To me, one of the hardest things to do is the begginning. How exaculy do we start it off? What do we say? I'm not a complete genius on writing, but I have written my fair share of stories. Then thrown them away and started over. Then throw them away and start over again. 당신 could say i've kind of become gifted in the art of the first chapter. Here's an 기사 to help my fellow writers out!
1. Start Off With Someone Saying Something!
This would be what my annoying language art teacher called a "Grabber." Get the readers attention 의해 introducing a character through dialouge. For example;
"Hey Caleb, do 당신 need a ride?" Caleb 모건 turned to see his friend Chikara Wang cruising beside him in his car. Chikara was really the only one of his 프렌즈 who knew how to drive. He himself was stuck walking.
"Sure, why not?" He climbed into the passenger side beside him.
2. The Good 'Ol 설명 Scene!
Every now and then, we come across the decription scene. A paragraph of "It was a bright and sunny morning. Birds were chirping in the sky." While it's not my 가장 좋아하는 way to go, some people manage to make it work. Try describing the town 또는 where the story takes place, 또는 the building your characters are currently in. School? Thier house? The bowling alley?
3. The "Code Red" Alert!
Try to get the reader's attention 의해 saying something urgent. For example, in Maximum Ride, the main chacter, Max, starts off 의해 saying your lives are in danger if 당신 don't read her book. The book is about a group of children who were genetic experiments. So if your trying to breach to a teen/pre-teen audience, it really hits close to home. I wanted to include the opening on this 기사 but I couldn't find it. Poo! Many times, these "Code Reds" could be used as prolouges.
4. The Action Scene!
The action scene. It's a part of the story where something really big is happening. Usually a battle 또는 major drama. Take the first chapter of Maximum Ride for instance!
The funny thing about facing imminent death is that it really snaps everything else into perspective. Take right now, for instance.
Run! Come on, run! 당신 know 당신 can do it.
I gulped deep lungfuls of air. My brain was on hyperdrive; I was racing for my life. My one goal was to escape. Nothing else mattered.
My arms being scratched to ribbons 의해 a briar I’d run through? No biggie.
My bare feet hitting every sharp rock, rough root, pointed stick? Not a problem.
My lungs aching for air? I could deal.
As long as I could put as much distance as possible between me and the Erasers.
Yeah, Erasers. Mutants: half-men, half-wolves, usually armed, always bloodthirsty. Right now they were after me.
See? That snaps everything into perspective.
Run. You’re faster than they are. 당신 can outrun anyone.
The Dream Sequence!
Now, picture that same scene above and picture the next. Max sitting upright in her bed. It was all a dream. The dream sequence is commonly used in today's media. 당신 see it all the time in 텔레비전 and movies. It could also be used to start off the 초 chapter!
5. Introduce The Character!
Another way to start off, introduce your characters. This way the reader will get a first hand experience of what your characters are like, and maybe gain a little 더 많이 information about them.
Do your Own Thing!
It's always important to do your own thing, no matter what other people think. Your story. Your mind. Your imagination. Nothing in my silly little 기사 should tell 당신 how to write correctly. It's merely here to give 당신 ideas. There's no right 또는 wrong way to write a story.
With this last little word of encouragement...I bid 당신 farwell. Happy writing:)

Serena
He didn't seem... mad. Like he should have been. Like he had every right to be.
He stopped maybe a meter away from me. I glanced up, and saw the same look of indecision I had seen on his face the first day.
I had no idea what I was supposed to do. My life is not a perfect little story where happy endings are mandatory.
I didn't expect myself to sink to the floor against the 벽 and begin crying. There just weren't words to say what I wanted to.
I didn't expect him to sit in front of me and put his hands on my shoulders. He forced me to to look up at him, and he said, "Tell me."

i would end up here with you
i was a restless wanderer on a distant path
당신 were a lonely dreamer with a broken laugh
i would go anywhere the road would lead
my hopes and dreams is all that i would need
i don't need a house 또는 fancy cars
i would rather sleep underneath the stars
당신 did'nt have much to call your own
but what a lovely smile on your face shown
당신 said your chance at 사랑 had past 당신 의해
i told i'm here so dont 당신 cry
our lives were like the pieces of a broken heart
now that we're together what a life could start
there was magic in the air that night
everything was moving at the speed of light
당신 were like my juliet and i your romeo
당신 사랑 me i 사랑 당신 thats all i need to know
no longer will 당신 dream of 사랑 thats true
no longer will i wander my 검색 has led to you
Normally, this style just isn't me, but I feel like I needed to release all of my wrath, turning it into sadness, eventually.
So, I'm not an 이모 poem writer, but I just wanted to 게시하기 this piece I literally just wrote.
I am broken
There's no one left to fix me.
All hope is lost
There's so much I will never be.
I am broken
My world has been shattered.
All hope is lost
I am nothing, destroyed and battered.
I am broken
The world around me falls apart.
All hope is lost
There is no chance for a new start.
I am broken
I have been left here on my own.
All hope is lost
There's no one else; I am here alone.
I am broken
The pain is too much for me to bare.
All hope is lost
In the end, the others just don't care.
I was broken
No tears remain in my fearful eyes.
All hope is gone
My world ended with nothing but lies.
