit the instead of my cheek to keep from saying 더 많이 as her small hand slid into mine. Good grief. She was so little, but I had a feeling she didn’t need anyone to protect her. Which sucked because right now all I wanted to do was tuck her against my chest and 덮개, 랩 my arms around her. I finally forced my hand to let go of hers and I nodded toward the kitchen.
“ 당신 want something to drink?”
“Sure.”
I forced myself to stop staring at her face. She was just beautiful. I opened the fridge and peered around inside.
“ Grape, Dr. Pepper, Uhh. That’s about it I think.”
She giggled behind me.
“Grape will be fine.”
I turned and handed it to her, jerking when our hands touched. She looked confused, but I couldn’t tell if she had felt the same attraction zing up my arm like I had. I watched as she opened the can and took a swallow. I stared, transfixed at her creamy throat and elegant neck. I swallowed hard and ran a hand through my hair. Man, I had it (bad).
“ 당신 wanna go outside on the porch? it’s a little 냉각기 there.” I asked slowly, anticipating her answer.
She turned and unleashed a killer smile.
“ Sure! I would 사랑 to.”
I led the way out to the porch, settling myself on one of the steps. She settled in beside me, and I inhaled as her arm brushed mine. She smelled like sunshine. Which was great considering Forks rained most of the time. I glanced at her, feeling shy. I hadn’t really had very much experience around girls. I had only messed around with some of the girls from school, nothing serious. And then I had kissed Bella that one time… I cut my thoughts off. No need to ruin the moment. When I looked back over at Lilly, she was watching me, her head tilted to the side adorably.
“ I, uh-” I stared at her deep blue eyes. I decided to just be honest.
“ I haven’t had very much experience with girls.” I admitted softly, my stomach churning uneasily.
She smiled softly, her full lips tilting up.
uh oh.. Jake, man. Look away.
But I couldn’t heed my own advice. I stared at those full, inviting lips. I didn’t even realized I was leaning so close to her until I felt her sweet breath 팬 across my face. I straightened quickly.
“ Sorry.” I mumbled hoarsely.
“For what?” She asked, laughing softly.
“Well, I was just.. Uh, so close.”
“I didn’t mind.”
I glanced over at her quickly, almost jumping in surprise when I saw her face just a few inches away from mine.
“ I, Uh.” I started but her finger glided up to land on my lips.
“Shh.”
Then she leaned 앞으로 and gave me the sweetest 키스 I had ever had in my life.
I could just barely taste the hint of the sweet 포도 soda she had been drinking from her soft lips pressed to mine.
I felt like my head was no longer connected to my body. I was floating, just because Lilly’s lips were pressed to mine.
“ Wow.” I said softly as her lips finally left mine.
She grinned at me and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
“ I never asked, what are 당신 and your dad doing here?”
She glanced over at me, still grinning.
“ We moved in 다음 door.”
My 심장 stuttered. Did I just hear her right? I smiled back.
