Creating a world, whether for 판타지 of sci-fi, is no easy task. Worlds contain wonders of all kinds, plus various cultures, climates, and creatures. From my own research, many writers use parts of this world, the "real" world, as the basis for their own worlds. I've compiled this guide from personal experience. Wherever possible, I've included examples. (Note: othe examples can be found in various places on this site. The avid user can find them with relative ease.)
LOCATION
The universe is a big place. Your world has to be somewhere. Its position in the universe could affect your characters 또는 plot. 별, 스타 Wars always takes place in a galaxy far, far away.
APPEARANCE
Most worlds are similar to Earth. Pern, for example, has many Earth-like features, which played into its history. Yet, it also had differences, making it a world of its own. These differences, such as Thread, greatly affected the lives of the author's characters. Earth has many varied geographies. 당신 can pick and choose where 당신 want the ones 당신 like.
CLIMATE
Climate can play a huge part in your world's history. Again, Pern's climate is similar to Earth. However, 당신 can make your world any way 당신 like.
LIFE
The lifeforms of your world will act out the history 당신 write for them. First, determine what beings the world will have. Then follow the 다음 tips in order.
CULTURE
Every civilization has a culture. Earth has hundreds of examples. Literature has that many 또는 more. 당신 can borrow from any cuture 당신 choose.
LANGUAGE
How will your characters communicate? I suggest creating a different language for each culture/kind of being. If 당신 need inspiration, peruse The Lord of the Rings. Notes on the languages are provided in the back.
HISTORY
Now the fun begins. How do the various cultures interact? Is there peace 또는 war? For inspiration, peruse any history 책 당신 can find. 글쓰기 the history is the most fun.
YOUR STORY
I put this section last because all the other elements affect the story's plot. Keep all your notes handy as 당신 write. That way 당신 can check facts 또는 translate a phrase. Let the world's history and cultures guide your plot. A single argument could have its start centuries before your story. Without the history of that argument, you'll never understand how your characters are thinking during the argument.

I hope this little guide has proved useful. Please leave a 코멘트 또는 any tips of your own.

My type of emotions conveys
onto how i'm really feeling inside,
my thoughts mainly consist on the
back-ground of my poetry.

As my addictive persona
starts to silhouette every-
word that i've written out
the nature of my emotions
starts to unravel at every-
line,

My 시 has a piece
of imagination within it-
self, the artwork of
each line has it's own
significant meaning.

Where the beauty is
that's where the poetry
lives, it lives within my soul,
as i carry each and every-line
with care, i start to share a
piece of me inside every-
lyrical line that i compose.

God's 로스트 Child
 Chapter 1:   Wasteland

"Adam? 당신 should have a look at this..... It's bizarre." Said a feeble scientist wearily as he pushed his round glasses back up the precipice of his rigid nose as his eyes flitted from the clipboard in his hand to the experiment before him.  A pencil was clad to his hand as he scribbled away ferociously at the clipboard.
"This had better be good, not like what 당신 thought was amazing the last time."...

Behind the door
of your destiny
are dreams
that still shine
in the haze
of your memories.

These dreams
are so distant
and invisible,
though your eyes
still stare into them.

Everything is so foggy
like your thoughts.
당신 sit alone
trying to reach that
small piece of happiness,
trying to find
a purpose of life.

Dreams that still
live in you
are smothered by
the cruel reality.
But, they still live
inside,
feeding the memories,
reviving the soul.

Dreams,
even if they are
condemned to oblivion,
live within your heart,
in hope,
in remembrance,
shining in
the haze of
your memories.
