Ashton and I left the house as we said our goodbyes to everyone.
Ashton, where are we going? I asked.
Ashton answered the 질문 once he had opened my door to his black  
Range Rover.
It's a surprise! He told me.
Ashton drove for a 시간 which I'm guessing we went pretty far because  
the speedometer said 80 miles per 시간 the whole way. Ashton pulled up  
to a fancy resturant. A valet boy opened my door for me while Ashton  
was handing his car key to the other valet boy. They were both pretty  
cute but Ashton looked amazing in his tux. As we walked inside the  
resturant Ashton held my hand. I felt something click. I don't know  
what happen but it was like if I was away from him my world would fall  
apart completely. The waitress lead us to a 표, 테이블 that was private.  
People were still around but they wouldn't be able to hear us as we  
talked. We ate 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 and then Ashton and I walked acrossed the  
street. I saw that it was a 바닷가, 비치 so I took my heels off and Ashton  
graciously offered to carry them for me. It was windy and cold out 의해  
the beach. Ashton being the most perfect and sweetest guy in the world  
gave me his tux 재킷, 자 켓 to wear. It was so warm. Although Carlisle had  
told me that my 늑대 gene was fully back I somehow had missed the  
whole warm part which I was very unhappy about.

We walked a little along 바닷가, 비치 until we came across some drunk people.
저기요 honey, come over here. One guy said.
Ashton and I kept on walking.
Hey, I was talking to you. The same guy said.
Ashton turned around and pulled ke behind him.
Leave her alone. Ashton told the man.
Oh, come on. I'm trying to have some fun. Lighten up. The drunk guy  
said.
For some reason my body was just making me stand still. I couldn't put  
up a fight for myself. It was like if I tried to defend myself I would  
scare Ashton off but he knew that I was a shapeshifter and I was  
stroung.
Samantha baby, give me another chance. The drunk guy said.
How do 당신 know my name? I asked.
You've already forgotten me. The guy said.
Sam? I asked in confusion.
Yeah sweetheart, it's me. Sam said.
What are 당신 doing here? I asked.
I didn't think 당신 would get over me so fast. Sam said.
I haven't. I told him.
Samantha, what's going on? Ashton asked.
This is Sam, he was my old boyfriend. I said as I looked at my feet.
Samantha, do 당신 want to come hangout with me? Sam asked me.
No, I hate you. I said choking on my tears.
Don't be that way 당신 little bitch. Sam said.
Come on Samantha, we're leaving. Ashton said.
I grabbed Ashton's hand and we started walking back to the resturant  
where the valet parking was.
I wiped my tears away from my face before we got back into the light  
where people could see that I was crying. Ashton turned towards me  
once we were under a 거리 light and wiped away my smeared mascara.
I'm sorry. I choked out.
For what? A guy breaking your heart. He said.
Yeah. I said.
Samantha that's not your fault. He said.
That happens to every girl. He said.
Yeah but this was different. I said.
Did he hurt you? Ashton asked.
No. I said.
Then what happen? He asked.
He tried to use his vamp powers on me. I said.
He's a vampire! Ashton said.
Shh. I said.
Ashton looked around and made sure no one heard us speaking.
What did he do? He asked.
He used his mind controling. He told me that I didn't 사랑 him and he  
didn't 사랑 me but all I comprehended when he told me was that he  
didn't 사랑 me. I said.
Ashton just stood there looking at me with the most sympithetic  
looking face.
I'm sorry. Ashton ended up telling me once I stopped talking and  
starred toward the ocean.
He pulled me into a hug and then we walked back towards the 바닷가, 비치 but  
in the oppostie direction.
I never told anyone how much Sam had hurt me even though pretty much  
all of the Cullens knew. I said.
I'm sorry, we just stood there. Ashton told me.
It's okay. I said.
I want 당신 to know that 당신 can tell me anything. I won't tell anyone.  
He said.
Thank you. I said.
We found a life guard tower to sit on and Ashton wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I laid my head on his shoulder.
No one really ever asked me if I was truely over Sam. I told Ashton.
Are 당신 over him? He asked.
Yes, but the pain the regret of meeting him is still there. I said.
I'm sorry. He said.
Yeah me too. I said.
I had silent tears flowing down my face.
Awe Samantha. Ashton said as he realized that I was crying.
I'm sorry, I'm getting makeup all over your shirt. I said.
It's okay, it'll wash out. He said.
Ashton continued to hug me and of course I continued to cry.
I hate being like this. I said.
Like what? He asked.
Before I moved here, I hadn't cried since I was a little baby and now it seems like I cry everyday. I said.
That's okay. He said.
Yeah, but it makes me feel so helpless. I said.
Being helpless sometimes is a good thing. He said.
Really? How? I asked.
Well being helpless means that I can help 당신 with your homework, your car 또는 pretty much anything 당신 want me to help 당신 with. Meaning help is the key word. He said.
I smiled. That's the first real smile I have done in months. I said.
Let's go home. He said.
Okay. I said.
Umm, I have an idea. People are going to wonder why you've been crying but 당신 don't have to go with this unless 당신 really want to. He said.
What is it? I asked.
We could act liked we're engaged. He said.
Okay. I said smiling.
He pulled out a ring and put it on my left hand.
Is this real? I asked.
Yeah, it belonged to my mother. He said.
Wow, it's beautiful. I said.
Yeah. He said.
I hate to wear it. I said.
Why? He asked.
I don't want anything to happen to it. I said.
It's okay. He said.
Ashton pulled me onto his back and gave me a piggy back ride to the car. Having the ring on my finger gave me a new feeling a good feeling. I hadn't ever felt it before. Ashton still had my heels, carrying them while I still had on his jacket. Once the valet boy went and got our car we were on our way home.
Here is the ring back. I said once we were in the car.
I handed him the ring and he stared at it and then rubbed his finger across the diamond. 
What happen to your mother? If 당신 don't want to tell me it's okay. I said. 
No, it's fine. He said. 
She left my father and I was twelve. She didn't say goodbye 또는 anything. He said. 
I'm sorry. I said. 
It's okay. I've moved on. My father gave me this ring when she left because that's the only thing she left. He said. 
I didn't know what to say. I could tell that he was remembering because his eyes were filling up with tears. 
Ashton, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. I said. 
No, it's okay. It's hard sometimes. I hate when people do things like that. He said. 
Yeah me too. I said. 
That's why I was so upset at Sam. I don't know him but how could anyone want to leave 당신 또는 send 당신 away. He said. 
Yeah, I don't understand why Sam didn't Just say let's break up and my parents! Don't even get me started. I said. 
Sam is asshole and I don't know why your parents sent 당신 away and I'm not meaning to disrespect them 또는 anything but that's odd for sending 당신 away when 당신 didn't do anything wrong. He said.  
Yeah, I probably won't ever fully understand but at least I met you. I said. 
Right as those words came out of my mouth I started blushing. 
You're so cute when 당신 blush. He said. 
While driving Ashton held my hand and it seemed like the world was standing still like everything was perfect. 
What's wrong. Ashton asked.
Nothing. I was just thinking how everything is perfect. I said.  
Nothing is really ever perfect but this is pretty close for me. He said. 
Would 당신 want to go surfing tomorrow? I asked. 
Yeah, but we have school tomorrow. He said.
Oh shoot. I have tons of homework to finish. I said. 
Don't worry me too. We can do it together. He said. 
Okay. I said.
Once we got to my house I changed out of my dress and put on my pajamas. Ashton changed into baggy sweatpants with a t-shirt. While I washed my makeup off 또는 at least what was left Ashton got our homework out. 
Umm, Samantha. Did we already finish our homework? He asked. 
I don't think so, why? I said. 
It's finished. He said.
Sweet! Thank 당신 to whoever finished our homework. I yelled downstairs. 
No problem. Anytime Sammy. Emmett yelled. 
Sammy? Ashton said. 
Yeah what is it? I asked. 
It's cute. It fits you. He said. 
Oh okay. I just laughed to myself. 
Why did 당신 laugh? Do 당신 not like being called Sammy? He asked. 
No, I don't care. I was laughing because I thought 당신 were trying to get my attention not just repeating my name. I said. 
Oh, blonde moment then? He said. 
Yeah pretty much. 당신 better get use to it. I said. 
I walked out of the bathroom and had no makeup on but Ashton thought I looked beautiful. 
Thanks, do 당신 want to watch a movie? I asked. 
Sure. He said. 
What do 당신 want to watch? I asked. 
Anthing is fine with me. He said. 
Really, even a chick flick? I asked. 
Sure, I don't watch to many of those but it's fine. He said. 
This isn't a chick flick but we could watch my 가장 좋아하는 movie. I said. 
Okay, that's fine. What is it? Ashton asked. 
The Guardin. I told him. 
What is it about? He asked. 
The United States Coast Guard. Well sorta but I like. I said. 
Okay. He said. 
I but the DVD in and then climbed on my 침대 다음 to Ashton. Ashton had wrapped his arm around and I had forgotten how hot a 늑대 can be. I didn't even make it through half of the movie before I fell asleep. I woke up when Ashton tried to 옮기기 his arm out from underneath my head. 
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake 당신 up. He said. 
It's okay. Are 당신 leaving? I asked. 
Yeah, I was. Why? He asked. 
Oh, 당신 were keeping me warm but it's okay if 당신 leave. I said. 
My dad is probably gettig worried. I'll pick 당신 for school in the mroning. He said. 
Okay bye. Be careful. I said. 
Okay. I wil. He said. 
He gave me a light 키스 on the lips and then left my room. I fell asleep quickly.
It had only felt like I was asleep for a 분 when Alice came in my room and woke me up. 
Alice, please leave me alone. I said. 
No, you've got to get ready. She told me. 
I don't feel good. I said. 
What's wrong? She asked. 
I'm cold, sleepy and I just feel weird. I said. 
Okay, I'll go get Carlisle. She said. 
No, just please let me sleep. I said. 
Okay, but if 당신 feel any worse call me and I'll get Carlisle. She said. 
Okay. I moaned. 
I fell back asleep and no 더 많이 than what felt like ten 분 Rose and Emmett were in my room. 
What's wrong Sammy? Emmett asked. 
I don't feel good. I said. 
Well what doesn't feel good? Rose asked. 
I'm sleepy and my stomach feels weird. I said. 
Okay. Go back to sleep and we'll see if it helps. Emmett said. 
They left the room and I once again fell back asleep. When I woke up it was dark outside and I rolled over and hit what felt like a hot brick. 
Sorry. Ashton said. 
It's okay. I can't see it's dark. I said. 
He turned my lamp on. 
Dang, I've slept all day. I said. 
Let's go downstairs and get 당신 something to eat. He said. 
Nah, I'm not hungry. I told Ashton. 
Okay. He said. 
We ended up watching a movie and this time Ashton feel asleep before me but i fell alseep not that much longer afterwards. When I woke up the sun was just coming up and it was time to get ready to go to school. I carefully got off the 침대 without waking Ashton up and then went and got in the shower. Ashton was gone once I was out of the 샤워 but Alice came in to help me get ready and told me that he would pick me up for school. I just wore sweatpants and a sweatshirt. It was so cold outside that I didn't really feel like dressing up. I just focused on staying warm. Ashton and I had moved our classes around to where we had everyone one of them the at the same time.
