This chapter is all about forgetting and moving foward. Loving someone and them losing them/having to let them go is a really hard thing to do. But with the right friend/person, it can be just a little bit easier and 당신 often won't even know it's happening.

Edward POV

I pulled back from the two of them and looked at Bella. "I thought 당신 weren't coming untill later." I wiped my eyes and set Mason down who went to sit with Carlisle.

"I wasn't. But 당신 needed me." She smiled slightly as I wiped her tears.

"You would think we had been dating for years." I chuckled lightly.

She laughed and sighed. "I promised to be your friend first. 당신 needed your friend to tell 당신 'it's okay to cry'." She started to tear up again.

"I just needed you." I pulled her in for a hug.

"I am so sorry, Edward." She wispered into my shoulder. "I can't imagine losing Emmett."

I pulled back again and rested my fourhead on hers. 당신 would really we would have been dating for years...engaged...married even 의해 the way we acted around eachother. I often thought we might be moving a little fast, but I couldn't bring myself to care.

"Edward, Dear." My mother's soft voice made me turn. "You can go see her now. She's stable. Doctor Savene said she's going to be fine." She smiled tearfully.

I turned back to Bella and kissed her head. "I'm going to talk to Kate. When I get back, I want 당신 to go see her."

"I don't really know her, Edward." Bella wispered.

"I know." I backed away. "Get to know her." I smiled at Bella one last time and went to sit beside my sister.

"Hey." I sighed. "I swear if 당신 were texting and driving I'm going to bust your ear drum. I 사랑 당신 and all, but I can't keep making trips up here because your 'soul mate' text 당신 and told 당신 he missed you." I smiled slightly.

She didn't wake up.

"I met someone else. She's....for lack of better words, amazing. She's so beautiful. Long brown hair, big doe brown eyes, she blushes at everything." I chuckled. "She's really helping me forget. She told me it was okay to forget and that I would have to at some point. She's pretty much my rock right now. She knows what I'm going through because her fiance died about 5 years ago. Riley. It's so hard on her still because she has a son, Mason, who's four. He must look like Riley because he hardly looks like Bella." I smiled at the thought of him.

"He's always going and talking. He loves soccer, much like I did. Bella said he's shy when he first meets people but I guessed he and I just...clicked. The first 일 we met he talked though the entire lunch. I didn't even get to talk to Bella." I laughed.

"I can't wait for 당신 to meet them. Doc say's you're going to be alright so 당신 will get to. I have a feeling 당신 and Bella will get along really well." My stomache growled to fill up the silence. "I haven't eaten since last night. I'm going to get some grub." I kissed her scraped fourhead and left the room.

Bella looked over to me, Mason in her lap talking away with Esme. He was getting excited over what ever it was. He was flinging his arms around and his eyes were huge. His face was red and his eyes were just glowing. I looked back to Bella and smiled. "I'm going to get something to eat. Your turn."

She tood up, placing Mason in her 좌석 and walked up to me. "Edward, I don't-"

I placed my hand over her mouth. "Just go." I lightly pushed her into the room. "Don't get to loud in here. There is an old lady 다음 door. Wouldn't want to wake her with all your girl talk." I winked and left her lighly laughing in the room.


Bella POV

I walked causiously over to Kate's 침대 and sat in the chair that was 다음 to it. She open her eyes and looked at me.

"You must be Bella." She smiled.

I started to get up to go get a doctor but she grabbed my hand. "Don't tell them yet. I want to talk to you."

I nodded and sat back down. "Does Edward know you're awake?" I asked.

"No." She smiled. "He was to busy talking about you, I didn't want him to stop."

"Me?"

"Yeah." She sighed. "I woke up to 'She's pretty much my rock right now'. I heard all about you. He said 당신 were helping him forget."

"I don't know if I'm much help with that." I shook my head.

"You have him forgetting and he doesn't even know it. He didn't say her name not one time the whole time he was in here. And he barely even talked about the forgetting. The rest was about 당신 and Mason. Speaking of, where is he?"

"Out side. Sitting with your mother."

"Go get him. She will spoil him rotten if 당신 don't hurry. Plus I want to meet him." She smiled.

I smiled back and walked out into the hall.
"Mason?"

"Yeah, Momma?" She turned to me from Esme.

"Can 당신 come in here with me for a little bit?"

"Yeah." He smiled. "I will finish my story when I get back."

"I will be waiting right here." Esme smiled.

He took my hand. "What were 당신 telling Esme?"

"That time Uncle Emmett took me to the gym with him. There was these biggest guys I have ever saw. Even bigger than Uncle Emmett!"

"Wow." I smiled. "They muct have been as big as a tree."

"They was, Momma." He nodded furiously. "The biggest 나무, 트리 ever!"

I laughed adn set him in my lap 다음 to Kate. "Mason, this is Kate. Edward's little sister."

"Hi Mason." She smiled. "You're very handsom."

"Thank you! Do 당신 want to hear my story about the biggest mans I ever saw?"

"Maybe some other time, Sweetie." I stopped him.

"Edward told me all about you. He thought I was asleep." she giggled.

"You tricked him?" Mason laughed. "You were really awake?"

"Yup. Edward's just a little bit on the weird side."

Mason burst into laughter causing Kate and I to laugh.

"You know, I can really see why Edward is really smitten with 당신 two." Kate smiled, tearing up. "Being my big brother, he was always strong. He never cried-that I saw anyway- he was always in a good mood. Ready for whatever life threw at him. But when Sara passed, he just...crumbled. We all did. But here 당신 are. Making him laugh, crying with him, living with his baggage. 당신 two have put a light back in his eye. His happiness was just puring out of him when he was in here. It's contagious. 당신 have made him Edward again." She cried.

I pulled her into a hug, crying myself. Edward had really been damaged 의해 Sara passing, causing everyone to crumble in someway. "He was like a zombie. Going through the motions, never really living. And here 당신 are." She sobbed. "Putting him back together. And so fast. I really hope you're it for him Bella. 당신 and Mason. I really hope his story ends with 당신 two in it."

"Thank you." I cried.

"I think we all want that." A soft voice came from behind us.

I let go and turned around to Esme. "You're doing wonders for Edward. I really hope you're here to stay." She pulled me into a hug.

"Thank you, as well." I cried.

"No, Darling. Thank you." She sniffed.


Edward POV

I reached the hallway and saw Carlisle standing in the doorway, tears streaking his face.

"Dad?"

He put his finger to his lips and pointed to the room. I reached the 우주 다음 to him and say Bella hugging my sister.

"He was like a zombie. Going through the motions, never really living. And here 당신 are." She was crying. "Putting him back together. And so fast. I really hope you're it for him Bella. 당신 and Mason. I really hope his story ends with 당신 two in it."

"Thank you." Bella was crying as well.

"I think we all want that." My mother spoke.

Bela turned around and looked at my mother. "You're doing wonders for Edward. I really hope you're here to stay." She pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you, as well." Bella cried.

"No, Darling. Thank you." Esme sniffed.


I didn't know my own tears were falling untill I felt them on my lips. I felt a tug on my pants and I looked down at Mason, picking him up and putting him on my hip.

He laid his head on my shoulder and yawned. "I 사랑 you, Edward."

I choked on a sob. "I 사랑 당신 too, Buddy."
