After the first few episodes something became apparent. The concept of the show was fine... better than fine. But the potential would have been extraordinary if the show was about the executives running a network - not two guys running a sketch comedy show.

Some of the best story lines come from the dynamics of running a network (censorship, politics of advertising and marketing, new shows and old shows, etc...).

I would 사랑 to see this come back (or another writer develop the concept) of the "behind-the-scenes" at a national network.

Unfortunately it looks like Aaron Sorkin has moved on and we'll never get this potenitally great show!

I had high hopes for Studio 60. Great 글쓰기 credentials in Aaron Sorkin, great actors, great premise.

So what went wrong?

Though the first episode was pretty good, each successive episode has been increasingly worse.

It began with the focus on the character of Harriett, who is ostensibly the "funniest woman on television," yet is played 의해 an actress who is so out of place on a sketch comedy show that it boggles the mind. It's apparent that she can do a Juliette Lewis and 호랑 가시 나무, 홀리 Hunter impression, but so what? Can 당신 see a skit involving either of them on SNL?
