I remember visiting this website once...
It was called The Originals: Hayley's best moments | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
(Spoiler alert: You might not want to click through this gallery if you haven’t seen the May 30 episode of
, she was the woman who’d helped Tyler Lockwood break his sire bond to Klaus. Years later, she’d become a mom to Hope, a member of the Mikaeson family, and one of
‘ most beloved characters. Here, we remember some of her highlights.
The Originals/Vampire Diaries world wouldn’t dare defy Klaus Mikaelson. But Hayley wasn’t most people. Throughout the series, Hayley was never afraid to stand up to the malicious ill-tempered hybrid; from when she had to stop him from killing her future husband Jackson in season 2, to when she vengefully and ferociously attacked him for separating her from her daughter in season 3. (Watch that amazing scene here.)
Hayley’s marriage to Jackson was but one example of her dedication to her pack, the people she put even above her own happiness. Proof? Despite her feelings for Elijah, she married Jackson so that the other wolves would inherit her hybrid powers. (And, along the way, she also grew to love Jackson.)
Hayley was always a fierce fighter, a trait that was only magnified when she became a hybrid. And at the beginning of season 3, Hayley single-handedly took out an entire witch squad, which was one of her most badass moments on the show to date.
Hayley and Elijah’s love story was nothing short of complicated. After all, they fell in love while she was pregnant with his brother’s child. But over the seasons, they never stopped caring for each other, and together, they delivered some of the show’s most romantic moments. —
Every time she helped save the Mikaelson family
It took Hayley a little while to truly feel like one of the Original family. After all, it’s not easy to break into the circle of “always and forever.” But the moment Hayley considered them family, she was willing to risk her life for them, whether it meant leaping across balconies to help Elijah fight The Strix or spending years traveling around doing everything she could to reunite the Mikaelson family. The moral: Hayley saved them. Repeatedly.
Motherhood is never easy, especially not when your child is a tribrid who’s constantly in danger. But Hayley was able to raise a loving daughter while somehow also helping Klaus manage all of his many,
emotions. Not only did she never trash talk the big bad Klaus to Hope, she made sure her daughter knew all the good things to love about her (sometimes evil) father. —
One of Hayley’s defining traits was her compassion. When we first met her on
The Vampire Diaries, she was helping Klaus’ hybrids break free from the sire bond. Thankfully, she didn’t lose that willingness to help others when she made the move over to The Originals — see when she decided to train newby vampire Cami in season 3 even though she was still grieving Jackson’s death.
In the sixth episode of the final season, Hayley bound her werewolf side, which reduced her to just being a vampire and made her vulnerable to the sun. But that didn’t stop her from sacrificing herself to save her daughter by tackling Nazi-vampire Greta into the sunlight. This seems like the perfect end for the little wolf: She went out in a literal blaze of glory defending the people she loves the most.
