Opportunity of a Lifetime
Chapter 1
My name is Loryn and I am from the states. I won the Solar Blue contest. I get to spend an entire 년 on the Gold Coast and train and surf everyday! Ekkkk!! I'm so excited!! Solar Blue usually only pick the ones that have one their contest in Australia but I sent in a tape saying why I wanted to get in, what it would mean and a video showing my surfing skills. I know I'm not that good but I really want to get and see how much I can improve.
But here is the draw back. I am going to he away from my family for an entire year! I haven't even been a week without a family member before. I already know that I am going to he really 집 sick. Then there are all of my 프렌즈 from school and my swim buddies! I 사랑 them all, specially my swimming buddies! They are like my family! I spend 4 days out of the week with them for 3 hours each day! I live in the water. With this opportunity I get a chance to grow up, learn new skills and become better on two of the best things; Surfing and Cooking! I'm not that great of a cook but how the past years livid in the house everyone shares duties! So that means cooking and cleaning! I know it's going to be hard because I'm not really a morning person! I 더 많이 of a night owl and an afternoon person ( that's when I usually wake up).
But no 더 많이 looming at the negative things! I am going to look on all of the positives. Starting now! But I just thought there is another person that I am going to miss 더 많이 than anyone! My best friend Luke. He has always been there for me and now we are going to have to video chat! And like Australia is like on a different time than Florida is. ( I am not good with these kind of thugs to tell 당신 the truth!) but back on the positive things! I leave bright and early in the morning. I leave approximately at 3:30 am! That will be 5 hours from now. I have to leave the house at 1:30 just to get to the airport and get checked in. Is going to be a pain! I am so worried that my boards are going to get 로스트 또는 broken! I am lucky though because I only have to board two different planes! The first plane I get on is the one in Atlanta, Georgia and the 초 is L.A.X. Here is the beginning of one of the best opportunities of a lifetime!
When I get to Solar Blue, I will be the only American there. There I will share a room with another girl that I've never met before. All in all there will 3 other girls and 4 guys. I'm kinda nervous. Wonder if no one likes me. I hope I make a good first impression to everyone! Well I better finish my last 분 packing and putting pieces of foam under and on 상단, 맨 위로 of my boards in their bag.
