No, they both created these amazing fantasy worlds out of virtually nothing. They're both amazing and successful but in the end, incomparable.

JK Rowling was one of the first people who's books caused a large group of children and adults alike to take an interest in reading. Though Stephenie's series is amazing, it would probably have a much smaller audience had it not been for the Harry Potter Series.

uh ok DarkSarcasm why would you hate Stephenie Meyer at all?

I believe the simplest way to explain it would be, that I'm loyal to the characters and not the person who created them (thank Jo Rowling for this). Basically, if she fucks up the characters I've grown to love (not minor stuff - I'm talking majorly FUBAR), I'm not going to be happy (or quiet) about it. It's complicated, but that's the best explanation I can come up with at this hour, LOL.

on the creativity scale, J. K. Rowling is much better. i mean, writing the Harry Potter books took ALOT of creativity... making the school, the way they got there, the creatures, the OTHER schools... everything in that book took creativity. Meyer isn's so creative with the Twilight series... the only real thing that's creative in it is the Volturi, and vamps could come out durring the day, didnt have fangs, and could drink animal blood rather than just human blood.... oh and the fact that they sparkle ^_^. so creativity wise, J.K. wins hands down. but writing stories as a whole... Harry Potter vs. Twilight series... its pretty close. but theres only ONE J.K. Rowling. and i agree with DarkSarcasm about the whole being loyal to the characters and getting piffed if they screw up the characters majorly... no one could stay quite about that lol

J.K Rowling is a lot more succesful than Stephanie Meyer...she is the richest woman in england AND her books are read by pratically equal amounts of both genders...not just girls with the odd boy flicking through it
